  1. In the Change log for version 1.42, the FOMOD option "Modded Children Hat Meshes" was described thusly: "Renamed Xvision Children Hat Meshes option to Modded Children Hat Meshes as they can be used for any child overhaul mod including RS Children Overhaul." The FOMOD description says: "If you have a mod that overhauls children installed, fur hoods need to be adjusted to properly fit their heads." The STEP Guide includes New Children in section 2.H. Is this option needed for New Children? Also, in the mod's Description page, in the Compatibility section it says: "If using Immersive Citizens, the Go Home feature from Wet and Cold will be automatically disabled." Edit: and when I checked the in-game setting, it was indeed already turned off.
  2. Being a rather dense first-time STEP user, I had to go back four pages in this thread to convince myself that I did not need to perform whatever a Bashed Patch is while installing Book of Silence upon seeing that warning. Let me try to rewrite this so even I get it the first time I read it: Original: "Warning: The Bashed Patch must be used (instructions later in the Guide) when installing the Content Addon! Failing to do so will cause issues (e.g., naked NPCs)." Proposed edit: "Warning: Installing the Content Addon requires that the Bashed Patch be used. Those following the STEP Guide will be instructed when to apply the required Bashed Patch later on in the Guide. Failing to do so will cause issues (e.g., naked NPCs)."
  3. I do see that quite a few people who are doing extreme mods of the night sky are still using the star field from this mod, so I get why to use this. I also see that the Wonders Of Weather mod from section 2.J. adds shooting stars. But are there upgraded texture mods for the galaxy, moons, auroras and constellations somewhere in the STEP Extended mod set? If so, it's not apparent and I went looking.
  4. Does this mean we now no longer have to hide meshes/furniture/blacksmithingskyforgemarker.nif?
  5. To report a weird event I can't explain, and what fixed it: the first time I clicked this mod's "Install" button, MO reported in its log "no files in installed mod" and no mod appeared in the MO list. After some head-scratching, I simply repeated the install, and this time it worked. So if the mod fails to install, try again.
  6. Okay, I get it now, thanks! I'll just rename the Textures mod to "STEP Vanilla Optimized Textures - Standard" in MO.
  7. I've worked my way through the STEP guide to the point of installing the STEP Optimized Vanilla Textures. When I install "STEP Vanilla Optimized Textures - Standard-11-1-2.7z", the result in MO's mod list is rather unexpected: Mod Name: STEP - Skyrim Total Enhancement Project Category: Patches Version: 1.2 The version number is in red with a warning symbol, and the mouseover states: Installed version "1.2", newest version "2.2.9.2i" I see in the instructions for the STEP Compilation that "The installer will ask to overwrite the STEP Optimized Textures from early in the guide, it is recommended to give the Compilation a different name, so Mod Organizer will install the mod in a separate folder." This seems backwards to me. Shouldn't we be renaming the Textures part rather than the Compilation part? Or shouldn't the Textures just be coming with its own proper name? As a side note, it would appear that there is some confusion about Optimized Vanilla (the name the Performance version got and which is listed in the STEP guide) and Vanilla Optimized (the name the Standard version got). Is it SVOT or SOVT?
