I'm not using SkyPatcher, if that's what you mean by repeating the steps. But I do have constant crashing.

And the form id 0x1C003F66 doesn't appear consistently. Where it had been is filled with other random forms.

But it seems that I'm having the same error, referencing 0x000..., even with dyndolod disabled, though it was tested on an existing save and have not yet on a new save. So now I think it's a problem on my end.

But here's the new crash log anyway, in case this helps.

https://pastebin.com/NrQmUAf1

and thank you for responding.

I mean repeating the steps to cause the crash.

Also upload the crash log with DynDOLOD output/plugins removed to compare to.

Test if using this test version of DynDOLOD DLL NG makes a difference https://mega.nz/file/scY3BaTa#TCgNaTLZ75mgx68OHi_8RzGdXefTs_m09mDzIP1yM5A with DynDOLOD output/plugins enabled.

Just replace the DLL and run the game.

Sorry for late response.

Here's the two crash logs that I had when tried disabled dyndolod:

https://pastebin.com/bNqXCMMH

https://pastebin.com/gpz6QemK

And I tried the new dll. I couldn't have tested really long, but it does seem to be more stable than before.

I haven't had a crash for about 1h, and my game hadn't lasted more than 30m on average before trying this new dll.

It haven't been really tested long enough, but this does seem promising. So thank you very much.

When I have more time to play, I'll share again to confirm or report whether this is really working on my setup. Thank you again for addressing this.

The two crash logs with all of DynDOLOD disabled that crash in CrashLogger might be low memory related. 8GB/2GB total is not much, so you probably need to stay considerate with the number of mods, quality of assets, settings etc.

Thanks for letting us know the test DLL seems to work better so far.

So the game hasn't crashed on me in a while, but got another one referencing Dyndolod quite a bit. It also mentioned Container Item Distributor, but I don't think that's it. Here is the log and the log analyzer report

crash-2025-06-26-23-03-27.log 57.75 kB · 2 downloads

The crash log shows SkyPatcher.dll last before the crash in the Skyrim executable.

You reported that testing without SkyPatcher.dll as a troubleshooting step made a difference. Try to find the particular patch that is required for the crash to happen by using binary search and report the result as already explained, so we can troubleshoot and hopefully fix what the actual issue might be.

You might also want to try the DynDOLOD.DLL NG test version from https://stepmodifications.org/forum/topic/21092-crash/page/2/#findComment-286964 to see if it makes a difference - maybe it also already addresses or avoids the issue with whatever happens with the SkyPatcher patch. Report result as well.

https://dyndolod.info/FAQ#ILS-or-CTD
Ignore nonsensical suggestions that autosaves need to be disabled because of papyrus scripts not completing or similar made up stories about plugins being "known to cause CTD" when fast traveling or changing locations because of scripting etc. This is not how anything works. If disabling autosaves would be required to prevent CTD, manual saves would have the same issue and it would actually be widely known, would have been reported, troubleshooted, analyzed, fixed, had known workarounds and/or be part of every modding guide since over a decade.

I let the author of Skypatcher know, he seems to have fixed it with an update. Testing today!

So what patch did you find/report which is required for the crash to happen?

What was the result of testing with the DynDOLOD DLL NG version?

I didn't find what patch it was. Turns out when I filed the bug report a lot of other people had similar issues. The author of Skypatcher fixed the crash in the latest update.

Hi, I recently started getting random ctd with nearly the same crash logs, all mentioning DynDOLOD.DLL. It happens randomly and is hard to reproduce. The four crashes included in the zip all happened in Tameriel worldspace, at Markarth outskirt, Karthspire, Helgen, and Whiterun outskirt respectively. Also, I'm using Seasons of Skyrim, and the first three crash happened in winter, while the last one happend in spring. The crash cannot to reproduced if I start the game again, load the latest save and go to the same location.

To try to find the cause, I disabled ContainerItemDistributor after the first crash, disabled `iAllowLeveledListsAddedToContainers` in Skypatcher after the second crash. And after reporting it to skypatcher, the author updated the mod to try to fix the issue, but then I crashed again just now without skypatcher in the crash log. Therefore, I think it could be a DynDOLOD issue. I would really appreciate it if you could help me diagnose the problem.

Moved to the appropriate thread. See posts above. See https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Use-Search

Use the test version of DynDOLOD DLL NG from this post https://stepmodifications.org/forum/topic/21092-crash/page/2/#findComment-286964. Report the result.

Regardless if that made a difference or not, with the release version of DynDOLOD DLL NG, test if updating to the latest SkyPatcher version makes a difference. Report the result as well.

Post new crash log in case there are still problems with both DLLs updated.

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll try with the new dll you provided. I'll play for a few hours and see if any crash happens again. Also, I'm already using the latest skypatcher before the last crash today, and it still crashed without skypatcher being mentioned in the crash log.

Also about search, I tried to search with text in the log, like the crash address, but since crash logs are often shared in links it's kind of hard to find threads with similar problems. So thanks a lot for moving my comment here.

Post new crash log in case there are still problems with both DLLs updated.
发布新的崩溃日志,以防更新两个 DLL 仍然存在问题。

"Hello Sheson,
I'd like to mention that I'm experiencing the same issue as others. I imagine they may not always have time to playtest with the new DLL files. However, I'll be sure to share my testing results here – whenever I encounter a CTD, I'll update my post accordingly.
Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication."

Based on the reports so far, the crash seems immediate within minutes/less than hour and frequent in exteriors. Should only take a couple hours in a couple days to know if the test version of the DynDOLOD DLL NG helps or not. Report results either way.

Hi Sheson, so I played for 4 hours yesterday without any ctd, until it eventually crashed, but not the same crash log as this one, it's another kind of crash involving BSWaterShaderProperty that I've been experiencing a lot recently. So I think your new DLL does help with the DynDOLOD.DLL crash. I might play more today and report back if any new ctd happens. Thanks very much for the updated DLL!

A bit off topic, but I've been struggling with the BSWaterShaderProperty crash lately, and haven't found anything that could be the cause. I included the crash log below, you could take a look if you are interested. I'd much appreciate your insight.
