Mod load order and mods made obsolete by skyrim unofficial patch

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi, I tried following the step guide, and had to reinstall/modify a few mods while trouble shooting.

This left me with different order in the mod organizer panels than the step guide, should I reorder the left panel manually? Is the Loot ordering in the right panel enough? I'm using external 0.6 newest loot, not the one included in mod organizer, as the guide says. Can I ignore any warnings from mod organizer mod reorder if I'm following the step recommended order?

Also, "distant decal fix" seems to be made obsolete by skyrim unofficial patch, as per this: https://www.afkmods.com/index.php?/topic/3636-mods-made-obsolete-by-unofficial-patches/

Should I just remove the mod?

Yes, reorder the left panel by hand back to STEP suggested order. Provided you've added the suggested Meta-rules, the LOOT order should be fine, yes.

And yes ignore what MO says. STEP's tested their suggested order and all checks fine.

As for Distant Decal Fix, it's not fully obsolete. There's still some files not over written by the USKP. I always leave Distant Decal Fix in, but put it right at the top of the load order so the patch does overwrite what it should.
