SSME has been working beautifully for me for about 2-3 hours. I loaded in and out of a bunch of things, fast-travelled etc. and it seems smooth, even in areas that were iffy for me before. :)

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Noobsayer replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Given any thought to including the HD Retexture for Cloaks? :) Did you install both textures and normals from Mature Skin? They're separate downloads. -
I had already done that for the time being since the other one wasn't giving me any notification it was working. :) Thanks!
-
So nobody knows what could be up with my install mentioned here? Should I try SSME instead?
-
Using Neo's version, I am not getting the notification that it's working. Here's what I did: I overwrote the skse_steam_loader.dll in my main skyrim folder with his file.I went into my SKSE.ini and added this:[Memory] Enable=1 MemBlock1=512 MemBlock2=256 I looked in Documents/My Games/Skyrim/SKSE/ and opened the skse_steam_loader log file. This is all it says? So nothing about Sheson's memory patch. I thought I followed the instructions carefully but is there something I'm missing? Gonna redownload and replace again but that's really all I can think of to do now. EDIT: Nope, no go. I use an ENB so I already have d3d9.dll, enbhost/local. I'm also crashing after I run around for a minute or two (I removed Safety Load). New card, GTX 780. Bottlenecked a bit by my CPU/motherboard currently but I have high framerate with minor hitching that I'm trying to sort out. My memory settings in enblocal match my actual VRAM. EDIT EDIT: I also do have stableUgridstoload but left it at the default ugrids.

Yeah, sorry, lol! I made myself pick before looking at others' choices and realized I wasn't helping narrow it down much :B Thanks for taking the time to make all these comparison screenies. :)

Set 1: No.1 shot overall, though I prefer the ash texture in the foreground from No. 4. Set 2: No. 4 wins out overall. I do like the homes from No. 1. Set 3: In general, No. 2, in particular the ash. But the stone floor I prefer from No.1 and 4. Set 4: No. 1. Combo of the ground plus rippled ash just works for me. Set 5: Prefer No. 2 both for ground and architecture. Set 6: No. 1 easily. Prefer the rope, mushroom cap and door by far. Set 7: It's a tossup between Nos. 1 and 4 for me. Set 8: As far as smooth transition goes, I think No. 1 wins. Set 9: Tossup between Nos. 2 and 4. They're very similar in the distance and I prefer that foreground. Set 10: Think I prefer No. 2 on this one. It's not really a strong winner for me though. I like the darker knoll from No. 3 but it tends to clash with the ash-covered rock.

I always fancied the aged look that this retexture gave the shrines over MM's, and just based on screenshot I still prefer some of them. I'll give Ren's a try too though for posterity.

ACCEPTED Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade (by kryptopyr)
Noobsayer replied to statmonster's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Sorry, I've come down with the flu and just haven't had the concentration/drive to open up the CK. Haven't forgotten about the flask thing, just haven't had the energy. -
Hmm, no problem. I'd gone through the whole thread ... must've missed it. QQ. Time to go through again, lol.
-
Ah, OK. I have one more question then. I always browse stability guides (though with a cynical eye ;) ) and this one suggests there should be something in our SKSE log that verifies if the patch is working? Would/does yours give something? And if so, does the log need to be viewed while Skyrim is running? EDIT: That may have come across a little rude, lol. I'm not doubting the quality of your patch so much as wanting to verify I've done it correctly :)
-
Lol I kinda enjoy his choice. So you're saying either variable will work? Awesome.
-
I'm a bit curious about the discrepancy between the SKSE ini changes in SR:LE and the original thread. Is it simply dependent on what version of the memory patch we're using? IE, for SR:LE but from the original thread/other sources
-
LOL no, I didn't mean while it was actually running. I meant, essentially, would it screw with my saves the way removing scripted mods will. Thanks for putting me at ease Â
-
Is there any harm to swapping from Safety Load to this on a running game? IE, will removing Safety Load cause problems? Not really sure how SKSE and Skyrim shake hands.

Yeah, finally got some claws to do compares on and this seems like a marked improvement. -
SKYRIMLE Take Notes - Journal of the Dragonborn (Lord Conti)
Noobsayer replied to Noobsayer's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah, it was definitely one of those ... "Please tell me I can use this" things, hehe. But where I run survival mods I need to be careful what scripted stuff I add :) Thanks for the confirmation! -
SKYRIMLE Take Notes - Journal of the Dragonborn (Lord Conti)
Noobsayer replied to Noobsayer's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Well awesome then. :) Any info on large amounts of entries? I don't actually expect to end up with hundreds of pages but you never know, lol. -

Nexus Link Adds an exportable journal that you can type in while in-game. Can hold up to hundreds of pages apparently. I loaded this up on a test save and it was a lot of fun. I'm a bit concerned (because I don't really understand how it works) of performance impact if you had a lot of entries, or possibly adding to script load (again, I dunno if they only run while you're actively using it or not). -

SKYRIMLE Prometheus Better Female Natural Body (by Prometheus)
Noobsayer replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I posted this in rootsrat's thread in the Skyrim section, but imo for compatibility body texture, True Daughters of Skyrim is a good one. Has Vanilla, UNP, and CBBE versions. Male version in production. EDIT: And I'm not a big fan of the top-heavy look of this replacer, either. Then again, I suspect I'm not the target audience for bigger bewbage. :P -

Noobsayer replied to statmonster's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
That's a fantastic idea! I'm still feeling my way around this patch stuff (though I did a working "test" compatibility patch for RND and a food overhaul) but I will definitely play around with it and see if I can get it to work. I'd certainly love it if it did, cause i love the Bandolier flask models :) Basically, I want to make 100 percent certain it's done correctly if I'm going to be inflicting it on anyone but myself ;) -

Noobsayer replied to statmonster's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Would you object to me releasing a patch for RND, assuming I test it and it works (lol)? The problems ARE minor, but since I'mma be doing patching some stuff for personal use for RND anyways, I figure I might as well. -
Yeah, I think I'm gonna make a patch so RND foods allow vanilla buffs as well. Pair it with this mod and I could do my own "overhaul". EDIT: Unless one exists, and if so, please point me to it! lol EDIT: Am I correct in thinking that we could theoretically share our settings as various "overhauls" as long as people had Dynamic Potions installed? That would be super nifty.
