Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Smile44 replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
All RLO options that is of 4.07. No interiors from Cot. All is explained on the RLO site they decided to go with CoT rather than develop their own weathers further. Edit: Ok 4.07c is out will need to look at it but same rules seem to apply. RLO just keeps getting better with each update. -

At the moment RLO plus Cot plus a very light touch ENB (still looking for that though dyavision might be a viable alternative). Personally I like colours to be as real life as possible - I know video game is never going to be real life but a happy medium can be achieved by using not too washed out colours nor overly bright in your face colours either. Skyrealism vibrant works well but I want to experiment with other variations. It would be cool to find out what other players may have discovered as far as pre-sets go. :) -

I've tried to pm you about testing but my sent box keeps saying message not sent. I will try again later. The gist is about testing and me being able to etc.. :) -

This instruction only applies to new patches created in TES5Edit not altered esp. files. If you saved without creating a backup then the esp files will be in the right place already. :) -
I shall give them both a try, these mods do look very useful for both immersion and playability, keeping it interesting. :)

Enhanced Skyrim Factions - The Companions Guild also does this to some extent as well make the whole business of becoming Harbinger a lot more involved than just bashing a few heads in. It looks good otherwise and it seems that the ESF team are not doing anymore factions for the time being. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22650 :)

Installing Skyrim Redesigned With Mod ORGANIZER
Smile44 replied to DOHstep2013's question in Mod Organizer Support
The NCC option allows you to use fomods / install scripts. Makes the whole thing easier. There is probably a better way to get SD installed but I haven't found one that isn't a PITA. Anyway the above MM typos explained it all does indeed make more sense. I use Neovalen's recommendations on Skyrim Revisited for that particular mod. :) -

Now we get to see if Steam honors this setting...It seems to have done I'm still running 1.8. That said I switched steam into off-line mode after the update - new something was up. -

No warning messages come up for me should be able to install precisely the ones recommended, though that does mean unticking some of the options in the installer. :) Edit Whoops 2 seconds late on that reponse. -
Installing Skyrim Redesigned With Mod ORGANIZER

Yes and if you read the first paragraph I believe I described a method to do that. What can I say "Skyrim Redesigned" is awkward. -
Installing Skyrim Redesigned With Mod ORGANIZER
Smile44 replied to DOHstep2013's question in Mod Organizer Support
You should try with Mod Organizer, it is similar to use in many ways as NMM but is as powerful as Wrye Bash in many ways. But the trick with mods like Skyrim redesigned (which is a bizarrely packaged mod) would be to download manually then extract all texture files to a new file called Skyrim Redesigned > textures (strangely) on your desktop somewhere. Then when you have all the texture files from the mod in there then Zip the whole thing up as a 7z file. Finally install as a mod normally using the find mod feature on NMM. Soul Gems differ has a Fomod and should install just fine with MO or NMM and there is a 'bain' wizard for WB. Though I wont have gained any kudos here by giving NMM advice as it is generally an unsupported mod manager due to it's very limited functionality. I would seriously advise you to learn MO or WB properly (or even better MO and WB) rather than use NMM, especially if you plan a large mod installation such as STEP. Check out the STEP guides but If you are only planning a few mods then I suppose NMM is fine. :) -

I'm trying it without "No more Blocky Faces". If AIO already has the correct normals then there is no point in it as you say it was voted out before via XCE. -

I've added immersive armors to SR, I'm using RLO and CoT at present for lighting. The shots for most of the pics also have skyrealism ENB vibrant setting which works really well with RLO. Not currently using an ENB in the skin shots but will probably try some out again soon using the ENB manager and changer as soon as I have the time. The skin shots have her wearing Barbarian armor so as to show as much skin as poss without posting nude shots. -

I don't have SRO, I used to but the files got corrupted in parts so I deleted the lot. Then SRO went down - I am not familiar with Torrents I did try to get SRO that way but when all was downloaded there seemed to be errors cropping up when I tried to install them so deleted those and have not bothered about it since. I am using version 2 of SHD and my skyrim looks fine to me, so am I missing out without SRO? Everyone seems to have it as a must have but it does seem to be quite difficult to get hold of, -

I've had problems with skyrim redesigned but alright now, just needed to be re-downloaded and reinstalled. I don't think those are from that mod though, could be SMIM, try re-downloading and reinstalling. Some files don't survive the download process unfortunately. -

Differing opinions are what make the world an interesting place, if it wasn't for that we would never have come down from the trees in the first place - some would contend that it was a bad move on our part. Personally I tend to avoid new software unless I have to learn it, I've used CBBE's blender in the past but haven't looked at the UNP version - you are most likely correct, I'm just lazy. ;) -
I'm currently running SkyRe with "Skyrim Unleashed". I'm only using SkyRe Main, races and survivalist from Skyre, so don't need the reproccer. This seems to work really well. Also added in Duel, and immersive patrols, armors and weapons no issues. This is around an SR set up also removed RND as it clashes with SU. Works well and is much tougher but still very 'lore' friendly. I have got the Dragon combat mod in there as well, but with this difficulty it will be a while before I can grow tough enough to take on major foes, so have yet to see how that fits in. All stats for weapons and armor are at vanilla levels rather than SkyRe, but have all the perk trees etc.. from SkyRe so for me it's the best of both worlds. Worth looking into. :D

Screens as promised. EDIT I don know why but only a few of the images I post ever show up from dropbox. All of them show in the post as I edit but only half after posting. Oh well here is the link to my full skyrim file on dropbox and obviously the pics at the bottom. LINK I'll take some in better light when I get home. -

Fitness body shows as redundant in MO profile hence removal. -

I currently use it and yes fitness body is redundant. I place no more blocky faces after All in one and then Mature skins. The other mods all provide useful files as regards other races and various features not provided by Mature Skins. Dimnonized UNP provides hands textures and meshes including 1st person that are a useful fix. So the only change is to add these two after All in one and remove fitness body. I am currently using a female character and will get around to posting some screenies. I have had no need to use the textures blender because the skins provided by this mod are seamless together no issues at all. -

I'm going to try DCO as it is looking very cool but some of the hardcore mods I am testing are making even getting to a dragon fight a far in the future thing. The mature skin mod installs really easy place it after "all in one" the "no more blocky faces" you will need to do the same thing to the face part for vampires as you do with all in one. It doesn't remove everything from that but I do like the results. The girls actually look as though they can hold their own whilst still being eye candy (of a sort). -

The guide is based on the idea of using MO, and the guide states right at the start of all the modding to say "yes" to always unpack the bsa files when the box comes up - so yes it is strongly suggested to unpack them. "Notice:The first time a mod is installed that contains .bsa file Mod Organizer will ask if you wish to extract it. Respond yes and select to always do this." -

I have a suggestion for female body and face textures 'Mature skin texture and body for UNP'. Looks really good but needs a mod like 'No more Blocky Faces' to get good face normals. Mature as in fully grown woman, rather than teenager. I may make this change to SR adjusting the face textures for vampires. Anyway definitely worth a look. :) -
That is as I hoped - anyway better to be safe than sorry. I didn't think that they were obviously malicious but was worried that there might be a trend towards random ill-informed wiki editing - perhaps a number of posts should be achieved e.g. that needed to become a citizen to then be able to edit. By that time new members may have a chance to become familiar with the site and how the community works. Probably impossible to sort though. Anyway mind put at ease. Thanks.
