Merge plugins not detecting previous merges

Merge plugins used to have a list of all my previous merges until now, any help would be appreciated

Merges are stored on disk in a JSON file in the application directory.  The only way for the merges to no longer be present is for this file to be deleted or corrupted.  There's most likely no way to recover your merges if you did something that caused the file to be overwritten or lost.
