STEP Extended causes no main menu load on startup
swiftfoxmark2 replied to swiftfoxmark2's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Yet I have an issue with it where the main menu won't show up. And I've deactivated all other mods save the masters to STEP Extended and it still didn't load the main menu. I've tried older versions of the STEP Extended mod and same result. So something is breaking it. -
STEP Extended causes no main menu load on startup
swiftfoxmark2 replied to swiftfoxmark2's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I think the STEP Extended ESP patch needs to be rebuilt since both AOS and Cutting Room Floor were updated after its latest version release. Once that is done, I am sure it will work right. -

Not a CTD on startup. Skyrim loads fine, just no main menu. -
STEP Extended causes no main menu load on startup
swiftfoxmark2 replied to swiftfoxmark2's question in General Skyrim LE Support
It appears that the conflict is definitely one of STEP Extended's masters. I can't verify which one it is since removing any of them from the load order would cause a CTD. -
STEP Extended causes no main menu load on startup
swiftfoxmark2 replied to swiftfoxmark2's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I am wondering if its the latest version of Cutting Room Floor. I'll do some tests tomorrow and see if it works with just its masters in place. If not, then I think it is Cutting Room Floor since that is the only master mod that was updated since the last time STEP Extendeed was updated. -
STEP Extended causes no main menu load on startup
swiftfoxmark2 posted a question in General Skyrim LE Support
So I've got the STEP Extended ESP in my load order and when I have it activated, the main menu doesn't appear when I load Skyrim. I just get the non-spinning emblem and no music. I haven't been able to isolate the conflicting mod just yet, but I wanted to know if this was an issue that anyone else had and with what mod? -
SKYRIMLE T3nd0's Perkus Maximus (by T3nd0)
swiftfoxmark2 replied to hellanios's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yes it is. So long as you use the 1.3+ version of SUM, it will work with the others perfectly. Do not use the Merge option though. -

Looks pretty good overall, but I'm not going to use it until the Civil War Overhaul 4.0 is released. I'd have to start over with a new character in both cases anyway.... EDIT: and I'm an idiot. Just check and Civil War Overhaul is also updated to 4.01 now. -
Yeah, I agree that he adds a lot of unnecessary spells, shouts, and enchantments. But that doesn't mean that they aren't all useless. On top of that, you don't have to use those enchantments, spells, or shouts if you don't find them useful. I hardly much use of most of the stuff in Vanilla Skyrim myself.

No Dragon LODs by ShenziSixaxis https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36059/? In short, this mod fixes the Vanilla dragons (including all DLCs) so that they don't have the LOD texture. This was done for performance reasons by Bethesda but unfortunately you may find yourself fighting a dragon that has a mash potato texture in certain situations (mine was usually when I quicksaved just before the dragon entered the closest cell that loaded the texture). You might get a performance drop, especially on a lower end machine, with this mod. This is because the fix removes the LOD texture and just requires all dragons to use their detailed textures, even at a distance. I doubt, however, that most players will experience any kind of performance loss though. A good check is to see how distant dragons are with another dragon mod like Deadly Dragons. No performance drop means no problems. Lastly, it has ESPs for all DLCs, just Vanilla Skyrim, just Dawnguard, and just Dragonborn, so no need to have multiple ESPs and worry about having a DLC you didn't buy.

ACCEPTED Enhanced Skyrim Factions - Companions Guild (by DreamKing)
swiftfoxmark2 replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'd add that the Requirements-Only version is also highly compatible with most other mods. If you use Moonlight Tales with the enhanced version, for example, you're going to have some conflicts. Also, Cutting Room Floor adds some of the lost Companion quests as well as the option to do "Proving Honor" with Aela and not Farkas. I don't know how those conflict with the Requirements-Only version, but it should be fine. -
SKYRIMLE Altars and Amulets Redone by BigManOnMulberryStreet
swiftfoxmark2 replied to statmonster's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
It looks like this conflicts with Non-Essential Children. At least, there's a script that they both overwrite. -
SKYRIMLE Falskaar Wildlife add-on by Dean Corso
swiftfoxmark2 replied to Ogham's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Looks interesting. I did notice a lack of wildlife on Falskaar during Gopher's playthrough. -

Looks promising. Spell crafting was something that was sorely missed in this game and there aren't many mods that attempted to rectify it.

SKYRIMLE Civil War Overhaul (by Apollodown)
swiftfoxmark2 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
What is funny about this mod is that it adds giants as Stormcloak fighters. Apparently, there was going to be a quest on the Stormcloak side for you to somehow recruit a giant in the original game (which would have been interesting, to say the least). So while ApolloDown wasn't able to recreate that quest, he did create Stormcloak giants as part of some of the Stormcloak patrols. Basically giant shock troops. -
Good mod to go with Achieve That since some of the achievements require you to not gain certain skills until you reach a certain level.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49371/? Skyproc Patcher that adds the ability to enchant staffs with just about any new spell that is added by a mod. Dragonborn is required and you will need to have access to Neloth's staff enchanter station, but you won't be limited to just Vanilla spells anymore.

ACCEPTED Cutting Room Floor (by Arthmoor)
swiftfoxmark2 replied to torminater's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
This mod will conflict with ESF - Companions as it adds in the lost quest for the Companions and Aela will be your shield-sister in some cases for Proving Honor. Both this mod and the ESF - Companions mod do this. However, it looks like if your load order is set with ESF - Companions to sort after this, then it should be fine, as far as I can tell. -
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32339/ SkyProc patcher that creates leveled lists for custom armor and weapon mods, including the DLCs, and also provides a chance for them to spawn with those enchantments you see on vanilla weapons. Support Dawnguards dragonbone weapons and Dragonborn's new armors and weapons. Other enhancement include NPCs that spawn with matching armor sets (bandits will a complete Hide armor set rather than Hide gauntlets and fur boots). It does not cover every armor and weapon mod (you'll have to add the ones that don't) but by default it covers some good ones. I did have some trouble with the patcher when I first used it, but Dienes has some good instructions to go with it, so you should get it to work. This is basically the ASIS of weapons and armor.

I don't know, the alternate to Molag Bal's quest seems like it is lore-breaking. I mean, we are dealing with the Daedric prince of domination, so his quest would involve a situation where he is in total control. I do know that The Choice is Yours provides an alternate for Boethiah already. Just kill everyone at the shrine instead of a follower then tell Boethiah that you're going to Sovengarde or that you server Molag Bal. I did the Sovengarde route, ended up cursed by her and had to find a shrine of Stendarr in order to cure myself. Once done, I got a unique artifact. As for Namira's quest, just coaxing Eola to attack you in the tombs is a way around it. You can also lure the priest to the feast and attack everyone there.

SKYRIMLE Bound Armory - with SkyRe and SPERG Compatility
swiftfoxmark2 posted a topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Bound Armory - with SkyRe and SPERG Compatibility (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/45042/?) This mod basically adds several different bound weapons into the game. It also modifies the related perks to make the weapons stronger over time. It comes with support for SkyRe and SPERG (as noted in the title). One of the things that really bothered me about Skyrim was the lack of options for bound weapons. You had a sword, battleaxe, and bow in the original and a bound dagger (wow!! so needed!!) in Dragonborn. And the perks related to them lacked scaling, so using these weapons meant considerable perk investment in both the Conjuration and related weapon perk trees. Works great for battlemage builds, especially when used in combination with True Bound Daedric Armors (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34269/?). -
From what I can tell about this plugin, it seems to be working fine, so long as you don't overload your game with heavy scripting mods. My experience was that it caused more crashes and freezes when running an ENB with heavy scripting mods. Without the plugin, I managed to get some game loads that wouldn't load before. Basically, it wasn't an infinite loading screen, it was a loading until the memory reaches 3.2 GB then crash, which seemed like an infinite loading screen. Of course, doing that anyway is a really bad idea.

SKYRIMLE NPC Enchantments Fix (by Dienes)
swiftfoxmark2 replied to egocarib's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Right now there is a problem with running this automated patch if you have cleaned the DLC files using TES5Edit. The mod author said he is working on it, so we should hopefully have a fix later on.
