justjr
Aren't you guys using Mod Organizer? If so, should not have to install something over the other. Wrye bash will do the job (but is slow to wait things unpack), but don't use NMM (not good with multiple mods) end never ever try to install so much mods by hand. o.O Sorry I can't help with that, I am not having CTDs, but I have to DDSopt and restrain to 1024 all mods to play it without stutter with my poor 1GB card. So don't hate me so much. x) Already tried disable the HD LOD mod (meshes)? I think that was causing CTDs to me on Whiterun some time ago, but not now. It's weird, cause the same mods I already had prolems in the past, I don't have now. Like this one, Dynamic Snow, and others. But definitely my problems were with some mod in the 2.F and/or 2.G categories of STEP 2.2.1 guide (https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.1#2.G_Landscape_.26_Environment ). Try disable all of them and see if its gone, then turn one by one on again. Maybe it can help. Link to comment
Satyre
CTD even without blessed body. Loaded almost everything up to the end of section 4.4.2 (skipped a few mods) and still getting CTD in exactly the same place. Link to comment

Loaded almost everything up to the end of section 4.4.2 (skipped a few mods) and still getting CTD in exactly the same place. Did you remove the SKSE tweak? Only thing I can think of (that fixed my Whiterun)... As for the Helgen Keep CTD... tweak down the interior ini setting:[General]iLargeIntRefCount=262144 -> something like 100000. I've seen this from one or two people. I really hate ini tweaks sometimes... works for some but not all. Link to comment
Satyre
OK, now it's running stable with most of the mods up to the end of 4.2.2 Where do I find the skse.ini - saw that in your changelog but can't find it on my machine. Link to comment

What the heck it may be, USKP really?I haven't actually TRIED the new one in game yet... but I know for sure that doesn't happen with the old version and SR. To all: I've updated everything EXCEPT the USKP now. Will see how far I get but I should get done before the evening is out. Updating for the new USKP slowly in increments, please be patient. Mod patches updated so far (will update as finished): Clanking Armor Guard Dialogue Overhaul (Weapons and Armor section changes only) Better Skill and Quest Book Names (simply update) More Interactive Items Skyrim Coin Replacer SkyTEST Distant Detail Hearthfire Edition Consistent Older People Pelagius Wing - Unlit Candles Ars Metallica (No changes - waiting for Arthmoor to fix - requires script merge. Not a show stopper though.) Non-Essential Killable Children Bring Out Your Dead UPDATES COMPLETED. Link to comment
justjr
Take you time. I don't think my CTDs are related to the updates, apparently I missed some UNP optionals. I think they are quite easy to miss. Maybe you could make it more hard to miss? I would appreciate it. :) Maybe some of the guys having CTDs missed some optionals? Or it's only me? ps.:All in one Faces, it says 5.0b, but there's only 5.0a. Also it stats (4.0b for UNB), should I use both? 4.0b face pack for UNB AND 5.0a female vamp for UNB? Confused here. ps2.: I think I found it. I had installed all the DSpSoB mod without do the special installation, I see it has an skeleton there, LOL. Gonna delete it and run FNIS again. I renamed all mods that have special installation, like delete/copy/renamed folders/archives, with a post fix - Skyrim Revisited, so I know it's like you said in your guide, that way I don't get lost. *CONFIRMED, no more CTDs ps3.: Better Hands for UNP that also was updated recently I'm having a problem where the hotkeys of Race Menu and SkyUI do not respond, like Space to search, and more importantly, Ctrl to change light and Alt to zoom in Race Menu. But it may be related with a mod that is not from STEP nor SR. More Hotkeys Please, will check tomorrow. Link to comment

The author just mislabeled it 5.0a UNP and never fixed it... note that in 4.0 A = CBBE and B = UNP.  In any case you should download and use 4.0b package ONLY hence the parens. No need for the Dawnguard package because per my special instructions we're getting rid of the ugly bat face. Regarding ps2:  Yeah, skeletons will cause you CTD all the time if you get them wrong... very critical portion. Regarding ps3:  Fixed. Regarding Hotkeys:  It's already in the changelog as a note but thats a bug with SKSE 1.6.6... simply save character then reload save and use console command "showracemenu". All should work fine after that. For all mods using SKSE it requires a save and reload to start registering keystrokes. Link to comment
thalastwon
USKP update? Just when I got my Skyrim to be stable. I'll be watchin for the new updates. I just removed RCRN so I can try out the recommended ENBs. RCRN plus is amazing except during the day the snow is waaaaaay too bright. EDIT: Everything is up and running fine on my end. A quick question. Are you going to show how you go through the mods and check for incompatibilities at all? I know when this is finished, Im going to want to add Achieve that! To my modlist. Satyre
Two questions: #1 Do I have to run boss, then wrye bash and rebuild the bash patch every time I enable or disable a mod or is it enough to do so once I have all of the mods installed? #2 Do I have to set the priority in Mod Organizer manually? [FACEPALM] I think I found the root cause of a lot of my problems. - I forgot that both of my original skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini files were write protected and heavily modified. So SkyRev was trying to run with stoopid ultra settings. I restored the default .ini files, added the SkyRev tweaks along with a couple from the geforce guide. No problems so far. One interesting thing: When heavily modded and running ugridstoload=7 I can only start a new game via alternative start or load a game from an interior location. Ugridstoload=7 + Mods + Vanilla start = Game hangs. Now I'm going to keep adding mods and see how long it takes to break. Link to comment
dreadflopp
I haven't read the whole thread so I don't know if this has been mentioned. I'm not installing all your mods. At the moment I'm looking at the body mods you have choosen and I'm trying theese. What I'd wish for is some explanation as to why you have made the choiscs you have made regarding optionals with better males  for example and why we shouldn't install meshes from UNP. I haven't read the whole guide either but if that is consistent through the guide, explanations or discussions over optionals and why some files/folders from mods isn't installed would be nice. Theese are just suggestions. Don't bother if you don't like them :-) it's a great compilation of mods. Cheers! Link to comment
Satyre
@dreadflop. Because you are using the meshes from the UNP Blessed Body and only the textures from the UNP Body. If you look at the install order, you can see that the textures for the UNP Dimonized female body override the textures from the UNP Blessed body. The UNP Dimonized female body is then in turn overridden by the UNP Fitness body. Link to comment
