Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Si, I managed to finish the install, and everything looks awesome in game. But when I entered the map I got a SkyUi Error 6, map.sfw is version 4.1 instead of 5.1. Does anyone know where I could have messed up?

Turn off the warning via MCM as specified in the guide MCM settings. There is no loss in function.

Neo, have you had a look yet at Enhanced Landscapes? It's a mod dependent upon DynDoLOD, adding hundreds if not thousands of objects into the world. Really makes Skyrim look much more rich and varied in my opinion, and complements my SRLE setup well.

I am thinking this wouild be a nice addition to my SRLE Build what mods do you drop from SRLE  and what options and load order do you use with this mod?

IIRC you do not have to drop any mods from SR:LE to use this. Just load it after SFO. Well, ok, a mod that gets fully overridden by EL is Aspen Trees (same mod author) so you can get rid of it and its billboards for DynDOLOD.

In terms of options...well, this is a bit subjective! I use the main file + Oaks + DLC patch...although the other options are quite nice, I just found them a bit "too much" for my current setup.

Again IIRC, TES5Edit-wise, there are no major conflicts with pure SR:LE...a few very minor ones with USKP that you can also live without.

Performance is not bad, actually it is pretty good if you take into account what this mod adds to the worldspace, but scenery is absolutely fantastic! DynDOLOD does a great job with this mod and all of the sudden the world of Skyrim feels...not so empty! Especially looking at distant mountains! Amazing!!

Plus, this mod uses a great DynDOLOD method for patching various mods in an esp-less way. For pure SR:LE the patches for CRF and BFT are already included in that method (ini files), so you will not have to install anything else. Oh, and all of the optionals can be merged into the main mod quite easily.

Just follow the mod's description page and you will be good to go!

I would say go for it!! You will not regret it  ::):

Imo DynDOLOD is already a very 'heavy' mod, I wonder how much of a performance impact adding Enhanced Landscapes has

well i've just installed didn't run Dyndoload I have the grass plugin and my FPS outside whiterun in the tundra it below 30FPS so a lot os tweaking is going to be required.

walking around mortal with marsh pines option 60-57fps

walking around the rfit simlair 60-57fps

(currrently without DYNDOLOD)

the grass plugin and green fields are too heavy for my setup so i wont be using them

i am going to use:

I will be using the main file + Oaks + DLC patch (debating no marsh trees option all depend if I want morthal as a marsh or swamp)

added loot Rules:

Enhanced Landscapes - Merged.esp load after Skyrim Flora overhaul.esp

Cutting Room Floor Load After Enhanced Landscapes - Merged.esp

After testing both Enhanced Landscapes https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68782/? and Skyrim Landscape Overhaul https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53632/?

For a few hours each.

I am in agreement with Hishutup I prefer Skyrim Landscape Overhaul. SLO looks better and the performance (at least on my system is better)

I had Dyndolod Run at Medium Settings for both SLO and Enhanced Landscape and used the same route as a test I walked from whiterun to dragonbridge, then Dragonsbridge (going through morthal swamp) to Dawnstar.

Skyrim Landscape overhaul barely dropped to below 55FPS, (expect in Dawnstar it dropped for some reason to was around 40FPS)

and walking between dragonsbride and morthal I maintained 60FPS (even in the swamp).

Unlike the same route Enhanced Landscape was 45FPS, again dawnstar was around 40ish (don't what is about dawnstar that my system doesn't like).

the only conflict i have noticed in TES5edit between SLO are SLRE was Better Dynamic Snow and i just put SLO under Better dynamic snow my my Load Order

Its funny because I also tried them both and found that I would like them both to be a thing because they touch different parts of the world which is kind of crazy.

The downside is some rocks are sticking out of the landscape and the frames hit is pretty bad, I've been spoiled with 60fps on a different game and now I just cant stand skyrim and the dreaded performance problems.

the biggest performance hitting mod is now dyndolod without it actived I can maintain 60fps not matter where i go in skyrim (but skyrim has always been pretty badly optimized) but i now cant play the game without it so a lower frame rate is the price i have to pay with this game now. plus my game is fairly heavliy modded now i really should stop adding mods.
