EssArrBee Posted August 14, 2013 Posted August 14, 2013 Since there is no permanent Humble Bundle Thread, I'm going to start one since the current sale is pretty insane. And then we can just have a place to post new sales that we notice and want to share instead of creating new threads for every sale that is worthy. It's called the Humble Origin Bundle, and of course that means a bunch of EA games. I know EA isn't the favorite publisher for gamers so you should really get in on this sale since all the money goes to charity. SUCK IT RICCITIELLO!!! Anyways, all the games are on Origin, but there is a choice for Steam keys on some of the games if you pay more than a dollar. The sale includes:    Dead Space (Origin & Steam)    Dead Space 3 (Origin only)    Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box (Origin & Steam)    Crysis 2: Maximum Edition (Origin & Steam)    Mirror's Edge (Origin & Steam)    Medal of Honor (Origin & Steam) Pay more than the average (less than $5 US at time of writing this) and also get:    Battlefield 3 (Origin only)    The Sims 3 + Starter Pack (Origin only, Win/Mac) I can't stand Origin, but for this price I can put up with it and I'd recommend anyone else do the same. Also, the Humble weekly sale is interesting for those of you that like indie titles.
WilliamImm Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 My financial standings were really not that good, so I only payed 6 dollars. Still, that was enough for me to get everything, what, like $200 worth? Mirror's Edge is a nice game, not sure about the others. I did already get Battlefield 3 though earlier... so, I need to find someone who would like to have a copy of that game.
phazer11 Posted August 15, 2013 Posted August 15, 2013 I'll probably get everything up to Battlefield 3 and the Sims (hate the SIMs) I don't have it but I need to pick and save at the moment. Thanks for the heads up though always wanted to try Mirror's Edge (well more than the week my friend let me borrow it on what was it PS2 or PS3?)
EssArrBee Posted August 15, 2013 Author Posted August 15, 2013 Mirror's Edge is quite a nice title and has it's problems, but that is expected with a game that took some risks. Original Dead Space was good, Burnout Paradise is awesome, and Crysis 2 is the only Crysis I'd recommend. I like BF3 when I'm in a realistic modern shooter mood.
EssArrBee Posted July 8, 2014 Author Posted July 8, 2014 Gonna necro this thread because the new Humble Bundle is something people should know about. This is the 2K version with some decent games. Bioshock, The Bureau, Darkness 2 - Pay what you want.Bioshock 2, Mafia 2, Spec Ops: The Line, and more coming soon - Pay more than the average ($6.38 at time of this post)XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Bioshock Infinite - Pay $20 or more. I actually own all these games on one platform or another. My recommendation is that if don't own XCOM and Bioshock Infinite then cough up the $20 bucks because that is a great price, plus you get the original Bioshock and Spec Ops: The Line.
phazer11 Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Dang it. I'm going to have to do the $20+ one >v< I never finished the first Bioshock game and didn't want to pony up for either it or XCOM in the summer sale. I'll have to wait till near the end of the sale though.
EssArrBee Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 Bioshock 1 and Infinite + XCOM + Spec Ops is worth way more than $20. The Bureau is not good and I can't speak about Mafia 2 and the Darkness 2, but the others are well worth the price.
Ganda Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 ohhh, I that actually seems nice... When the "more to come" eventually arrive, we would own them right? If we paid their average right now.
EssArrBee Posted July 9, 2014 Author Posted July 9, 2014 ohhh, I that actually seems nice... When the "more to come" eventually arrive, we would own them right? If we paid their average right now.You are correct. The additions are retroactive, so buy now before the average increases. When I made the original post it was $6.38 and now it's $7.11. Hurry!!!
Ganda Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Oh no no, I'm going to get the 20$ one, bioshocks and XCOM for that price? Oh yes, please :p And I honestly never noticed they made these bundles, I usually buy from their store :o And btw, on the other (?) bundle page, there's 3 games for 1$ (the minimum price for steam) and I highly recommend getting 140, it's a beautiful game :p The others I'm not sure how good they are, but the 1$ is definitely worth it :D

The $20 dollar bundle is worth it if you don't own those two game, or pay the average if you do so that all the other games kick in. I just paid $25 because I'm a sucker for the Red Cross or Child's Play (the charity they usually use). I wish more products were available in the humble bundle way, I'd gladly pay for stuff that went to producer, seller, and charity. I'm all for sharing.
EssArrBee Posted July 23, 2014 Author Posted July 23, 2014 Square Enix bundle is now ongoing. I like this trend of big publishers doing bundles.
phazer11 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 I spent $25 on the 2k bundle just the other day and need to replace two of my HDDs. Humble Bundle why you no like?
Ganda Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Not sure if you've guys seen it, but the new indie bundle is amazaballs! From the bundle I personally recommend Gunpoint, Papers Please (who doesn't like this one), Luftrausers and Prison Architect (which is almost 4x the price in steam and even though it's still an early alpha it's more complete that some games)
CJ2311 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 The humble bundle sale is about to end, and for the next 20 hours you can grab yourself a free copy of Tropico 3 on their site. It's a pretty good game TBH. 1
