You are right. I will change it, this just seemed like a simple way to fix it given how little time I have had for this lately. I would like to point out that most people that ask for help do look in the forum though, hence this will expectedly help keep the same questions from popping up all the time.

Guide Link There are a few questions that keep resurfacing in the forums, which aren't always easy to address through the guide. Hence I have been thinking about making this FAQ for a while and thought I could at least start with a few of the questions that I can recall of the top of my head. I have them sorted alphabetically for now, but that might change if this grows. Fear & Loathing - Frequently Asked Questions In what order and at what levels do you recommend doing the DLCs? I recommend doing Honest Hearts first -> then Old World Blues (15+) -> then Dead Money (20+) -> then Lonesome Road (25+). That way you get to follow in the footsteps of the recurring characters. They're tough though so no need to do them exactly at those levels. I ran FNVLODGen and now my game launches with a pink screen. What to do? Try disabling and re-enabling Automatic Archive Invalidation in MO's Profiles menu, launching the game in-between the changes. ​​​​​Is Advanced Recon Tech.esp purposely left out of the Advanced Recon Merge? Yes. Advanced Recon Patches.esp replaces Advanced Recon Tech.esp. Should I clean the DLC? No need. YUP deals with all the issues caused by those ITMs. Why does the Prototype Ranger Combat Armor/Defaced Ranger Armor have no legs? (ADAM) Those armors use the ArmorAddon02 slot to equip different pants onto their new meshes through hard-coded scripts, and hence the legs won't equip if you already have something using those slots equipped (like the Flashlight Belt from Flashlight NVSE). Hopefully this will prove useful for someone. More stuff will be added as people keep asking questions, which they definitely should. Discussion in this thread should be about the answers (e.g. if someone disagrees with what order the DLCs should be played in).

I don't mod for Bethesda (or Obsidian - since they made FNV). I mod for the players, and the great communities both here and elsewhere. Nothing Bethesda does can make me stop that. I must admit at being slightly confused by some mod authors removing their mods from other sites and sometimes even other games. Now of course, the mod piracy (to the extent that I know of it) is a very serious issue and I understand the outrage. Yet, why punish the communities that have helped facilitate the interest and development of hundreds of authors? At least, for any authors that may be reading this, consider letting your mods stay up for other Bethesda games, as you will probably find it was the community that you wanted to have them, not the developer/publisher you paid for the game. I am not criticizing anyone's decision, just appealing to you to reconsider. As with Tech, I will be holding my judgement (about the remastered Skyrim edition) until further announcements are made. Might not even be for the PC (and hence not break any mods). -

Project Nevada - WMX.esp is from Project Nevada Patches and WMX-DLCMerged.esp is from Weapon Mods Expanded - WMX. You should have both of those installed if you followed the instructions correctly. If you're missing masters the game will crash on startup. What do you mean more plugins that aren't activated? Are these plugins you haven't installed, or that aren't ticked at the moment? You can tick everything before you make the Bashed Patch and let WB deactivate all it needs to (the reactivate the two nomerge plugins). No need to clean the DLC, YUP handles those ITMs now. NVB2 you should clean, but you cannot clean deleted navmeshes, that is just poorly done by the author and needs to fixed manually. That takes a lot of time though. I speak from experience as I took over development on an abandoned mod which had an abundance of deleted navmeshes. What they do is cause a crash if any other mod tries to move them (or do anything else to them) so you might not experience a problem with them at all. Texture optimization won't hurt your performance. It will most likely improve it slightly. FNVLODGen doesn't have an impact either as far as I'm aware, as all it does is make sure the different additional LOD models are compatible with each other. -

As a Fallout fan, I found it very disappointing. Don't think being a fan of the series made me more inclined to like it. That probably does not matter for how satisfied they were with the release though. Not sure if if TES6 will be much better either, as long as they keep this writing team. Skyrim was not all that strong in terms of story either (IMHO). Oblivion also had a pretty generic main quest, but some intriguing stuff off the beaten path. If you could avoid those bandits in Glass Armor, I mean.

Still holding out for an actual release, beyond just an alpha, so far they just have a lot of money for a lot of promises. Albeit very promising promises, but promises nonetheless. -

If you are using EssArrBee's YPU-WMX-PN-PNEO patch, use this plugin instead. If you are using something else that refers to the weapons I removed from PN, then let me know and I will fix it for you (that is what causes the missing main menu). -

Hi, Shad73. These old games have pretty horrible aliasing. Can you verify that you don't get the aliasing issues without having ENBoost installed (e.g. rename the d3d9.dll to d3d9.dll.bak temporarily) and that ENBs AA features don't help. Feel free to open up a topic in the support subforum. Yes. Keep me reined in. Good idea. -

In that case the only thing I can recommend would be asking Sarge (the author) over at the Nexus page for the mod. Perhaps he has encountered someone with a similar issue. -

I am scavenging my mind for any reason for why this would happen. You have tried reinstalling it, right? Does installing an earlier version make any difference? Is archiveinvalidation activated under MO profile menu and the archiveinvalidation bsa (which MO adds when you tick that option) sorted first in your bsa list? You say present in the load order, does that mean present and unticked as well? -

I will. The Rail Cannon too, it looks like it's made out of plastic. The Gauss Pistol can be replaced by this. Takes a bit of time with Project Nevada though, as they don't use scripts for leveled lists, so I have to remove it from all the different lists before removing the gun so as not to break the plugin. -

That usually happens when a bsa isn't loaded. Have you checked to make sure the Interior Lighting Overhaul - Core.bsa is ticked under the archives tab? -
