  1. my 2 cents for what they are worth, I didnt like this mod when used with ENB, it gave some weird FPS hit(s).
  2. I find it hard to parse what boris says half the time.. maybe thats just me.. so all the ENB's I like JUST updated to 212, then boris updates to 213.. will the enb's work with the 213? I ask becuse I dont see that I can download 212 anywhere.. hes really giving me a headache with all this. I'm about to just drop ENB all together and use only the memory boost feature. Does anyone have a set of the 212 binaries I could get from them?
  3. Ya, also if I'm not mistaken, Beth also changed somethings with the engine and how certain things are handled so I'm not entirely sure Bash will ever be able to handle some of the functions in Skyrim that it could with Oblivion.
  4. RCRN uses its own external .dll´s which ENB does not support. It might work, but it wont be optimal. Even less in the newer versions. ENBoost is implemented in all ENB versions from 200+ The only reason it has its own release is because it has a feature that disables all the graphics enhancements of ENB so only the memory functions are used. However it still requires the .dll, and hence have all the same issues you might have with ENB and other programs that try to access the game in the same way (certain monitor programs and OC ulitities). Try to mess around with the VideoMemorySizeMb value making it lower or higher piecewise and see if the problem persist. If you use AMD cards then DisableDriverMemoryManager should be set to true as it might also help. Finally then setting DisablePreloadToVRAM to false will help a great deal with ILS during load, since then the game does not have to wait for all textures to be loaded in before entering the game. It will cause increased stuttering though. Are you sure AMD cards should have DisableDriverMemoryManager to true? I was actually getting a ton of freezing and turning this to false solved it for me. I think it just depends on the user's system. Idk if it's AMD/NVIDIA specific. I have a 7970 btw. I too am getting great results by setting this to false, got 10+ FPS back, so I'm sitting at 38-40fps in a thick snowstorm, 45-48 when its not, the frames DO jump around a bit, but it doesnt make a perceivable difference to my eye in this game. I highly reccommend that anyone with an AMD/ATI card give this a try to see how it works on thier machine. I'm using an MSi twin frozr 2 radeon 7850 2gig card. on my memory I have tried it with 512 and 496, 512 gives better performance but 496 gives best consistancy. would also like to say that when intially transitioning to a new area that I have to wait a few secs, about 5-8 seconds before it settles down and locks in. my ENBlocal
  5. ESO is something I hope does really well, I played almost every MMO out there and the newest generation of them seem really disappointing. alot of them you can complete the campaign My favorite MMO was Everquest, I played that from launch till I think it was either depths of darkhollow or dragons of norrath came out, whichever was last. the monster missions while fun kinda ruined the game. Then I played WoW for awhile like maybe 2 years on and off? and it just wasnt EQ, seemed too easy I guess. Also, like phazer pointed out.. it took the RTS games away :( I blame the current state of MMO's on the new F2P model companies are migrating to. These models usually rely on "burst" income for the sake of instant gratification. Then once the newness of the game wears off and people see how shallow the game is, they leave. Also the amount of trolls in F2P games are staggering cuz if they lose thier free account they just make another one. Theres no repercussions for being a tool. During subscription gameing it seemed like the developers actually pushed content and the games had depth. there was alot of play time involved and the community while competitive were generally good natured and helpful to one another. Bans for bad behaviour or cheating etc actually meant something. Then again this was back when MMO's were new, the 4chan/goon community didnt exist, and developers cared about the games they created rather than the dollars they made. Perhaps I'm just old also ;) I truely hope ESO keeps a high community standard, doesnt fall into the F2P model, and brings forth the rich enviroment with the content they already have access to. LoTRO was kinda bleh, they had everything they needed to make a rich enviroment with alot of playability also but fell short on it.
  6. Or just start using Mod Organizer and create STEP backup profile, and save yourself A LOT of space on your hard drive... ;) I have 4Tb of storage
  7. I'm useing 350+ mods, among them climates of tamriel, I use PNENB's plugin with it, it does fine, if you install it via bash then it "shouldnt" cause any adverse effects if you remove it for some reason. If I'm not mistaken elfx is compatible with all of them so you "should" be able to stack them. I'll load that up in a second and let you know.
  8. also do yourself a favor.. If you plan on ever modifying your step install and if you have the room, make a second copy of your skyrim/data folder and just name it stepbackup or something similar. if you ever do something that messes up your step install you can always swap the folder then use the anneal all function in bash installers tab... for example, step is for stock skyrim improvement, but i use things outside its scope like body replacers, music replacers, custom made mods etc... so sometimes when trading out clothing or expanding my step install or just tweaking things it "can" get a little quirky... after you make a STEP install modifying it more and more till you break it becomes kinda an addiction rofl
  9. I second what Valamyr said... I went from a crash every 45mins or every second building change to absolutely no crashing at all. also would like to point out that PNENB is VERY lightweight and and very unobtrusive. it "can" be a little dark at times but aside from that I see absolutely no reason NOT to use this ENB as a general solution. I have noticed a very slight stutter, though i wouldnt even consider it a stutter but it is noticeable to me... its not consistant at all so im guessing this is due to the cacheing being at 512? if I lower this value can I just lower it or does it need to be in specific increments? Basicly I think dropping from 512 to 384 would be too aggressive. I think perhaps 448 would be more appropriete but am not sure if that slight amount would even have an effect
  10. LoL I play skyrim with a 360 controller... yes I'm a godless heathen.... so the rotation is something I have been doing since it released ;)
  11. aye kewl will do ty man... N I looked up your monitor I guess maybe it is 1440p.. television formats for definition arent always intuitive, 720p for example.. but 1440p is close enuff! LoL
  12. I can run 4k textures... for about 1hr or 2 in game miles whichever comes first but no seriously... I have toned back some of my texture mods and could use some help setting up an ENB if anyone has the time and wouldnt mind giving me a hand, just PM me if there are any volunteers. I am running mostly 2k textures now with some 1k's and etc and was hoping I could preserve my install if the ENB performance enhancer actually works, if it doesnt I have an alternate set of textures ready to go for testing already which lowers resolution again. ATM I am running 340+ with about 110 esp's, its a highly modified S.T.E.P. install but typically runs at 60 FPS everywhere. only issue I have is the 3.1 Gb limit which I'm very hopeful that this will fix. @aiyen by 1440p do you mean 1440p or do you mean 1440 resolution? I ask cuz I am running in 1080p which is 1920 resolution. on a final note, the matter of infinte load screens, a lot of my experiences and others i have helped mod the game get infinte load screens when they hit the 3.1 Gb limit, on a load screen it wont cause a crash it will just cause it to hang. this can be easy to do if you are at 2.4g ram then go into a building or etc and it loads a lot of newer non shared textures.
