Hey! First off I want to thank you for the fantanstic guide you put up.

I've done everything, I believe, successfully. I started up the game, made a character and then left to do some other things. When I was playing I noticed it was a little glitchy and thought that I would turn down the resolution (I'm on a 2560x1600) to improve the framerate. Well I get back and do that (1920x1200) and enter the game. But when I entered it was glitchy, sometimes the textures wouldn't show at all, sometimes it would be completly black. I can talk and move and have dialogue, but the graphics are just all out of whack. When I press esc the menu pulls up fine (albiet with a strange hue) and I can exit or do anything normally.

Now other than the obvious question (why is it doing that). Was this caused because I used the Skyrim Launcher to change the resolution? Because it's really the only thing that I did before starting up the game for the second time.

P.S. - Tried to take a screen shot, but didn't come out. Just imagine no textures, black screens, glares, and/or glitchiness. Though depending on how I moved my camera I could get everything fine.

Hello Neo,

I'm currently going through the Conflcict Resolution

Block 4 > Sub-Block 3 > 03005EAA DLC1RedwaterDen02 > Temporary > 030148D7

Conflict Resolution: Use record from ELFX - Exteriors.esp then move the Z position from Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp.

Problem Resolved: Floating candle fix from unofficial patches was not properly forwarded.

If you want I can provide a screenshot.

But ELFX - Exteriors.esp isn't showing any CELL confilcts. What I did was the following;

Conflict Resolution: Use record from ELFX  - Dawnguard.esp then move the Z position from Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp.

Problem Resolved: Floating candle fix from unofficial patches was not properly forwarded.

Fixed.

Possibly? I've not run Skyrim Launcher to change settings after the initial setup. I would double check your ini settings from the top and bottom of the guide through MO.

Define "glitchy" from your first attempt... Low framerate only? Black textures is ussually indicative of a memory problem but just to be safe check your video card temps and make sure things in other games are not messed up as well.

Is Vsync turned on?

Are you using an ENB? If you ran the launcher there is a chance that Antialiasing and Ansitropic Filtering are on if you used the "Detail" button.

This is exactly what happened. I found out after doing a little tinkering. I turned this off and it all went away. Not sure why it turned itself on.

Hello,

I have installed SR:LE complete by the guide. It's functionnal.

Now i'd like to add Requiem. Question : Requiem don't need the same rule for the bashed patche, no "import names" and "import stats". Is it compatible with SR:LE and the SR Conflict Resolution.esp ?

Thanks

Hi guys,

This is probably my first post (i cant remember) so please be kind if my questions have been asked previously.  Given this is a 272 page thread, Ive only read the last 50 looking for answers.

I have spent the last 2 weeks firstly installing and learning to use MO (previous limited experience was with NMM) and then working through exactly STEP:Core (game worked fine and super stable) and then STEP:Extended (lots more to learn - bashed patches, patches, DSR re-procer and FNIS stuff) but again, games works fine and stable).  Resting on my laurels for about 45 seconds, i then started looking around at the STEP:PACKS and was slightly disappointed.  Many seem to have been abandoned - Nearox/VEGA Extended! - this made me sad :( and I think I need more skills to pick and choose bits of the packs to make something I want.

Which is of course when I stumbled upon this - what do I call this? - work of a lifetime by Neo? - called SR:LE.  Having read the last 50 pages Im getting the sense of how live and alive this is and also hanker after the addition of something to address perks like others, but my question is this really:

Having installed STEP: Core and Extended, but now want to follow the path of SR:LE and I now just starting again from scratch?

Obviously i have a load of the mods SR:LE uses already downloaded and am now fairly familiar with MO, LooT, Reprocers and .jar thingys (lol im not THAT familiar) - is this going to take me another 2 weeks lol?

Im here to learn, and I want most of all to be able to learn the skills of conflict resolution so I can go ahead and add my own stuff ontop and learn to fix things myself rather than having to ask

Thanks for any responses

Matt

Just wanted to give anyone a heads up if they're experiencing a large FPS drop with SRLE+REGS. My game is pretty stable now but I noticed a huge FPS drop. (running at 8-15 FPS both indoors & outdoors) which hadn't occurred before. Because it was worse around towns & cities I went through all the usual suspects like Interesting NPC's, ETaC, Dawn of..., etc. I finally narrowed it down to XPMS Extended. I have an install for each gender so I can switch characters if I want. I also have v1.93a unchecked from previous profiles. Yes HDT & FNIS are installed and configured correctly. If I use either gender install (the other gender of course unchecked) my frame rate hits the floor. If I use just the old 1.93a version everything works fine. 35 outdoors, 47 indoors. Don't know why it would have such a drastic effect, but I've tested it thoroughly & it's 100% reproducible.

Since you have a STEP Extended profile in MO; why not use the Profile Manager drop down menu to create a copy of your current, name it SR:LE and then install the SR:LE mods in addition to the existing STEP Extended build. Your previous work will be safe in the original profile, with your new SR:LE install in its own. You can place your bashed patch and other profile specific files into "mods" like "STEP Extenede Overwrite" & "SR:LE Overwrite". I'm using a hybrid of STEP Extended / SR:LE / REGS, my STEP forum profile page has various notes on what I've had success with, but using the suggestion above to create a SR:LE profile copied from your STEP Extended is your best / easiest way to go, then just follow Neo's guide.

Hi RedIrishLord

Thanks for the reply.  I realise the power of the profiles (that - and Gopher of course) was the reason I even heard of MO and its power.  I guess I just wasnt sure how much of a ground up re-build SR:LE was and if extended was just too far down one path and I would end up having to basically start again anyhow.

NP i will start with my extended profile copied across to a new SR:LE one and take it from there.  Just been struggling with getting BUM working as it appears BOSS and BUM are required whereas I just spent 2 weeks learning loot and metafile ordering lol.  All good :;):

I will take a look at your profile now, im curious as to what others such as yourself, Smile, etc use for perks (if anything) as i hit a bit of a wall when i was about embark on Morrowloot but Dreadflopp seemed to imply that the chap who looks after the SkyRe section hadnt been heard from for a while and SkyRe was what I was hoping to use his pack amongst other things for.

I note in SR:LE there is no kind of "perk overhaul" like SkyRe (but i keep hearing about PerMa beta) - but I also note that there are a number of mods in there to make spawns more challenging and combat a little tougher which i want.

Thanks :)

Hey all - I am having a problem with a step in the guide. I was getting a crash during startup of my newly built SR:LE profile and narrowed it down to the Dagi-Raht mod.

According to WyreBash, the DagiRaht.esp requires the "race compatibility.esm" master.  As of right now, the Racial compatibility mod is not included in the build instructions.

Should I not be installing and activating the DagiRaht.esp and only installing the texture & mesh files?

The instructions currently note the below for the mod:

Dagi-Raht by Nuska

Author: Nuska and a lil Lylium
Version: 1.1 (OLD UNP COMPATIBLE TEXTURES Optional)
Optionals(In Archive):

  • Base

Special Installation: After installation, move and rename the following folders:

  • Textures/Actors/Character/Dagi/Female -> Textures/Actors/Character/khajiitfemale

Mod Notes: This mod is a Khajiit based race, however instead of using the race the body texture will be used as a replacer for UNP.
Mod Dependencies:
