Immediate CTD during Step 5: Grass Cache

I've followed the guide, SkyrimSE 2.3, to the letter. The smoke test passed, and all the way up to 19-Utilities, the launch to generate GrassControl.ini was successful. When it came time to precache the grass, however, I get about one second of the bottom right loading dial before a CTD, whether I'm trying to precache grass or load up through SKSE. My drivers are all up to date. Anybody able to assist?

On a hunch, I disabled all of the mods from 20-Patches, and a load to main menu was successful. After narrowing it down, I learned that a mod in 16-Interface had failed to install properly. I reinstalled it, and we're working again. The issue is solved.

Glad you got it figured out. What mod didn't install properly?

I'm having the exact same issue. Could you please elaborate a little on how you resolved it?

It's most likely caused by a mod containing a binary (DLL) that was not installed properly. It could be any of them though and not necessarily the mod related to the OP problem (whatever it was, probably CoMAP)

Regrettably I no longer can. That NVMe and everything I had on it died. Unfortunately that included my notes and that entire load order project.
