Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

I really do not know if that is important (fairly new to all these) but I am mid-way of refreshing my SR guide and load order and I have been following Neo's guidelines to 100%.

In the guide and in XPMS section it is mentioned that it overrides IA & RRaF. In MO it shows me that XPMS overrides IA and UNP Blessed Body and specifically all the files from UNPB's /meshes/actors/character/character assets female/

I do not know if that plays any role but I thought I would mention it.

I have also found some other inconsistencies between SR guide and what MO shows me when I follow SR, regarding which mod overrides what, and I will post them all once I am done through the re-freshing the entire guide and my MO.

No I did not but it was a completely new game so idk I'll try it but this freezing problem is just killing me.

Well the thing is sometimes the integrated installer doesn't work as it should and mess up the installation. The result is files missing and/or wrong file installed.

I tried it and it still CTD'd, I think this conversation should be moved to the general support thread in anycase. I could use some fresh eyes on my freeze issue I've made posts in the 3.1 crash fix thread and in my own freeze thread here in the Skyrim Revisited forum.

Anyone have tested the new XP32 version in-game?

I'm having CTDs with it and some people have reported the same.

versions 1.7.1 and 1.7b brings constant CTD for me if PC is female or NPC female in same cell. Any variant of bolt placement, any variant of BHD.

version 1.6b works.

- From the mod post page.

Basicly, I removed the Belt-Fastened Quivers standalone animation from my MO and then installed the new XP32 version.

I loaded a save game and it worked fine but then I tried to fast travel to Hunter's Camp and I CTD on the loading screen.

The author said he didn't have the issue so maybe its related to other mod in Skyrim Redesigned.

That was mine:)

I uploaded my meshes for xp32. Lets wait while he investigate problem...

I haven't had any issues with the new skeleton, and I literally played for hours without a crash. Odd.

In any case, it looks like Duel is gone for good. I received this from the author:

I choose to quit because of personal attacks toward my reputation. This has gone too far and it make harm to my professional life. I won't debate anymore about it.

If it were only about the mod.. but it's not the case. Lots of companies search about me on the Net and having a dedicated web page saying that I'm a liard is very harmful.

My reality in real life (and reputation) is more important than my hobbies.. I won't risk it to support Duel.

The author of the review continue to write me personnally and confirmed he won't retract his public claims about my work. You'll understand that this will put an end to my implication as a modder to the community.

Sorry,

While it sucks for us, as a programmer myself I can totally understand his reasoning.

"Yet Another Skyrim Hardcore Mod" or YASH for short is worth considering. It was built with lots of input from the USKP team so it should be an easy one to fit into SR. It is very modular and it's Combat AI module works as a standalone amongst others. So far it hasn't had a great deal of attention by the community but it is effective and works very smoothly. A natural competitor to SkyRe.

:)

Edit: This is meant to suggest just using the combat AI module as a replacement for Duel, rather than trying to incorporate everything.

I've found the reason of CTD with latest XPMS. It was mod that adds new hairstyles(SGHair for me). I have insufficient knowledge' date=' but seems that some hair meshes are not compatible with latest XPMS.[/quote']

Interesting... good to know. With SR base I haven't had an issue myself, this could be why.

Actually I'm wrong. What was curve hands issue. I got latest version work because finally installed it right. Hairs is not a problem.

Most funny moment is then I tried manual install from archives I did it wrong too- I considered that bolt placement options doesn't need corresponding skeleton variant.

Can you explain a bit further Iroha? I've been sticking with the 1.6d xpms + cheskos quivers mod for now because I couldn't figure out this crash. I'm sure I'm not using anything more than you are, I'm using SR and a subset of the mods from your post (SkyRe etc) so the cause must be something we have in common. If you've fixed it I'd like to know the details please :)

I have this problem too and would like to know what the problem was and how you solved it. Manual install of XPMS? My game CTD as soon as i remove my armor (female character, have not trtied male). I have all SR mods except Realistic Needs and Diseases. No other mods except time on loading screen and a sve hotkey mod.

I don't use chesko's variant personally cause it's good for UNP females and not for my females bodymesh (awful clipping), but in general you should install it via external installer (not integrated in MO), choose

Skeleton Rig Map, Vanilla, Bolts Quiver - Chesko, Back Hip Dagger and Back 1H Sword - Chesko

Actually it's a quote from SR guide.

My error was choosing bolt placement options(any non-vanilla) without choosing chesko's variants - I selected BHD only. Once I installed Skeleton Rig Map, Back hip dagger equip/unequip animations, Vanilla (it is bolt placement option and dependent from next choice), Back hip dagger - crashes dissapeared.
