rootsrat Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/24359/? This simple mod lifts the restrictions of amount of books and notes that can be placed on a bookshelf. You can now place up to 48 books and notes, depending on books size, i.e. you will be able to completly fill the shelf. I've been using this for ages, no issues, simple script, works like a charm. No brainer, really.
torminater Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 Is this not already covered by USKP? I can remember talking about this limitation here already, but cannot recall whether it has been fixed already or not.
WilliamImm Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 It's not mentioned in this thread, so I assume it's not included in the USKP.
rootsrat Posted June 2, 2013 Author Posted June 2, 2013 Unlimited Bookshelves is full of errors. DO NOT USE IT, seriously. This is a safe replacement.
Wormheart Posted June 2, 2013 Posted June 2, 2013 With this mod, books will still need calculated object bounds, it is easy to do (a lot easier than I remember being described in Unlimited Bookshelves) but it is tedious. I wanted to write a Skyproc patcher that read in all book records and updated the object bounds based on a list of pre-calculated values. However, I have zero java experience so I didn't make it very far :P

Wormheart Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 I believe the bounds is where getwidth gets the width from, which is why they are needed :) Edit info from the CK wiki:Calculates and returns the width of this reference (distance between the bounding box min and max x values).
rootsrat Posted October 1, 2013 Author Posted October 1, 2013 Bump. Can we include this one for testing? (I'm using it for a long time with no issues anyway). It's somewhat of a fix for vanilla IMHO, as limiting the number of books you can place on a bookshelf is just plain silly and not realistic at all. Unless there is a strong magical field on every single bookshelf ;)
DanielCoffey Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 If you do use this, you will need to add Dragonborn Book Bounds Fix for all the Dragonborn books, journals and notes. There is a mod that does this for us... https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/39671 If you use Book Covers Skyrim then you do not need the Dragonborn Book Bounds Fix as I have already added relevant OBND values.
rootsrat Posted October 1, 2013 Author Posted October 1, 2013 I have DB, but haven't played it yet, so thanks for the heads up! I do use your mod indeed, so guess I'm safe in that respect. Cheers.
ath3nos Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 I use both and I have not had any issues. I'm a big book collector and I like to see the shelves completely filled up. Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
DanielCoffey Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Just to recap... If you use Bookshelves Script SKSE and have Dragonborn, you need EITHER Dragonborn Book Bounds Fix OR Book Covers Skyrim.
GrandBulwark Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Just to recap... If you use Bookshelves Script SKSE and have Dragonborn, you need EITHER Dragonborn Book Bounds Fix OR Book Covers Skyrim.Thank you for that. Â I was wondering whether I need both!
