Smile44
Stick the originals back into data, renaming them as suggested. Place the cleaned ones into a new folder named something like "Cleaned ESMs" then put that folder into your mods folder. Last part is just to keep your overwrite folder clean. :) Link to comment
Smile44
I know some people have had some success with SPERG and I'm going to probably try that one out myself. Thanks, Yeah I like SPERG, but it works differently I wondered if there might be others that work along the lines of SSR (I doubt Kryptopyr is planning on doing the other trees any time soon). :) Link to comment
Ogham
Just to have it as a learning curve I am gonna try and see in TES5 what is going on with SPERG, since from what I have read I can decide which elements to include I hope I can get it going with Enchanting Awakened, + Stealth and Smithing from Kryptopyr... oh boy. hehe Link to comment
hellanios
you should remove windmills resized since it's included in the new version of Skyfalls and Symills. ;) Link to comment

Faylon
I have a quick question about the contents section of the guide, not so much about the guide itself. Anyway, is it possible to make the sections within the contents collapsible? Instead of hiding the contents section a whole, would it be possible to create show/hide sections for the various chapters/subsections separately? It would make searching stuff a bit easier, for me at least. :) Link to comment
z929669
@Neo My thinking is that this thread is no longer relevant (in the larger context of the forums overall) ... Is feedback being collected or is this mostly just a catch-all for people not wanting to put more thought into their posts? :/ (That was a rhetorical question :P ) the pre-release has already happended, and the current pre-release is SR:LE ... why not close this thread and create another more specific thread? Or simply close this and use the already-more specific threads that exist or are waiting to be created? Anyway, I thought I'd mention it, because searching for topics will often produce multiple results from this huge thread, which is mostly irrelevant to any info pertaining to 'today' Would you mind closing this one Neo? Jonshaun
Sorry, about this, I am not getting exactly what to do with the Bethesda ESMs after cleaning with TES5Edit. The TES5Edit backup is the originals? The cleaned ones are in the Steam/Steamapps/common/Skyrim/Data/ folder? If they are, do I move those out into a new file for Mod Organizer/Mods? Sorry I am getting stumped on this, I am not new to modding this game, just have not ever used Mod Organizer Link to comment

julsnice
you should remove windmills resized since it's included in the new version of Skyfalls and Symills. ;)I said the same thing to myself but didn't mention anything cause I thought it was intentional to have both. Have you confirmed alls good with windmills without the Windmills Resized mod? I believe it worked for my last STEP build but then again that was a buggy mess lol Speaking of removing mods:Neo do you have any opinion on using TES5Edit to merge certain mods together after testing a base build of SR:LE?It can cut down number of ESPs loaded and I hear it helps performance too... My thought anyway. Link to comment
Neovalen
My personal best option would be to "clean out" the entire forum section and make a new SR:LE specific section where I can post some stickies, etc and prevent another gigantic thread. Example: Ogham's post up above. I may just add a note similarly to the guide though. :) Right now it feels like we got people coming from SR and SR:LE when SR is unsupported now.. etc. Ah well, I do plan eventually to make multiple threads instead of this gigantic thread. Cleaned out or not. Alright, I just tried cleaning my vanilla ESMs using the new BETA mod organizer... and it left my cleaned files in the data folder! FINALLY! Apparently Tannin did something under the hood to fix it for me now. I will update the guide. Edit: Guide updated, please proofread if you would guys. Link to comment
Ogham
That should keep one topic out of the thread ^^, but maybe to be sure... Close Mod Organizer. In the /Mods/ create a folder "Cleaned Vanilla ESMs"Navigate to Skyrim/Data and copy (=move) the newly cleaned Bethesda ESM files to the /Mods/Cleaned Vanilla ESMs folder.Navigate to /overwrite/TES5Edit Backups and move all of the backup files to the Skyrim/Data folder.Rename the .backup* files to their original name such as Update.esm, Dawnguard.esm and so on.Remove the TES5Edit Backups folder from /overwrite. I know it is a silly correction :) Link to comment
