Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Well it didn't like that!  I get a message saying: "Error Could not create the Java Virtual Machine."

path: C:WindowsSystem32javaw.exe -j F:GamesENB Manager/ENBManager.jar (The quotes around the "C:..javaw.exe" disappear when applied.)

Thanks for ENB answer.

Interesting... well in any case you may not need to run as admin, at least I don't because I'm not installed in the program files area. Give it a try.

Hi all,

The friend who installed Skyrim Revisited did some troubleshooting on the install and determined that Realistic Lighting might be conflicting with certain things, so he moved it to bottom of the load screen. We then stress tested the game for about 5 minutes (god mod, enabled flying and speed up running speed, and zoomed across the map). It worked flawlessly right until the very end (after about 5 min. of zooming around,  when it CTD.

So the other day I loaded the game and played, and it is majorly improved since the prior time I tried (when Reaslistic Lighting was much higher in the load order). It does CTD more often than I would like though (at least once per 30 min. of gaming) and it only happens when I am entering a new location, say via opening a door. There is something about the loading of a new area that crashes the game.

Even though I am using 4K textures, the performace of the game is fantastic- no stutters, and the FPS must be well above 30. Silky smooth. And memory use is below 512 per block (based on the memorytexturelog file).

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Realistic lighting is not part of skyrim revisited. Are you sure you are using the new legendary guide? If you follow the guide properly and not choose things like 4k textures you will greatly improve your stability. much of the guide involves choosing compromises between graphics, performance and stability.Crashing or infinite loading screens at doors can be many things and it's hard to find the source of instability. First you will have to eliminate possible causes.

From the ENB website:

26 February:

Updated ENBSeries 0.251 for TES Skyrim without version change. Removed ExpandSystemMemoryX64 parameter, because some SKSE plugins do not work with it enabled.

So do we add the parameter ourselves? or leave it be?

P.S:

I am doing a fresh reinstall :( I did something wrong yesterday which messed up the game completely. A minor setback but it's ok.

Now i am installing Vividian ENB rather than Unreal Cinema... at this stage: "On the "Files" pane, click [Add]. Navigate to VividianTemp/Vividian ENB/Main Files, select all contents in the folder except enblocal.ini then click [Add]."

When i go to try the game after this step, and everything is extremely/black reddish except the mountains and sky... Any idea why?

Update: Just reverted back to unreal cinema and seems ok.

Question:

Is the BUM rule we create during installation of Weapons and Armor Fixes Remade:

  • Improved Closefaced Helmets_Legendary.esp AFTER imp_helm.esp

a possible typo?

During installation of Improved Closefaced Helmets we don't install several esps...including imp_helm.esp since the Improved Closefaced Helmets_Legendary.esp from the ICH WAF and CCF Compatible Version patch removes the need for it.

Just want to double check and verify my userrules & load order are correct for SRLE. I'm trying to debug an issue of missing guard faces (0002161D ArmorGuardHelmetFullWinterhold) in my SRLE + SkyRe reproccer questions WIP thread.

No idea... definitely don't have a shortage of light during the day time with Vividian. Likely something was missed.

That user rule is fine. User rules work by putting whatever ESP you specify into a position in the master list. It doesn't matter if the "target" esp actually is in your load order or not.

No worries Neo, I decided to stick with Unreal Cinema for now... I love it. My only gripe with it is i dunno how to make the screen borderless. Any tips? :) is it safe to DL the Onetweak mod with your guide?

One more thing to mention with regards to ENB 0.251:

Leave it be if you've got the absolute latest ENB.

USKP 2.03 includes:

OutfitListSoldierSonsNoHelmet erroneously contained entries for studded leather armor when it should only be soldier equipment for the Stormcloaks. (Bug #14907)

Does this require patching?

Doesn't appear so in TES5Edit.

If you look in the ENBManager where your Unreal Cinema inis are, you will see enberies enbeffect.fx.ini and in there is EnableLetterboxVignette=true. Change it to false and re-apply the Unreal Cinema settings in ENBManager.

Hey Neo, I was just wondering what frame rate you are getting with SR:LE. I am testing a pure install of the guide so nothing else added. I am currently getting 30 - 40 indoors and 20 - 30 outdoors which gets to its lowest near water, seems low.Vividian seems a tad too bright at night and indoors but some of this may change with ELE coming in.Anyway just curious to know what fps I should be expecting before looking into it too deeply.::):

That went super smooth mate, thanks a lot!

I'm just getting back into Skyrim and building a new SR:LE setup following the current version of the guide, but found something that might be worth noting in the guide:

CharGen Extension

Author: Expired
Version: 2.1.4 (Morphs)
Mod Notes: This mod extends the facial morphs (aka sliders) available when designing your characters face.
Mod Dependencies:

Based on a quick review in TES5Edit I believe the CharGen Morphs.esp is not needed as it looks to be just to load the BSA which we are unpacking.
