SRLE Extended

Recommended Posts

I know you pulled it but I just wanted to let you know I figured out the problem with Bijin.  The customizer doesn't add all of the files, either due to it being incomplete or due to a problem with the installer.  Delphine, for instance, is missing femalehead-aged.dds and all the Bijin NPCs are missing their respective folders, with "Bijin NPCs" being the only folder in the textures folder.  Once I added the individual folders and the appropriate contents everything looks great.  Hulda, for instance, now perfectly matches, as does Delphine.  Even some that didn't seem to have a noticeable problem, such as Carlotta, now look much better.  I had created my own custom folder, using Pride of Valhalla instead of just mature, but based it off of the customizer contents.  Once I went through and compared it to the original Bijin folders I figured it out.  Also, when I compared the nifs in the customizer to the sizes of UNPB and TBBP (Customizer installed vs customizer packaged) they didn't match so I'm not sure the fomod is installing the right meshes either.  I pulled them out into their own folder so that helped as well.  I still had the mismatch until I added the missing textures, however.

Anyway, I know you pulled it but thought you and anyone else who's still using Bijin might like to know.

thanks for the Info cstarkey42 i had a feel there was an issue with the customizer (and ia appears ClearanceClarence is aware of this issue so mabe for now is best to loose the customizer)

also Bijin for seraphim at least may be back the mod author has fixed the null errors I found in the warmaidians plugin I will be testing out a brand new merge today.

Edit cstarkey42 it might be worth sending a message to ClearanceClarence and tell him what you have discovered.

for those of you using my old merged esp delete them as there is a fundmental flaw with them. I recommend you use Bijin All in One-2016 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72626/?

Darth,

Could you keep an option, with instructions, on your guide under "NPC Retextures" for the ones who have the 3 Bijin mods.

It seems that Bijin All in One 2016 would provide the fixes and the merge. So you don't have to provide the merge yourself.

The option under "NPC Retextures" for Bijin, would be to keep compatibility with the other mods in that section that you might add.

I believe this would be very helpful for many that have the original Bijin mods without having to remove Bijin from the guide.

Hope that wouldn't cause too much trouble in your end.

I could however you would have to deal with your own conflict resolution between ESF companions and ICW as well as making sure Bijin's Records are forwarded into your own CR which would load after SRLE Extended CR.

Hi Neo,

I have the feeling that the reason you decided against it was that there are a few towns/villages/settlements that you can travel to but not from.

I know that this was the deal-breaker for me when I was using this mod. Also, funny enough, there is no carriage from Winterhold which again would make you stuck there if are not into using the map's fast travel or you are over-encumbered. From Nexus posts I can see that the author is considering of adding some further carriage options (travel from) but I have no clue when this will happen.

Overall is a far lighter and less-problematic mod than BFT. Not that I had that much of problems using BFT but its original author have stopped supporting it and the new guy that took over is not that involved for the time being.

On the other hand, "Complete Fast Travel" is not that much of a viable alternative for solely the reasons that you want to switch to it; meaning compatibility with Arthmooor's Towns. Because, IIRC, for most of his towns this mod does not have a "travel from" carriage system which effectively is the same as disabling these locations on the existing BFT MCM menu!

So, I have good news and I have bad news.

First, the good news: I was able to conflict resolve everything without too much hassle.

Now, the bad news: The carriages from BFT clip like hell since Arthmoor added buildings and other things where the carriages go.  In Darkwater Crossing, it was clipping into the porch / side of a building. In Kynesgrove, it was inside a dirt mound. In Shors Stone it was inside stairs going up to a building. The only location that actually looked proper was Ivarstead. Now, to move the carriages may not be that big of a deal for someone who knows how to do that sort of thing in the CK and regenerate navmeshes... but that is not me.

Yeah, one way travel is not something I personally like in my game. I've never had issues with BFT (other than compatibility) and it seems light enough to me. We should see if a CK guru around here can create a patch.

Thanks afonik but I think that 1 esp for just having a winterhold carriage is a bit too much.

Besides I am still using and enjoying BFT...no noticeable bugs for me.

The only issue is the clipping with Arthmoor's Towns/Villages but I am trying to work on a patch for that.

It is just that I need to learn a lot "navmeshing" things in CK and veryyyy little time to spare!!

Ordinator uncapper seems pretty balanced and i like it so far, but u have to grind a bit before killing a Dragon.

Btw ty for the tip to drop Skyrim Flora Overhaul in your guide - it was causing stuttering for me and after i uninstalled i have 55-60 fps even with the default Vividian ENB settings. I'm not using everything from your Extended guideline but i think u did a great job there - I like how u rly extend the SRLE-Experience.

I am testing enhanced mighty dragon for inclusion into the guide and sewrious unestimated how tough they would be it does you need to be level 10 or 15 before the first dragon.

Hey Darth and Lexy.  I stopped using AGO because it conflicts with a couple perks in Ordinator but I see the latest CR has it as a master.  Can you save me some time and let me know what records they are so I can remove them?  Thanks.

AGO remove the whole Game setting group. - (actually look at this in TES5Edit now and it appears thsi is'nt neededa ta all so i'll remove it all together amd issue a whole new CR.)

Ordinator you can remove the whole Perk Group from the CR.

I didn't know it conflcited with Ordinator perks I will get lexy to take a look.

EDIT I have updated the CR to not included AGO as it wasn't needed thanks to cstarkey42 for pointing this out.
