Sento Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 I get massive framedrops when there are a lot of fire sources on screen (torches, candles etc.). Is there a way to fix this? F.e. reducing the resolution of fire effects or anything like that? > Jump to the fix
DoubleYou Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 This is likely caused by particle lights from Embers XD. You can tweak the ENB settings sometimes to help this.

I've set the value under: [Particles] iMaxDesired= to the minium requirement (1500) as suggested in the mod description by Embers XD but the framedrops are still the same.
DoubleYou Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 You might just have to disable the particle light effects to solve it. You should consider starting a conversation on the mod page about it, as he will likely know better.
Mousetick Posted November 30, 2022 Posted November 30, 2022 Have you tried the 'Optimized' particle light quality option in the Embers XD installer? STEP Guide recommends the 'High' option by default.

Reinstalled the mod with the "Optimized settings" option in the FOMOD installer. 2. I've set the "iMaxDesired=" value at the [Particles] section to "2000" via BethINI 4. I've set "EnableBigRange=", "EnableShadow=" and "EnableNormalMappingShadows=" to "false" in enbseries.ini. 4. I've set "OptimizeSmallRange=" to "true" in enbseries.ini. This reduced the lag for around 20 - 25 fps when there are a lot of fire sources on screen. 1 2

Rudy ENB for CW recommends selecting Optimized as well... "Embers XD". ENB fire effect from my preset is prepared for Mindflux's mod. Choose the Orange flames and Optimized version, Disabled Red Glow and Reduced Yellow Glow
z929669 Posted December 3, 2022 Posted December 3, 2022 We may want to also recommend the Optimized version in the guide. Needs testing though with some compares.
