Mega Modded Skyrim: 240+ mods.
peacefulmoments replied to peacefulmoments's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
said i wasn't working on this anymore & made my final post but I want to have a good running version of skyrim before I install it to my friends computers so I'm still at it. I removed rainbows because currently I have my slider settings to the 'high' preset with object detail fade on, rainbows needs a minimum of 10 on the object fade slider (or you can't see them), and its only 7 on the high setting. I'm also now running the project enb performance patch, which does even less then the noDOF+noSSAO version; it forces 8xAF which I tweaked the ini to force 16x instead & i've picked no AA & no AF from the launcher & decided not to tweak the shadows etc in skyrimprefs.ini after doing so which seems to have helped. I'm also using FXAA. Â & have removed monster wars because it was killing essential guards & freezing the game during battles sometimes & removed airborne perching birds because sometimes it put frozen birds in the sky that didn't fly or move or anything. I've removed heaps of mods to get a working version of the game and have succeeded in that respect & will be able to install it to my friends computers and then later when I feel like it I'll see which of the other mods I had installed before can be put back into the game without causing problems. most of the 'light' mods like better quest books etc are going back in the game for testing to see if there's a problem with simply having too many mods for skyrim to function properly or if it was indeed specific mods causing the problems. For e.g. deadly combat giants ai fix seems to make farkas not fight the giant when you first visit whiterun because after removing this mod he started fighting again. Removing bloody facials & bloodier combat also fixed a visual thing where farkas would be blacked out with blood from fight before you even get close to the fight which looked bad, shame because the enhanced blood+bloodier combat+bloody facials 90% of the time looked awesome, but since removing them I've had less to zero crashes from fights. the wolves fight on the way to skyrim doesn't stress the pc as much either which leads me to believe that the blood mods & the real wildlife mods were to blame. Also I removed all those dragon mods as there was a dragon sitting on its ass not doing anything near the standing stones on the way to whiterun and kicks your ass if it sees you. I may try installing one or two of the dragon mods i removed again but deadly dragons & dragon lords will do for now. Peace. P.S) if your game stutters when you first load a saved game, save straight away after loading it, then load that new save & the stutters go away. P.P.S) going to try rainbows again one more time p.p.p.s) just found out that the dragon sitting on its ass was bellyaches new dragon species, and is meant to be grounded so you don't have to fight it unless you want to. Think I'll reinstall this one too. just found out there's conflicts with the new deadly dragons & dragons diversified & mighty dragons only has a compat' patch for both of these together so dragons diversified & mighty dragons don't make the cut. -
Mega Modded Skyrim: 240+ mods.
peacefulmoments replied to peacefulmoments's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Hey guys this is my final post, just to let everyone who might read this know I've reduced this build significanlty due to too many problems with crashes and freezing. The build is now around 233 mods, doesn't crash, no odd behavior from creatures or NPCs everything works as intended with no meshes or textures missing. The only thing I can think of that could be called a bug is that the monster mod v11 adds a huge battle outside riften when you first get there and apparently if the guards don't survive they can't talk to you to unlock the gates into riften. here's the list of mods removed from initially posted build- I've added and thats it, I've fixed most of the bugs I was having & am finished with this project. here is the final mod load order list from wyrebash, 233 mods + 7 in a bashed patch for 240 mods. I also used the optimizer on minimum/skyrim preset + if >2048 reduced textures option. Also use background fps booster and razor game booster & project enb for climates of tamriel NO DOF+NO SSAO option and disabled forced 16xanistropic filtering from the enbseries.ini. finally from the launcher my slider settings are default for the 'high' setting, all reflections on, no fxaa, aa4, af 16 'high', object detail fade activated & distant object detail 'ultra'. Peace & happy gaming. -

firstly, Happy new year! :) secondly, there have been some changes to my install & I also discovered that deadly spell impacts works without the esp, not only do the textures appear when they're meant to during combat, but the corpses still take on the burnt flesh effect when zapped or burnt, which is awesome as this was the feature that I thought I had lost by deleting the esp, apparently all the effects from this mod that i'm aware of still work without the esp. also, including the esp makes my game freeze when using magic; so the esp stays off the list. Mods Removed: AIRBORNE PERCHING BIRDS - I still use this mod but deleted the optional .ini file that comes with it - seemed to have an instantly noticeable effect, more bird flying about added by the mod and the game was less glitchy around them. EXPANDED TOWNS & CITIES COMPLETE - causes freeze ups & stuttering in Riverwood whereas trees for solitude, TAVE Riften, realistic whiterun & beautiful whiterun run smoothy. Conclusion: riften solitude & white run have a gate which takes you to a loading screen before entering the towns, riverwood on the other hand is an open area that can be freely run through, I believe that expanding or enhancing towns like riverwood or nearby area to towns like these will cause CTDs, stuttering or freezes. I also base this on the airship located outside solitude and the fact that the airship does not cause similar issues & while anywhere in that whole area the game is running smoothly. this may be in part to the clever idea of putting the airship up high & far away from everything. RIVERWOOD HUNTERS CABIN - very cool balanced home that comes with a quest but causes the same stuttering, freezing & CTDS as ET&C. There are several mods that are activated in or modify riverwood already so its a 'busy' area for mods - ACE synergy, midas magic, AIMP, its a trap, UFO & throwing weapons all modify riverwood; and there may simply be too much going on in that area for house mods as well. TWILIGHT FOREST - Cheat house. Didn't realize how much overpowered gear you instantly got just from fast traveling there the moment you start a new game. a cool alchemy garden is not worth the broken balance. Also this mod looks really bad if you use texture optimizer to reduce textures to 1024 HALF SIZE LUSH ASPEN TREES - for some reason this broke aspen trees everywhere incl. the ones added by realistic/beautiful whiterun. removing the meshes added by this mod fixes it. FULLY EQUIPED BLACKSMITHS - floating objects & bad textures, stands out from everything else and not as uselful/needed as I thought. NOLEVELEDITEMREWARDS - can't bash, can't not bash, can live without. FALL FOREST GRASS - removed for better performance from game. replaced the uninstalled files with those found in TPC/STEP. Before removing these mods I tried solving the freezing, ctds & stuttering with very low slider settings, no enb & textures optimized with the Max/skyrim preset on the optimizer with textures reduced to 1024. This helped but didn't solve the problem, so i think it was a mod problem more then anything else. after removing the mods I rolled back the textures to the higher res versions (varied range from 1024 - 4096) began using ENB without DOF & SSAO, no AA or AF, etc then added these features back, finally i've restored the sliders back to full & the game is still running smoother then before. Currently testing: Hialgo boostperformance ini tweak - vsyncbackground FPS boostertuneup utilities (fixes what CCleaner doesn't - I use both together)razor game booster'max performance' option from windows advanced settingsWilds ENB for CoT/SkyrealismENBCinematic/ProjectENB for CoTPeace. -

You can save yourself a bunch of time and copy all of your mods and plugins from Wrye Bash using the context menu... right click on the header bar and select "List Installers" or "List Mods". This includes both XML and spoiler tags for posting into forums and web pages alike.thanks for the tip, but I'm never doing this again lol, it took an hour and a half & I'd already written the thing. :P I made this mod build for myself and a few friends who aren't familiar with modding, it had to be good enough that I could install it on their computers & not have to go back and fix things all the time, after writing an in game mod setup guide for them & realizing that I'd successfully modded a game to its limits and it was still playable I decided to write up this minimal install guide/mod list & share it online. hopefully someone out there will find it useful & at the least it proves it can be done. Peace. -

thanking you, I still need to make a couple of quick grammar edits, also, hopefully this mod build may prove helpful in figuring out mods you might want to include in future projects. I'm happy to answer any questions anyone has about why I made the selections I did & I'll check back every once in a while to do so. Peace. -

how do I do this spoiler tag thing and where should I use it? I had trouble just getting the text formatting readable... -
Can do; when I figure out how to do screenshots, the ini tweak isn't working so I might try fraps when i get some time...Steam has a screenshot function built into the overlay. Â Hit Shift+Tab to bring it up and then in the bottom right it'll say the key for screenshots. Â Then when you exit the game a window will pop up and you can upload the images to Steam from there or click "View on disk" to browse to the Windows folder. No More Blocky Faces is part of the main XCE compilation.change of pace anyway, scrapped the last config found a perfect fix for what I was after. better beasts cover khajiit male & female ethereal elven overhaul (no optional hi res textures or neck seams happen when used in conjunciton with XCE) XCE full then the clean skin for females patch XCE Hi-res scars (may be included in XCE full if so skip this step) hi res warpaint + dirt for men hi res eyebrows realistic hair believable hair hi res beards lighter version natural eyes eye reflection extended longer lashes. far less steps, still hi res skins for men & women, old people still look old beasts look like beasts, no neck seams & compatable with Tera armors for unp+both hotfixes+3rd beta pack male armors+levelled list. No UNP no CBBE required. Note:Tera armors are non-lore friendly & unbalancing but awesome. Can componsate for higher level unbalancing armors (&weapons should you choose that mod also) with tougher battles & enemies, also the levelled list means enemies have access to the overpowered armor even before you do so it seems to balance itself out well. Peace

DROPPED Elven Weapons for Silence (by Erlioniel)
peacefulmoments replied to TechAngel85's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
i used to not use the amb dwarven armor + hector dwarven shield (matches well) dues to it not matching with the swords but I've gone back to using the amb + hector retextures because they really do look many times better then any other replacers I've used for dwarven or the vanilla/hd pack versions. A mismatch between the armor & weapons is a worthy trade off for the improved armor textures. imho peace -
I use apocalypse spells, midas magic, revenge of collete, ace magic & synergy, & skyrim spells + powers so I didn't want any magic overhaul that messed with the spells, balanced magics main feature seems to be boosting vanilla stats to make everything more powerful in general, which is necessary in my game due to all the added difficulty mods I use for combat. it has modularity across magic skillsets (alteration destruction etc - i use them all) and three levels of boosting (i use master setting which is the least boosting) Balanced magic also doesn't require dawnguard, anything requiring dawnguard doesn't make it into my game as I don't have it. hope that helps some, peace.

ACCEPTED Ultimate HD Fire Effects (by BuzzDee84)
peacefulmoments replied to JudgmentJay's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
cheers for the offer, I might take you up on that, though I'm meant to be working on the several musical & business collaborations I've got going at the moment & to be honest, I just finished my mega modded skyrim config this morning & after spending 2 whole days trying to get navetsea cbbe skin to match nuska realskin navetsea or beauty faces, and failing, i'm a bit burnt out. I have however finally got the desired character diversity & natural looking enhancement I was looking for AND get to keep the Tera armors collection for UNP + 3rd beta male armor pack which I so badly did not want to lose. I found the armor pack works fine with XCE meshes & skins & that I can achieve no neak seam & no plastic shine (2 bains of my modding existence) using better beast races+cover khajiit then ethereal elves (no optional hi res) then XCE+clean skin patch for females then realistic hair+aof believable hair+lighter hi res beards (as per step) then XCE hi res scars+hi res warpaint&dirt for men +hi res eyebrows and finally natural eyes+ran's reflection extended+longer lashes. far fewer steps & a far more vanilla like & generally awesome outcome. sorry to get off topic again. if it helps I've written a decent mod install list incl. skyrimnexus mod numbers so they're ez to look up for download. and the install list is in order. I wanted to post it here anyway but was unsure of the forum rules regarding mods like - swearing mudcrabs, skyhighrim & the cannabis mod, I wouldn't want to post the list without mentioning those mods but don't want to break the rules either. Peace. -
seems it was caused by another mod then, since removing it though things are back to normal, on the subject of glitches though - I also removed a companions guild mod though and a glitch where farkas (?) wouldn't retaliate whilst fighting the giant, just stood there getting pummeled is gone also. & swapping ERSO crime radius, for realistic crime radius fixed the glitch where everyone in dragonsreach attacked me when I went there. a little off topic but hopefully helpful all the same Peace.

actually I'd suggest installing no more blocky faces for ALL males, not just elves, so all males+orcs+elderly also better freckles doesn't seen to clash either... Peace
-
That's a lot of work just for character appearance. Mind posting some screenshots of various characters so we can see your process's end result? Can do; when I figure out how to do screenshots, the ini tweak isn't working so I might try fraps when i get some time... Corrections from my last post - Only Install the female clean patch from XCE & the female clean custom body patch, you don't need the male custom body patch. XCE doesn't effect the elderly - only no more blocky faces does. unless I accidentally deleted a folder somewhere... It seems alot of work but is worth it (I think) and only need to be done once if you copy everything in sequence to a new folder & keep that folder somewhere for whenever you do an install. Peace.

ACCEPTED Ultimate HD Fire Effects (by BuzzDee84)
peacefulmoments replied to JudgmentJay's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Do you have any idea why Deadly Spell Impacts is using an ESP at all if you get the same effects without it?Not sure. I haven't tested it installing just the meshes & textures, I've only tested it after installing it with the esp, running the game, having a crash occur during the wolf fight near riverwood at the start of the game, then removing the esp, recreating the bashedpatch and playing the game again. its a pretty consistant crash too, has occurred in the same way and been solved in the same way through several re-installs of the game. the crashes seem to have something to do with the demand for resources from the pc/graphics card also. For example if I ran vanilla skyrim + enhanced blood textures + bloodier combat + bloody facials & Deadly spell impacts, I'm pretty sure the game would run fine, no crashes or freezes. but because of all the texture packs I'm using, the enb & the 260+ mods, there just doesn't seem to be enough resources for running the deadly spell impacts esp along with everything else. either that or its a conflict with another mod, however as the textures still appear in game without the esp, I can just remove the deadly spell impacts esp. As to why its needed when you get the textures appearing in game without it, I have no idea, though I'd suggest it may have something to do with the pattern that appears on the surface of things you fire spells (how often the texture appears as you move the spell around burning/zapping/freezing things) OR something to do with making it interact with the creatures/enemies/npc models properly. I need to test and see if corspes burn like they're meant to after being hit with fire spells, or if the textures stay the same. as far as I know; the textures on killed-by-fire creatures/enemies/npc's are meant to change to a burnt flesh texture. maybe its needed for something like that; If I figure it out I'll let you know. Peace. -
DROPPED Elven Weapons for Silence (by Erlioniel)

I recommend this mod, I use it with the darker elven armor textures from aMidianBorn & it looks great. Peace. -
I use balanced magic also; I recommend balanced magic (with "Master" setting) over better magic. -Peace.

ACCEPTED aMidianBorn Book of Silence (by CaBaL)
peacefulmoments replied to EisDrache's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I recommend this mod. however the darker less shiny dwarven armors don't match the standard dwarven weapons and as far as I know there aren't any shield/weapon retextures that match it yet. but I use all the other replacers & the elven weapons for silence along with the darker elven textures from aMidianBorn. as a solution you can simply delete the dwarven parts of the book of silence and install the rest. Peace. -
SKYRIMLE Possibly The Most Realistic Rocks and Mountains in Skyrim
peacefulmoments replied to Ramrod51's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
installed the 8k rocks, started new game, ran to standing stones saw a very noticable pattern repeating on the surface of the rocks, a drop in fps & that they generally stood out like they didn't fit with the other textures, I was using the grey version that was meant to blend with the other textures better. I don't recommend this mod. P.S) I was running it alongside step & tpc textures. Peace. -
SKYRIMLE Enhanced Lights and FX (by anamorfus)
peacefulmoments replied to najt's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'm running this mod with step/tpc textures, my own selection of textures, climates of tamriel, laterns, project enb & 260+ mods (via bashed patch) I've had no trouble with it yet and it looks great. I recommend it. Peace. -
DROPPED High Realistic Tundra Moss for AOF (by Aron)
peacefulmoments replied to TechAngel85's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I installed this the other day; it looks great, blends well with the other step/tpc textures & I recommend it. Peace. -
I had this mod in my list for a long time, then I realized quest important npc's went missing when you needed them; then I realized it only effects a handful of npcs, then I realized it was more or less an annoying and pointless addition to the game (IMHO). I Think it may have cause some glitches too like for e.g when you get to whiterun if its the wrong time of day, the blacksmith arguing about swords with that other guy is found arguing all by herself with no one around her, though this may have been caused by a different mod. Peace.

SKYRIMLE Automatic Variants (by Leviathan1753)
peacefulmoments replied to Anosognos's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I've tested this mod several times with all the available AV packs and have had to exclude it from the heavily modded skyrim I run - while it does randomize enemy/creature textures, it also causes CTD's or freeze's at the start of battles. I think it just requires too much from game+pc at this stage, even after running the optimizer & compressing the textures. I have also have a lot of combat mods installed so it may just be too many mods running at the same time (during combat) when this one is included. Peace. -
I recommend this texture replacer - visually it fits in with the games overall look & enhances texture quality without adding any supermodel like appearances that doesn't fit in with the game. It also has an option for just about every body replacer though from my own experience the Nuska UNP navetsea face doesn't match with the UNP Navetsea body textures. How I use this replacer & others to create a balanced variety in the appearance of skyrim characters- 1 Install Better Beast Races 2 Install Cover Khahjiit Male & Female 3 Install XCE + Clean skin patch + Custom body patch 4 Install CBBE + nevernude patch 5 Install Better Beast Races (female khajiit only) 6 Install Cover Khajiit (Female Khajiit only) 7 Install "Basvanbeu MuscleTextureChanger female only LITE with NavetseaSkinset for CBBE or UNP set-6554" (textures only - no esp) 8 Install Ethereal Elven Overhaul+ optional high res textures 9 Install Nuska Real Skin Navetsea version (standard - not freckles optional - freckles version is overkill + doesn't blend with body skin) 10 Install Beauty Faces *Don't use the caliente tools texture blender, i've found it can cause issues and if using the above mods in that sequence there are no visible neck seams anyway.* Â 11 Install XCE (for old people only) then xce no more blocky faces (Male Elves, Male & Female elderly & All Orcs - Only - I'm also looking at the consistant old people mod as an alternative for this step) 12 Install XCE Weathered Warpaint & Improved Dirt 13 Install XCE High Res Scars 14 Install HQ warpaint+dirt for men 15 Install HQ eyebrows 16 Install Realistic Hair 17 Install AOF Believable Hair 18 Install straight hair 1_2-4333-1-2 (darker version - less streaks) 19 Install Light Version-21620-1-1 (beards) 20 Install Beauty Eyes NPC & Player (will replace with natural eyes as recommended in latest step config) 21 Install Ran's eye reflection extender 22 Install Longer Eyelashes. 23 Install Extended slider colours - full/main. The idea is to create different & enhanced/realistic looks for male, female, elderly & different races for more variety and uniqueness whilst maintain a reasonable level of lore-friendly-ness. Peace.
