  1. Sorry, will do next time. I just saw it this morning from work and wanted to make sure it was noted. I don't much chance to play till the weekends with my job. But I will make sure to hold off until I test it more extensively next time. :D
  2. This mod is a retexture of the Nightingale bow, looks pretty good. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=14396 I saw this on Nexus this morning and thought it was in line with STEP.
  3. From my reading of it, it only affects it if you use the optional files which includes marking the followers as essential. I have not tested this however, I plan to give it a run this weekend when I have more time to mess with things...I miss college :(, so much more free time.
  4. ??? - seriously? I swore I just updated them before installing Skyrim because I heard there was increased performance...god I feel dumb. Also, I went to bed right after I posted so I will have to get you that info tonight. Thank you for looking though!
  5. I couldn't make it do it tonight but here are 3 screenshots I took. Thank you guys for all your hard work, its hard to imagine playing something that didn't look this good before. If you think I should tone it down based on what you see I will however. https://img194.imageshack.us/img194/5374/screenshotkv.jpg - Outside just after startup https://img708.imageshack.us/img708/534/screenshot2qe.jpg - Outside https://img832.imageshack.us/img832/1290/screenshot3oy.jpg - Inside If I can make it to it tomorrow after work I will try. I tried a new lighting config and haven't seen the issue since. Though I haven't gotten to play a ton.
  6. I don't really have any other stressful games and I have been running the temp monitor on the cards after I first installed STEP, 1 card runs a bit hot around 90 degrees, but it doesn't seem to coincide with the errors I was seeing. I will try to nail it down a bit further tonight.
  7. Ok, I will try to find area's but it doesn't occur in the same spot ever. I usually run into 1 spot per night so I will try it.
  8. 2x nVidea GTX470's in SLI...I upgraded the drivers about a week ago.
  9. Well, god didn't want me to play last night. I literally sat down in front of my computer to turn it on to play and the power went out...and stayed out all night. So we will try loading it in tonight and we will see what funky things happen. I will defiantly keep some old saves to revert to though.
  10. I love my fluffy kitty. I played the longest time without a follower, but honestly they make me laugh and enjoy the game with just 1. I don't want an army but 1 is fun :)
  11. Damn...looks really good but I used Deadly Dragon's. Any idea of what the conflict is? I will give it a try tonight.
  12. So most everything is running stable and much smoother after installing some medium range texture packs. The only real problem I have seems to occur for no reason...my best guess is a RCRN but I am not sure so I was wondering if anyone else has run into the same thing. When I look in certain directions in some area's (area's don't seem to repeat) the textures go all funky and I get these triangles all over like the textures can't figure out the angles or something. If I look away from whatever the spot is by either running through the area or staring at the sky as I run forward I can pass through it but if I look back to the same spot it comes back. My system lags down when I first look into this area as well. Has anyone seen or heard of this before? I can't post screen shots from work but if I run into it tonight I will take some and post it. Thanks.
  13. Thanks. Thanks to everyone, I was able to have some fun relaxing time this weekend!
  14. Where is the option for choose SGSSAA over SMAA in nVidia Inspector? I am a bit daft and can't find it.
  15. Is there any easy way to figure out what uses SD? I have no clue how to do this. :-/
  16. TESV.exe brings me to the launcher...then I launch the game, but my pc just thinks for a second and then doesn't do anything. Ok so I followed frihyland's advice and it looks like I can launch the game now. I followed STEP and didn't do much else, do I need to do anything in that directory other than the main SKSE and Script Dragon updates? Does this affect my WyreBash install? Do my Pref.ini stay in place or does STEAM overwrite those? Ok, so I installed script dragon and the newest version of SKSE and it does not load now. Ok after trial and error it looks list script dragon is not allowing the game to load. Any idea's? So Bealdwine am I out of luck till get updates for something? I am patched to 1.5.26.0
  17. Will do, but how do you make a backup for future reference?
  18. Ok so the thing that I was afraid of happened. I ****ed my game up some how. I have not played all week, these are the things I did this morning before I tried to play. I changed my shadows in the Pref.ini file. I downloaded and installed both Imaginator and the Complete Crafting Overhaul and installed both. I tried to run the game but was told SKSE was out of date. I downloaded the newest version and installed that. I then noticed that I hadn't deleted the older version, so I just deleted everything that had SKSE in the front of the file name. I then reput the SKSE files back into the Skyrim directory. I tried running the game but it would just open the small DOS screen nothing would be written in it. And Skyrim wouldn't load. I then deleted the SKSE file in data...that I saw had an issue when SKSE wrote in the read me. Now it still won't load and I went and reconfirmed Skyrim with Steam and Steam said it was fine. I really really just want to play. I worked hard all week and this was suppose to be my reward to myself :( :wallbash: Please help! I have tried unloading all of the mods and also deleting all the SKSE files and I still can't load even directly from STEAM.
  19. I believe it created a junction. It is called Steam Mover. I am not sure though, the program I used did it all for me.
  20. I will try that. Thanks for the info.
  21. I will do so when I get a chance this weekend or later this week. Each card has 1280MB VRam on it. Some of the compilers advice was already done in the .INI when I opened it, I figured his was out of date. I changed what he suggested though. The only additions were the ones I spoke of before posted by Mandread. What would you expect out of a system I describe though? I am just wondering if I screwed something up with the mods, or would that present itself in different ways?
  22. Hi guy, So I believe I have now successfully installed STEP...and my GOD it looks gorgeous. I started the game up without any mods running just so I would understand the differences and holy cow. When it got to actually running around though I have a lot of studdering when I look at certain sections and do certain things. Right now I am running 2 nVidea GTX 470's in SLI with 6 Gigs of Ram and a Intel Quad Core 2.6 Gz with a 120G SSD at 4 AA and the performance settings shown on the thread Good Performance Handling and Mandread's set up. I see between 20-30 FPS in the cities (with no beautiful city mods) and about 30-40 fps in the world. I think I could handle this but I keep getting these lag intervals where the FPS drops to 3 to 5 when I see things. Some of the textures seem to blink on and off very quickly and oddly when this happens, not sure if I lag because of these or the lag causes these. I am running the default step, I have only also included Deadly Dragons and RCRN instead of the 2 lighting mods in step in STEP 2 section 4. Do I just have my settings too high? What would you expect for FPS on a rig like mine or what do you get on yours? Any help would be appreciated.
  23. How hard on the system is it? I was worried that I would get into an area and because of the heavy textures from STEP my system wouldn't be able to handle it.
  24. I am doing the same sir! 6am - 5pm is enough for me >_< time to try to make it work and if not play some SC2!
  25. I am running 2 GeForce GTX 470 (Fermi) 1280MB, Quad Core system with 6 Gig of DDR3 ram. What would you guys expect as far as frame rates if I have followed step? I also tried tweaking my settings to follow what was shown by mardread. I get about 40 in the open world and 25-30 in cities.
