Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
Nearox replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Sheson, do you know if the mod Moon and Star would be compatible? It is not in the list on the Nexus. -

Thank you! Please feel free to have a look at https://wiki.step-project.com/Pack:Expansion_for_SRLE It is still in a very early version. I am only adding things for which I am sure that there is great compatibility, and I check every new potential addition with every mod in SRLE. Just saying that progress will be slow, but hopefully steady :) If you have any suggestions/improvements/criticism feel free to voice it in this thread at any time. I'll make a new thread for the new pack once it has seen a bit more development. -

# 1 & 2 & 3: - I am personally not a big fan of mixing up various author's styles... The game is just going to look too inconsistent in many areas, in my opinion. - I generally prefer JKs over ETaC, although ETaC has better compatiblity with some other mods. - Dawn of Skyrim has a compatiblity problem with Holidays, according to author (haven't personally tested this): - Athrmoor's Town mods don't really do enough to change the smallness of some of the towns... #6 Well that might be true, but as I recall CJ also made a ton of improvements and fixes to Nernie's... Personally I'd only trust the REGS version to function properly. Either way, I'm beginning to make a pack page for it. I am going to build it from the ground up, starting with the more comprehensive and easier compatible mods (such as Interesting NPCs, new worldspaces) first. By the end of the month more should be clear about the mods to be used for vanilla cities. My focus is going to be on maximum compatibility with SRLE, as that is the only setup I use. I'll share the link with you guys soon once I have made a decent start, so you can comment and give some tips, they are veyr welcome as always :) -

Hi, when configuring integrations and selecting detect integrations, it finds the following for papyrus flag path: C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\scripts\source\TESV_Papyrus_Flags.flg However that file is non-existent on my system. Is this a problem and if so where can I get the file? -

Both would be serious candidates for inclusion, especially considering the beautiful voice acting. Judging from videos seem to be very complete mods, but have to play with them first. I'll also be adding Summerset Isle. I just saw on reddit that JK's lite is set to be released on the 31st of October. I am going to try to get my SRLE-REGS spinoff guide finished as far as possible until said release. The author of JK Lite told me that compatibility with Immersive Citizens will be built-in, as he is avoiding editing vanilla navmeshes. Let's see what the end result will be, but there is hope! -

Thank you for the link. I almost gave up on the pack after discovering all the changes necessary just for Immersive Citizens. Currently I am putting the focus on NPC mods and new quest mods (like Helgen Reborn) compatibility, moving on to JKs after that author is done. Supposedly he already finished Whiterun and a few others so there is hope! -

Hmm I haven't tried SLO yet, guess I should do that soon! Already with EL it felt like such an improvement over the vanilla world. If the visuals are anything like EL but better performance than I will probably go for SLO as well. Edit: By the way don't forget that EL uses DynDOLOD's new compatibility patch system introduced in 1.45. The author of EL included compatibility for the SRLE mods CRF, PCS and BFT (as well as others such as ETaC and JK's). -

Neo, have you had a look yet at Enhanced Landscapes? It's a mod dependent upon DynDoLOD, adding hundreds if not thousands of objects into the world. Really makes Skyrim look much more rich and varied in my opinion, and complements my SRLE setup well. -

Even if some parts of JKs and ETaC are currently compatible with IS-AO, they probably won't be in the future. IS-AO is not finished at all (see the section "Modifications Overview" on the nexus page") and when Shrah does the other cities and towns then they will not work with JK/ETaC either. Currently only whiterun and riverwood are fully completed, which is why they are incompatible but the others are currently not. IS-AO is totally awesome, but really problematic in this regard... -
It seems I am no longer able to just 'edit' a pack. Only the option 'edit with form' is available, but I don't want to use the form... EDIT: It seems that the option does appear in the menu for some of my packs (e.g.: Guide to run REGS with SRLE on Medium Systems), but for other packs that I worked on the option to edit does not appear from the 'page tools' menu. Also after creating a new pack the option doesn't appear.

I just finished re-installing SRLE again. I'm going to have a look at REGS -SRLE implementation, but it is now significantly more difficult due to Immersive Citizens. Kinda sad to see the pack not able to function due to the release of a single mod, but that's just a way it is with skyrim modding. I also have a few ideas to do things differently, am also considering to make a new pack based on REGS but catered specifically for SRLE. It would probably means less mods in total, but better functioning combination overall. Would really like a version of JK's Skyrim that is overall less taxing and that can handle the combination of Vividian ENB/texture mods. But yeah, I cannot promise anything other apart from that I will try to make a setup work on my own system and might find the time to publish it. I'm a much more busier man nowadays than a year ago :( -

I'll try that suggestion about .net, thank you. @Neo: With regards to Immersive Patrols, you mention to download "DLC Main Aggressive)" however there is no such download. There are 2 similar options: 1. DLC Aggresive IPC 2.0.3 2. DLC Main Unaggresive IP 2.0.3 Which of the two is it? -

Thanks ;) I know there are some major issues atm regarding REGS-SRLE (and perhaps also STEP) combination, particularly concerning Immersive Citizens. I first need to get SRLE up and running again, then I can check REGS. Will take me some time, I'm still super busy. -

Finally came back to modding after all this time. ANyways, I have a question about the new section concerning Windows SDK... In the guide it says: However, this option is not presented anywhere. The option screen of the Windows SDK for Windows 7 looks like this: and Am I using the wrong download? I have Win7 x64. The one I found when googling is this one: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=8279 -

SKYRIMLE Guide to run SRLE + REGS + ENB on Medium Systems
Nearox replied to Nearox's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Well for one, those errors aren't related to this guide as it makes no changes to ESPs... Looking at the log I cannot judge the cause of these. Can you go to one of the erroneous FormIDs in TES5edit and make a screenshot of the right window panel? The one that compares the ESPs for the same FormID. -

That was written before Real Shelter was included in SRLE, I honestly don't know as I have never used the mod. Not sure how Real Shelter technically works, but my guess is it won't affect mod-added buildings at all. I'd still re-run the patcher though. -

Great pack idea Phazer, I expected someone to inevitably take this up :) Btw why not use the ToC format instead of tables? I can tell from experience, it can save you a lot of time as you won't need to make new mod pages etc. Plus, some of the other step wiki pages are currently being converted to ToC as well. It's also easier to navigate a ToC page and to add more detailed information (something which you'll probably need to do with Perma/Pama + SRLE/REGS.
