This error occured after i cleaned the 'Update.esm' incorrectly and reverted back to the 'Update.esm' i had backed up from the prestine Skyrim backup.Mod Organiser was parse the esp file and states it is an invalid file type, Loot crashes everytime it tries to sort it and TES5Edit also states it is an invalid file type.

Hmm.. you may have to verify integrity of cache with Steam. Right click on the game in your library and select properties, then go to the local files tab. It will redownload all the ESMs though and any vanilla files you may have deleted. As long as you didn't delete any BSAs it shouldn't be more than 40-50 MBs. From there you can reclean anything that may need to be redone.

Thank you, it seems that i was using a old version of the 'Update.esm'.
