My assumption is that scripts and lighting tend to cause persistent low FPS, while sudden drops are often due to loading cells. But I'm sure there's a lot more to it than that. Maybe try reducing shadows or settings like that. IIRC, I got a substantial increase in FPS by reducing the SR recommended iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=4096 iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=4096 down to 2048 with a 4GB GPU. With a 1.5 GB GPU maybe you should try 1048 for both or 2048 for primary and 1024 for secondary? Lowering some of your grass, decals and other Display settings in your ini might help. I think the main STEP wiki pages have some suggestions regarding tweaking these to optimize performance and quality for different GPUs.

I tried this but the changes still show up when I build a Bashed Patch! (I un-ticked it in the lower right corner of WB - maybe there's a better way to do this?) Very annoying!

And these two as well! Interesting. The latter looks like it is incompatible with Convenient Horses, or at least does not carry those changes over to that mod's follower. But I do like follower mods that expand the interaction with followers. Looks like they are planning on making it fully voiced in some future update. -
With grass on steroids you can increase the imingrasssize (to 100 or more) increasing your FPS while still looking more grassy than w/o this mod.

Is anyone using Skyrim Immersive Creatures 6.0.0 RC with this? I do not have SkyRe but do have ASIS, and SIC and have been running into invisible Skeletons (SIC ones, not regular ones - those I can see). Has anyone else had any issues with this? -

Seems sensible. If you can't get 1k textures you might want to consider using DDSOpt to reduce some of the others to 1k, espceilly if your performance is low - start with the HD-DLC (see Neo's instructions) and the stuff in Foundation except WATER. I found that optimizing textures helped a lot.

Some updates to Apachii Sky Har Retextures ( https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35092 ) 1. He has updated his textures for Apachii Female 1.3 pack (version 1.5 now has 12 textures in it). 2. The low contrast version have been updated (now version 1.4). These are better for light colored hair. Probably choose this if you use blond, light red or gray Apachii hair styles. -
It looks like the file Neo was looking at was the 4K version at the top of the downloads page. That is version 0.3 and called caves. As Daniel points out maybe the 2k version would be better.

Very strange I only made these changes in the Skyrim.ini [Grass] bAllowCreateGrass=1 bAllowLoadGrass=0 iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=7 bDrawShaderGrass=1 iMinGrassSize=110 This gives me no FPS loss what so ever (Around 30FPS with my current ENB on.). If I used the iminGrassSize=75 then I would drop down to 10 FPS though. My understanding is that with Grass on Steroids you can increase the iminGrassSize setting which will maintain your FPS but keep you lusher looking grassy areas. Does Grassification allow the same thing? Comparing the screenshots from Dungeon Treasure and Skyrim Coin Replacer, I much prefer the look of the latter. The appearance of the SCR coins is more realistic for the setting.I agree. Is there a mod or an edit where we can replace 'Septim' with 'Gold'? Or vice versa? It seems that some places in the game refer to it as Gold and some places its Septim. Septim is the proper term (according to every other elder scroll game in existance but skyrim).Has anyone noticed the weight function not working correctly with the new coins? -

If I remember right, you can only use one of the three ATAF sword options - which one you use depends on where you store you sword(s) and shield. -

Placing Trade and Barter at the Bottom of Bashed Patches via BUM (so it ended up between Bashed Patch and Automatic Variants) seems to have solved the problem with merchants not get any gold when they re-spawn. With his pure SR build Neo didn't need to do this, but those of us adding other mods that need a Bashed Patch to merge leveled lists might benefit from doing this. In my order at least, I don't think I have other mods it is interfering with by being down there. --- EDIT: It looks like the same effect can be achieved by merely selecting T&B then unclicking Delev in the bottom right corner of Wrye Bash before building the bashed patch. -

Have you looked at using Dungeon Treasure instead of Coin Replacer? There's a note on STEP suggesting using the former. Comments in the latter indicate it can cause issues with the weight functions. Do your edits correct this? -

I'm wondering if using BUM to move T&B down below the Bashed Patch in order might help. (Building my an compatibility patch between T&B and Bashed seems like a lot of work if it has to be rebuilt everytime I run WB to update the Bashed Patch.). I think I'd like to keep using a Bashed Patch for High Evelyn Enemies, ASIS and maybe Skyrim Immersive Creatures (Lore Friendly Version) if I add that. But the way the patch screws up vendor's gold is pretty obnoxious. I think it also used to do ths to Economics of Skyrim too. -

Again? I thought 1.7 was supposed to fix this?! CaBaL just isn't having any luck.Someone else reported it in the comments. I checked and a couple of armors were missing. (Scale and one other.)I can see why he has little tolerance for people sniping at him in the comments section. -

Caution - aMidianBorn Book of Silence - It seems that the default install will install everything on the armor side but that it misses some textures if you use a custom install. Thanks Iroha! -

In Better Vampires, one ofthe unofficial patch changes seems to be unneeded: Expand "Weapon" under Better Vampires.esp and select the "0010C6FB" node. Drag the "Speed" record from Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp to Better Vampires.esp. -
