  1. The poetry one should probably be removed too, I think. Waste of a plugin spot.
  2. Is there a way to disable certain weapons added by Project Nevada/WMX Modern Weapons? Some of them are made redundant due to the better quality versions provided by Millenia, so all they do is clog up the list of weapons. One particular weapon I recall is the Chinese Pistol added by PN, which is pointless because Millenia made a Mauser C96 that looks way better.
  3. Realistic World Map, which has a much higher resolution than the one included in the guide. Shiloh Coloured Map, specifically for the modified map icons. Shiloh Pipboy Screen, which makes the map a lot clearer. CellHUD, for a nicer looking HUD. Realistic Wasteland Lighting, which IMO looks far better than Nevada Skies, even though it lacks the various weather patterns implemented by that mod. Mojave Sandy Desert, not lore-friendly but I really like how it looks, good if you're sick of looking at the comparatively drab Mojave sand on your millionth playthrough. Caesar's New Regime, beefs up the Legion and adds a bunch of cool-looking armors. Lonesome Road Marked Man Roberts Fix, makes the Marked Men compatible with Roberts so the textures don't screw up on them. I believe Nivea is working to implement this properly in the future. She also posted a fix for the extreme shininess on marked man skins caused by this mod, found in the posts section of the Roberts mod page. Roberts and Type 3 sweaty skin (NSFW), makes the skins more sweaty, I think it looks pretty good and is suitable considering the hot climate. IHWT, improves the textures for a bunch of weapons not covered by other mods. XChainsaw, upgrades the chainsaw textures. Better Authority Glasses, right what it says on the tin. Something to note, I'd recommend placing the Ghouls Hires Texture mod below New Vegas Redesigned 3. NVR3 overwrites it, and the textures it uses are of a far lower quality.
  4. Can't check right now, but I believe I placed it quite high up in the load order to avoid conflicting with other stuff. I used the conflict tab to check for any conflicting mods that could easily be overwritten, and simply hid the offending files.
  5. Yeah, it does a good job of covering stuff that most other mods don't. I use it along with the FOOK texture and mesh fixes so that typewriters and other stuff no longer look terrible.
  6. I used it with Nevada Skies, had no problems, but using it with Alternative Start caused issues.
  7. Freeside Open kills performance in Freeside, so I really wouldn't recommend it. Outside Bets supposedly also has a large performance impact, but I use it myself anyway because of the amount of stuff it restores. New Vegas Uncut 8 is useless, just an altered version of the opening cutscene. Not worth taking up space in your load order, and I think it conflicts with the alternative start mod.
  8. I recall it seemed to cause more problems than it solved, at least in terms of conflicts and dirty edits.
  9. Nevada Skies has an optional brighter nights ESP. Other than that, RWL has less dark nights.
  10. When you create the Bashed Patch, that plugin count should drop by quite a bit, because the patch merges together a bunch of ESPs, so they can simply be un-ticked in the load order. I have around 103 ESPs in my load order (I've got a few mods that aren't part of the guide), but around 16 are merged into the bashed patch, so they're unchecked, leaving me with 87 active ESPs, and a perfectly stable game (for the most part). Also FCO isn't really a hair/eye mod. It has improved textures for them, but its primary goal is improved faces. Though for this guide, it's used as a baseline for New Vegas Redesigned 3, which requires it to work properly.
  11. Yeah, I'm still using it myself, but it has a pretty tremendous amount of dirty edits. Even the author of Spice of Life was surprised lol. Also for some reason or another, he designed the characters to look best when the pipboy light is enabled. Or is that an issue with the vanilla game as well?
  12. There's a non-coloured version as part of the installer, which is good.
  13. Realistic World Map should probably replace the one currently included in the guide, I think. Resolution is 4x larger, and it looks better overall. Also Shiloh's map icons are a nice replacement for the vanilla icons. Makes it easier to pick out more unique locations like vaults and ranger stations.
  14. I tried that, hence why I posted to ask if anyone knew of other settings. And it's not paying too much attention, the beard transparency is on full display when his head is moving around :P
  15. This Nifskope setting does a good job with the transparency issues with certain hairstyles in ENB. Now does anyone know a way to mitigate the issues with facial hair? It's made even worse with FCO because it makes some beards thinner, making the transparency more obvious. The first picture is vanilla New Vegas, second is modded, third is modded with FCO.
  16. I'm really happy to hear that, mate. The stuff you've already done looks fantastic :)
  17. I'm using that mod, but it misses a good number of outfits that are covered by Hall of Equipment, like Doc Mitchell's outfit. Shame, because the stuff it does cover is a pretty damn great leap over vanilla.
  18. It seems as though he took the original textures and doubled the size, so they're less blurry, but as a result, the ugliness stands out more.
  19. Wonder if I should remove Hall of Equipment. Some of the retextures manage to look worse than vanilla.
  20. Completely vanilla except for Darn UI and NVAC. Texture mods affect your VRAM more than anything. If it pushes the VRAM past your card's limit, you'll start to get stuttering and frame drops. So if you have a 2GB card like me, a reasonable number of texture mods won't have a major impact on performance.
  21. No, it seems to be a vanilla problem, just checked now.
  22. Are there any mods that make it so that enemies actually fall back when you kill them with your fists? Currently they just crumple into a heap unless you use a power fist or something. Also are hair outlines a vanilla problem? Seeing them even with ENB off. Finally, does anyone else get clipping with ghouls wearing hats? It's especially noticeable with Doc Holiday from New Vegas Bounties II. Part of his forehead sticks through his hat.
  23. Nope, definitely the Nuka Cola mod. I disabled only that mod, and it made my framerate jump to 60.
