  1. I'm an idiot. I didn't enable the plugins on the right side in the new profile.... I just wasted my entire afternoon furiously looking for answers to a problem that doesnt exist lol. Even if it's not the answer your looking for, there's something about asking for help that gets the ole brain cells moving. Thanks for your patience and professionalism with my dumb questions!
  2. Greetings folks ヾ(^-^)ノ I've done a lot of reading around here and on reddit, youtube, etc. But I can't find an sufficiently in-depth explanation. Now that I've successfully finished the entire STEP SkyrimSE guide, I want to tinker with it by adding more mods. However, I want to keep my STEP SkyrimSE build as a base and a backup in case I screw something up. I understand the gist of how profiles and instances work, but I cant find what I need to re-do or re-install in the new profile. What exactly needs to be re-done or re-installed when copying a profile? Is it just the tools? Do I need to re-install certain mods in a certain order? Is it just the tools with the ouputs? Should I just start from scratch? Should I not even bother with profiles and go straight to a new instance? Right now I've got 2 identical STEP SkyrimSE profiles, but only the original is fully functional. For example, I was trying to do the white run test. As soon as I spawned in breezehome, I saw that the light effects were not present, and the character naming UI was missing parts, and mostly everything looked visually worse. Meanwhile in my original STEP SkyrimSE build, everything works great. I want to have 2 identical fully functional STEP SkyrimSE builds. 1 for tinkering, and the other as a base/backup. Here's what I have done already: - Went to [profiles] - clicked "Step SkyrimSE" - clicked [copy]; named "STEP SkyrimSE expanded" - copied the modlist.txt and loadorder.txt from the old profile folder and pasted/replaced in the new profile folder. - ran loot. I'm not sure where to go from here. ✿ Thank you for your help ✿
  3. I FIGURED IT OUT! I tried all of your suggestions, but no dice initially. Then I retraced my steps all the way back to the beginning. I undid and uninstalled everything related to xLODGen and ACMOS in the instructions and started from scratch. (In that process, I discovered that I didn't put in the "(TEMP) Cathedral Landscapes - xLODGen" mod. I don't know if that was contributing to the issue, but it was definitely something that needed to be fixed. ) But in my Modding Tools folder (containing MO, ACMOS, xEdit, etc), somehow for some reason I had a copy of the "texconv" file with another copy of texconv.exe inside. I have no idea how that happened. Anyways, I deleted the extra texconv, and voila. ACMOS RG worked like a charm! Thank you for your help guys!
  4. Mmm. I went back and regenerated the LOD. Then I tried ACMOS again, but the same error persists. My xLODGen output folder path is as follows: "C:\Modding\ModdingTools\xLODGen\xLODGen_output" (It contains a Meshes folder and a texture folder) I definitely selected that as PATH to LOD in ACMOS. When you run xLODGenx64, are the empty mods supposed to be enabled or disabled?
  5. I see. Well currently my "xLODGEN_output" folder is empty. I take it there is supposed to be something in there. I will go back up the guide and look for something about filling that folder. Also, just for the hell of it, I tried it again and it wouldn't even start. It just said "invalid path to LOD, please set the LOD first!" even though I did not do anything different. It's kind of confusing because the guide says: "For Path to LOD, browse to the xLODGen output folder (e.g. ..Modding/GameName/Tools/xLODGen/xLODGen_Output)" But it doesn't say what to do with the Output Path. Anyways, I'll go back and review and I'll report what I find.
  6. Greetings Step Team, thank you for the incredible guide. I've made it to to Step 5 and the Paint Roads portion. I'm running ACMOS and an error pops up almost immediately and ACMOS stops on that specific item. If I click ok, ACMOS continue and process 1 or 2 items, then this will pop up again, and it goes on like this indefinitely. I gave up and exited ACMOS while it was running. Should I be seeing this error? Does anyone know what is causing it? This is my first time doing heavy modding, and my first time using step. I dont understand most of what I have been doing, I've just been clicking on this and typing that as the guide instructs. The sections concerning post processing, Dyndolod, and ACMOS have been the most difficult so far. I was not confident during this section of the guide, so I am not surprised I got something wrong. I've run into several hangups along the way, which I've been able to figure out except this one. Thank you for your help.
