  1. usually ini tweaks do more damage than they help. tweaking the havok settings correctly takes a really long time and a lot of testing.
  2. at this time almost every mod is a wip...
  3. yup. looks like bad multi-core-management to me... but that's how skyrim is. directly ported from xbox to pc and ages later finished with optimizations if at all.
  4. well, just thinking for a sec, that if your problem is a texture mod, maybe it's because a really really big amount of data has to be processed and sent from your cpu and gpu and back and forth and so on. this enormous data traffic might cause stutters. and skyrim is a 32bit application with LAA-awareness but neverless it's not going to split split threads on all of your cores evenly so that there's not one core that gets overloaded. maybe you run perfmon on TESV.exe to see whether one of your cores is being overburdened. Not sure how you can fix that, though. But hey I'm only guessing. also, nvrmind the off-topic. if something interesting about skyrim glitches/bugs/problems is to be discussed then all of my threads are open for it :)
  5. maybe a vanilla papyrus scripting bottleneck?
  6. You Sure that your settings are Set to Maximum Performance?
  7. i haven't used ddsopt on any textures during this testing phase but usually i do. so no, unfortunately that's not the problem.
  8. Then Write to the Mod Autor. Maybe He still Supports it.
  9. If its on Vanilla and uskp doesn't fix it, contact them or post the issue on their bug tracker.
  10. Sry but i have to correct some things here: z-fighting can Happen absolutely everywhere. This here is z-fighting but no tweak in your ini can fix that. You have to apply better z-buffer-values for the Tree-textures manually with the ck. Uskp has fixed several Close z-fighting issues from vanilla skyrim, if you only get this glitch with Mods contact the mod Autors if it happens on vanilla too contact uskp.
  11. Why the heck is it called stahlrim?! No Wonder i couldn't find it...
  12. I definitely just can't find this mod anywhere on my computer although it's been downloaded and installed by steam and i can activate the esp's in the skyrim game launcher. Help?
  13. yup, seems as if it is a farely good driver...
  14. weird. never got any freezing, but maybe i just don't care enough about bugs and animals. Well, if i move up close to a deer or elk they start running away but sometimes it takes them longer than other times. what do you think? is this your bug?
  15. General recommendation for skyrim: DON'T GO SLI!!!
  16. your dots are probably called "texture shimmering". they're artifacts caused by anti-aliasing with the wrong settings.
  17. 32 CSAA is not effective for skyrim.
  18. that's so freaking stupid... i think that piece of armor looks s****y, too...
  19. I'm always resizing to 1024 textures. there are less probs which tells me that skyrim kills itself if vram runs out on a sli config because it can't manage it correctly. to be honest: if vram maxes out stuttering is normal but artifacts is definitely a more severe problems.
  20. ever tried to disable raid? not sure whether it works alright with ssd's. if you know better, nvrmind ^^ - are you using a gamebooster? if yes, try it without, if not try it out. - run steam in offline mode and disable steam overlay in game. - deactivate your real-time security from your anti-virus. - run perfmon on tesv.exe for 1000% detail or just use "Skyrim Performance Monitor". maybe you find the culprit. - activate logging, tracing and debugging for papyrus in your skyrim.ini and see whether the lag is somehow to be backtraced to a bad script. - delete all scripting related mods and try to reproduce the lag.
  21. Both are part of my normal install, so no luck there. he meant to only apply SMIM and USKP to a vanilla install. leave out all of the other mods.
  22. Nope they're perfectly fine. I get more and more problems the longer I play skyrim but only skyrim. it drives me nuts. and i know that i'm not the only one with those problems.
  23. useful would be to know which of those commands actually do not get auto-deactivated by the creation engine...
