Question

Posted (edited)

Hi,

I'm using MO2 build v2.0.8.3 and for whatever reason MO refuses to run Wrye Bash, SSEEdit, hell even Bodyslide (don't judge), etc. It'll toss out an error "Failed to spawn "name of whatever I'm trying to run" failed to start process. (The parameter is incorrect. [87]) I've triple checked the installs an even uninstalled/reinstalled everything expect for the game itself, its fine and MO even loads the mods just like normal. So..... I'm confused. Any help would be great.

Have you got the start in directly filled in to point to where the binary is?

Also if you are using bodyslide

https://prntscr.com/ewifbu

make sure you hold ctrl when building every time otherwise it will write to the fallout game folders instead of the MO virtual folders, with ctrl held files will be written to the overwrite of mod organizer.

you can set it up to write to a folder after the first time

Yup I've done that loads of times. Even when MO finds loot on its own (when you first start MO) it still won't run it.

I'm using win10 and just tried all compatibility options and yes Admin was the first thing I tried. Using portable version of MO2.

LOOT, Bodyslide, SSEEdit, Wrye Bash, etc are all setup like. I have played with this months ago never seen this problem before.

Right kind of stumped on this, but did you install the content creation kit or c++ redist 32 bit or any other program before it stopped working?

Never once installed the mod kit and the c++ stuff maybe? Its been some 4 months since I last played Skyrim. Thanks for trying though buddy.

Update... I somehow fixed it by doing a complete fresh install (even deleting Skyrim's documents folder.) into a different drive. Dunno why that fixed it but for others give it a try.
