shadow1 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 Hi just a quicky: For SFO, there is a 'LOD Basic Edition' in SFO updates section.Should we install this?Should it replace 'recolored pines and LODS'? <Edit>Sorry, another one: XCE Dawngaurd, install the optional?
TechAngel85 Posted July 14, 2014 Author Posted July 14, 2014 Use the recolored pines for LOD. They've been recolor and optimized by the STEP Team to better match the snow used in STEP and be less performance heavy. No for the XCE optional.
AedanValu Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I'm a bit confused about how to handle Better Shaped Weapons with Dual Sheath Redux... Do I have BSW unchecked when running the DSR patch and then enable, or so I sort it after, or what exactly? I felt instructions could be expanded upon regarding this.Relevant pages for reference:https://wiki.step-project.com/Better_Shaped_Weaponshttps://wiki.step-project.com/Dual_Sheath_ReduxCheers

However, BSW should be loaded AFTER Dual Sheath Redux in the left pane of MO so its meshes are used.
Spock Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Edit: Just checked the BWS.esp, seems it's soley there for the BSA. Those samples are covered by AOS as loose files and thus should get completely overwritten anyway.Just checked again. I have to correct myself, the BWS sounds for axes and 1 handed are not covered by AOS. Those samples are superior to the vanilla samples. After some brief testing with my sword, it does make whooshy swing sounds if swung like in the game. It sounds slightly higher pitched though but the sword is probably also lighter then what is seen ingame.
deadbody Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I just noticed that for me, LOOT automatically loads Weapons & Armor Fixes_Remade after Improved Closefaced Helmets_Legendary.esp. I can't remember putting a meta rule in there by hand, but apparently there was one. Maybe someone could check, because that would mean WAF would override all the changes made from ICH, I just checked in TES5Edit. And even if it was just oblivious me, adding a meta rule by hand, it should at least be mentioned on the WAF wiki site how load order has to look I think. Cheers
EssArrBee Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 I haven't seen that issue yet, LOOT had always put ICH after WAF. If you have issues like that, then just add a rule for yourself so LOOT behaves.

bern43 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Saw that the cleaning instructions were changed for the DLCs to select update.esm as an implicit dependency. Do we need to re-clean with the new instructions?
DoubleYou Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Don't think so, as when I cleaned them the previous way, it had the same number of ITMs/UDRs. I just did it that way for consistency with the official documentation. Of course, you could re-clean them for peace of mind.
theblackman Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Saw that the cleaning instructions were changed for the DLCs to select update.esm as an implicit dependency. Do we need to re-clean with the new instructions?Actually, it specifies Skyrim.esm too: Check Skyrim.esm, Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm, and click OKNeovalen's legendary guide says to just clean each .esm by itself.
DoubleYou Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Skyrim.esm will automatically be selected because it is an explicit dependency. Yes, you must clean each DLC by itself.
rothbardian Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Hi, any general ETA on when the next version of STEP will be released?
