DanielCoffey Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Neo - OBIS 2.0 has a script cleanup advisory on its download page when used with an existing save.
Neovalen Posted February 3, 2015 Author Posted February 3, 2015 Yes it does, however I'm not 100% sure why. Either way, it means clean save is safest.
Astakos Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 In situations like these, I always perform the following and so far it does seem to work: 1. Save the game in an interior (preferably not crowded - Anise's Cabin Cellar is a good spot).2. Quit game, uninstall OBIS and any of its patches3. Re-run BP, Skyproc patchers4. Load the save of step 1, wait a few in-game minutes and re-save in a new slot.5. Quit game6. Run this new save through a script cleaner and remove any orphaned scripts and references.7. Load this cleaned save again, wait a few minutes in-game and save again. Quit game8. Optional step: rerun the script cleaner to verify all in order and no scripts have remained.9. Install new version of OBIS and any patches, re-run BP and Skyprocs10. Load your last save, wait a bit, save again, play11. Optional step: Since you are in this secluded interior and since new OBIS records will take a while to appear in-game, it is a good idea to run the "cell reset" process from the MCM of SIC.12. Save again in a new slot...play! It is a bit of a lengthy process but for big mods like OBIS it has always worked for me. Actually this is more or less the process I am doing whenever I am updating/unistalling scripted mods. Hope some of you may find it useful! :) 2
drkalbar Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 In-Game Configuration there is character creation section and weapon tab configuration. I can't see such filed when I started new game with Race Menu and Sky UI. Did I miss something ? :)
DanielCoffey Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 It is way to the right in the list of RaceMenu tabs... I almost missed it too.

Neovalen Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 Messing around with the new FOMOD installer template I found on the wiki (example: EBT). Also thinking of recommending the internal FOMOD installer of MO now that Tannin has put in some upgrades with the latest MO. (Of course this means I'll need to slowly go through the guide updating the install instructions)
Zegorzalek Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) I am a new STEP user, and doing a complete reinstall of Skyrim utilizing this guide... I was noting some items in the instructions that were confusing to me where information was not quite all there... figured it out, but the info was much further down in the install instructions... I will send them up if you are planning a re-write. I like the guide very much... can't wait to play Skyrim on this setup. R, Zeg Edited February 4, 2015 by Zegorzalek

Neovalen Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 Well, I managed to replace the installers up to the Skin and Body section... the rest tommorow! :) For now, sleep.
DanielCoffey Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I presume if we have already installed those mods on an existing playthrough we are good to skip through the new FOMOD install instructions, yes? I assume they just need to be followed on a fresh SR:LE install.
Neovalen Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 Right. Didn't change any options, just the format.

Neovalen Posted February 4, 2015 Author Posted February 4, 2015 I can't take credit more than using someone's template and integrating it, but thanks anyway. :) Even just doing that much is time consumung.
