SRLE Extended

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any issues sparring with the companions?  First, I don't have any options to train with any companions but I'm guessing that's been replaced by sparring?  I'm not really sure if that's what's going on or if I have some other issue I'm unaware of.  Second, when I do spar as soon as I get a hit in they tell me I'm not supposed to use magic and the fight is done.  I've turned off WAA and Vigor and even stripped all of my armor off and use an unenchanted weapon but I still get the message.  Is anyone successfully sparring with them or , better yet, getting the training option?

Thanks.

edit:  Ok, I figured out you can turn of the no magic option in the mcm.  However, they completely kick my ass so I guess I'll give up on that.  Eveything I can find, however, makes it sound like I should have the training options though.  All I can find on the ESF page is that they have training "schedules".  Isn't this when they're out in the training yard?  That's when I'm trying to talk to them and I have a lot of dialogue options but none related to training.

Wyrmstooth was removed because the author pulled it from the Nexus. You're welcome to use it in your own builds.

I know Wyrmstooth was removed from nexus and the SRLE guides, I'm just suggesting that you add the mod into SRLE Extended with all of its patches because it was needed by SR Conflict Resolution. I WOULD do my own conflict resolution esp, but I'm afraid that there will be some indirect conflicts that I'll never be able to resolve.

I don't think I ever noticed before, you guys don't use Brawl Bugs?  The MCM option for the Companions will fix training with them, but as far as I'm aware there will still be issues with any attempted fist fight or brawl in the game due to cloak spells?  I'm sure Neo/Darth have a solution for this, I just don't know what it is.

And I'm sure mr. ZombieSlayer you can see the issues with keeping a mod in the guide that users aren't able to access, yes?  It's difficult to have Wyrmstooth and patches in the guide when Wyrmstooth isn't available anymore.

Enhanced Blood Textures and a few other mods already include brawl bugs fix.

Ah yes.  I knew that.  When I stopped using the plugin from EBT I had to use it.  I suppose our friend cstarkey then has likely decided not to use EBT, or is also only using it's textures.

Thanks.  I'm only using EBT textures but I am using brawl bugs as well as the "cheat" which is supposed to fix some of the additional problems that can occur.  Despite this, I still need to disable vigor and waa before every brawl.  This still didn't help out my problems with the companions though.  ESF has a fix in the mcm which did the trick.  My problem is still getting them to offer training, however.  I've done the circle after the first quest with farkas but I'm not sure if I'm actually a companion yet (Zora swears I am) or if I'm hitting them up during their scheduled training hours.  After playing the "how many mods can I play with before my game explodes game" for all this time I'm discovering how little I know about the game and the mods that I've been "using" for ages now now that my game is actually stable.  It's such a weird feeling not having my game go to hell on me already.  I'm level 28, which is the highest I've ever been, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around training in general, as well as the companions specifically.

I'm fairly certain there are options in the MCM for at which stage in the questline companions will offer training?

I'd also suggest that you probably have an issue with your Brawl Bugs patch - you should not have to disable mods in order to brawl.  I'm not sure that it's even a good idea to disable and re-enable mods in a playthrough, and you should probably sort that out if you don't want your game to explode as you seem to have had troubles with in the past.... ?

You can disable them via the mcm without removing the mod so it's not dangerous.  With Vigor active they stop fighting after a couple punches.  With WAA active my punches are very slow since I have the speedfix active via WAA.  None of that is my problem though, I was just curious if others had any issues with companions offering training or if I'm misunderstanding the game mechanic.  I'm sure it's probably just the later and they'll offer it once I figure out the stage and time to ask.

I belive I have the MCM set so once you become a member of the companions ie collected the fragment of wuuthrad they should offer training i need to double check this. I currently have the speed fix set in the disparity mcm menu again I might need to change this.

If your punches are super slow when using the WAA speedfix, you probably shouldn't be using it.  I'd guess you're using Disparity also, which includes the speedfix.  With Vigor, they completely stop fighting?  Or just run out of stamina?

Again, if you are using Brawl Bugs and a regular brawl - not with the Companions, where you have the magic fix from ESF companions for them - is making people attack you, then your Brawl Bugs is not working.  This is likely the case if you had to use the magic fix from ESF Companions in order to spar with them.

*my point is that those other things ARE problems, whereas likely your issue with the Companions and training, is not.

*I'm also still fairly certain there are options in the ESF MCM for when they will offer training.
