Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Okay, so It's been a while, but I'm back to take a crack at this again with my new beefier computer.  I've got questions about a few mods not listed in the guide, specifically Perkus Maximus and Hunterborn.  Do people use either of these mods with this pack and/or are there any particular reasons Neovalen hasn't used them in the pack.

not sure about hunterborn, but I'm pretty sure that neo has addressed his thoughts on perkus maximus. probably would show up with a search here in this forum.

I did try looking the closest thing I found was him saying that the patch takes a long time so it's a pain if your changing mods often

Another thing I was wondering about was what level of textures I should use. I have a R9 270X GAMING 4G video card. My screen is only a 32" tv though, so my resolution is 1360x768

You have 4G VRAM. You should be able to follow the guide. I personally will use 1k. You probably will not see much difference between 1k and 2k at that resolution. Edited by darkside

I use Hunterborn and it works well with the guide, though it can get a little laggy with the scripts at times.  If you use it just be careful not to loot too many creatures in too short of a time and it should work fine.  Basically just wait a second or two between each time you loot an animal.

Personally I really hope this guide doesn't become dependent on a particular overhaul.  I've used it with Skyre, Ace/Empowered Magic/Stealth Skills Rebalanced/Morrowloot 4E, and am currently using it with a Sperg/Morrowloot Ultimate play through and it's worked great in each of them.  I plan on using it wih PerMa, eventually ( 2.0? ), TTSR,  and am going to try a stripped down version with Requiem eventually as well.  There's just so many great overhauls out there that limiting this guide to just one would be a shame.

I had better luck searching the term "perma"

and also, according to my search results, it appears that there is a forum around here somewhere for using perkus maximus with neo's guide.

I kind of agree with cstarkey42, limiting the guide would be a shame. Just because I can't quite get it to work well with requiem doesn't mean I don't love trying.. Every other week.. Still, you learn a lot!

Used srle with skyre a while back, moved onto PerMa now. I should just try a playthrough with vanilla perks. It's been so long I don't even remember what they were like.

Well, the Perma version now is 1.3.2, and it was pretty stable since 1.2. I play with STEP expanded + almost all the mods that have patches from PCaPP + a few others that are in this guide and some extra recomandations for enhanced AI made by T3nd0, and encountered no serious bugs after tens of hours of play. Only some Perma Perks have problems sometimes, but its only related to perma, not incompatibilities. Perma was made to be as compatible as possible, not like Skyre.
