Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Guys, can anyone edit swf files? I don't have flash and need to make simple change to hudmenu.swf to remove white diamond (one that shows up on empty containers)? Appreciate your help

@Neo - apologies for spamming your thread, but I am not sure where else to post this and really just started with skyrim few weeks ago and been using your awesome guide to set the game up

So I did the run through Helgen with brighter dungeons. It was pretty good and definitely showd off lots of the textures better. Much easier to find the dead bodies and miniature spiders when it came time to loot the place. There were lots of nice shadows, but it was clearly brighter than a real dungeon and cave woukd have been - I can easily see how someone wanting the ,out realistic experience might not want it this bright. I guess my verdict is that it's easier to play and better eye candy but might be a bit too bright - a setting half way between the normal and brighter might e nice. I think I will stick with this brighter setting for a while.

I always use the darker (realistic) setting, however if I'm testing or not in the mood to deal with it I simply toggle ENB off for a moment. :)

If you would compare the brightnes to vanila brightness is it darker or even brighter?

no, it's from the Unique Items file.

instead of meshes/staffofmagnus, should be meshes/weapons/staffofmagnus

(if you installed the weapons file according to neo's instructions then there won't be anything in the meshes folder for that file anyway)

you could also just download the hotfix from the mod page if you want.

I didn't have the staff in my meshes folder that's why I was confused. I keep notes in MO under the notes tabs telling me what choices and changes I made to the mod according to Neo's notes or my own changes. I just must not have checked the option installing it. Thanks for helping me realize that

yeah, neo instructs to download all of the main files from the aMidianBorn Book of Silence mod. one of those files is called aMidianBorn book of silence_UNIQUE ITEMS. that's the file that wrongly places the staff of magnus meshes into meshes/staffofmagnus (instead of meshes/weapons/staffofmagnus).
