Can not find DynDOLOD Resources SE Core Files

jcamp

Question

post-12775-0-69861700-1527044466_thumb.png

I manually installed the resource files and have it checked on ModOrganizer2, they are up-to-date with my standalone files, added the -sse argument and now I'm generally confused because my TextGen worked completely fine but DynDOLOD refuses to work. Can anyone help me with this?

Hello to all the Skyrim modder base. I am a beginner.

I have an issue with DynDOLOS during the generation process for tree LODs.
I tried to be as close to the instructions as possible. If I still got something wrong, please point it out to me.

Story
So I am right now in the process of recreating the Ultimate Trees 2020 and got up to the point of installing EVT (around minute 21). After installing the main files and the billbord version of EVT I deffenitly wanted to install the custom lagre trees as well. I did as the Installation guid on the EVT Nexus page said and followed the instructions on the Generate LODs. I used the DynDOLOS 2D methode and got up to step 10: "Run DynDOLOD". At this point the DynDOLOD exe sowed the following error message:

Error: Can not find DynDOLOD Resources SE core files required to create imrpoved LOD.
RTFM DynDOLOD_Manual_SSE.html requirements section.
Verify the core files from DynDOLOD Resource SE archive has been installed completly.
Veryfy the game is starting in the desired game mode. Current mode: SSE.
Currend Data path [[Game path of steam SSE\Sata]]]

Preparation
I am using MO2.
I installed DynDOLOD as instucted in the Ultimate Trees Installation Guid and even reinstalled the "DynDOLOD Resource SE" mod.
I completly followed the guids of Ultimate Trees and Generating LODs to the best of my abillity.

I can only asume, the problem lies in a fault version of DynDOLOD Resource SE, or during a mistake during the LOD generation (Step 6, Generating LODs) where I had to list the targeted mod "EVT-custome large trees" at the bottom og the mod load list. Due to the seperate files of EVT and EVT-custom large trees I installed them as 2 mods and EVT-CLT asked me if I wanted to "merge, replace, remove" any files. I chose "merge". Therfore I placed EVT(merged version) at the bottom of the mod list. I repeated the TexGen generation 2 times (alway clearing the output folder) and tried DynDOLOS again whitout sucess.

I installed DynDOLOS and TexGen in a seperate folder (eg. not Programmx84, not the modlist folder, not the MO2 folder).

I hope somebody can help me with this problem. I really want bigger trees in my skyrim world (like Simply bigger trees) and a variety of trees. Trees make the game alive. And I only want to not use custom bigger trees as a last result.
I hope I provided every impoirtant piece of information.

Thank you for your time.

The error message is self explanatory. Make sure the DynDOLOD Resource SE archive downloaded completely and the Core Files were installed completely.

Sometimes downloads are incomplete and/or not all files are extracted without error message.

If there are problems with following 3rd party instructions, you need to ask its author.

Dear Mod Author.

I just manually installed the DynDOLOD Resource Se pack from Nexus (manual download, inporting it into MO2), redid the installation of EnhancedVanillaTrees (EVT main, EVT Billboards, EVT-CustomLargeTrees [i need DynDOLOD for the last one]).

Run TexGen, ziped the output and importet it as a mod in MO2 and run DynDOLOD agian.

The same error occured again.

DynDOLOD Resources SE core files   are still missing.

How can I asure that the DynDOLOD Resource SE archive is complete and the core files are installed completly?

During the installation setting of MO2 the checkbox "Core Files" was checked (it could not be unchecked).

This time I downloaded the DynDOLOD version from your forum,  even installed “Indistinguishable Billboards for SE†(because a lot of DynDOLOD installation guids requested it) and placed it on top of my load order.

I am at a loss here. I think I did everything I can (with my current knowledge) but still can not solve such a simple problem. Not even the RTFM could help me out.

I hope you can help me out here.

Sincerely,

Schausi

The DynDOLOD patcher does a simple check if a few key files from DynDOLOD Resources SE Core Files exist in the load order. If the files do not exist, then the error message is issued.

Since you are using MO2, you also need to start every tool and the game from the MO2 executable drop down.

Since you are using MO2, you also need to start every tool and the game from the MO2 executable drop down.

Thats interesting to know.

As you said I did not start TexGen or DynDOLOD via the MO2. Thank you for pointig this out to me.

But this leads me to another problem and why I did not start these two programms via MO2.

Uppon adding these two programms to the executables and adding the "-sse" argument, the programm won`t start. MO2 tries to run it but abandones the process befor opening the programm.

In the executables I added the x64 version and even tried to path the starting location. But to no avail.

I don`t assume you have any solution for this problem to, right?

But thank you very much for your help regarding my issue. It was very kind of you and I would not have solved it without you. (I loocked through a lot of posts and nobody had the same issue).

Anyways. Thanks again. And thank you for still helping the modder community up to this point with your mods and support.

We know that the tools work perfectly fine with with MO. Double check you have added the path to the executables and the argument correctly.

If you have issues with MO2, I suggest to check its log files for clues, refer to its documentation, forum or Discord for help.

The end user has successfully performed a complete fresh install of Skyrim Special Edition and followed the STEP guide 1.0.0 verbatim. The end user has reached the instruction, "Run DynDOLOD - 3D Tree LOD > 4. Run DynDOLOD from the MO2 executable drop-down list." When the end user starts DynDOLOD from MO2 (Mod Organizer 2), it renders this error message:

image.thumb.png.b7243daf2738b6fd3be292f4ca048f15.png

The end user has verified the core files have been installed "completly", or indeed, completely.

image.thumb.png.e771b82e01b4f04ee7e221bf98ea545d.png

The end user has read the fuc--sorry--"FUNTASTIC" manual's requirement sections. The end user even read it a fifth time, just in case.

The end user has successfully installed both the x86 and x64 of the linked Visual Studio Redistributables, as by your guide's own admission, TexGen would have failed to run. And yes, the machine was shut down and then booted up again.

This is a Step guide question first and only becomes a DynDOLOD question if an actual DynDOLOD issue arises. The issue you are having is most likely that either your DynDOLOD version is not correct, or your Resources are not correct. If your resources are incorrect or not enabled, you will get this error. Please verify that you did not grab the DynDOLOD 3.00 Miscellaneous files.

Also check your DynDOLOD-MO executable config by referencing the tools section of the guide

Apparently, you successfully ran xLODGen to get the terrain LOD?

Apparently, you were able to successfully run TexGen to get the required textures for DynDOLOD?

If so, then your tools are probably set up correctly (but recheck DynDOLOD MO executable setup to be sure)

This error could also happen if you only got a partial download of the Resources. Confirm it is complete or re-download/replace to be certain.

Ensure that the resources are placed in the mod list where they are expected and all plugins are activated, and LOOT has been run.

Obviously there  are no hidden requirements or steps which are not written or explained in the DynDOLOD manual.

DynDOLOD does a simply file check if a couple key files from DynDOLOD Resources exist in the load order.
If the OS function tells DynDOLOD a file does not exist, it means the file does not exist (common cause as already mentioned is incomplete download or unpacking or not starting the tool correctly) or access is being blocked by the OS, anti vir or third party program.

Hi, I keep receiving this error and am pretty stumped as what to do.

DynDOLOD Resources SE: 2.88 <= 2.88 <= 2.96
[00:00:08.198]    SSE 3463134862 Error: Can not find DynDOLOD Resources SE core files required to create improved LOD. Do not install DynDOLOD Resources intended for Skyrim. Do not modify files from DynDOLOD Resources SE. Verify the archive or files were not corrupted.

Dyndolod resources SE is installed via MO2, Dyndolod, TexGen and LODGen all have the correct -SSE, -o arguments in MO. Have looked at many similar forum posts and can't seem to find a solution.

Check OP of THIS topic, and be certain you have the correct applications and Resources installed. Not to be confused with the DynDOLOD Alpha versions. Also read carefully the file descriptions. SSE != SLE

This is the version is downloaded and installed via Mod Organizer and yes it is the SSE version. I have included images to show the exact download from nexus I used, what happens when I run DynDOLOD and also where I have installed DynDOLOD Resources SE. I have included my executables list to show I have the correct arguments and to show where my filepaths are.

I hope this helps with identifying the issue as I'm pretty much at a loss.

See the OP of this thread for downloads. You must download the latest Resources SE version for DynDOLOD 2.xx. You must install correct DynDOLOD version for SSE using links in this OP. You must NOT use DynDOLOD Alpha 3.00 resources with DynDOLOD 2.xx.

I can almost guarantee that you are either downloading one of the wrong versions or that you have incompatible Resources from another version in your load order OR you have an incomplete download/install from MO.

Try using the Mega links in the OP to manually download/install compatible versions.
