I've been out on vacation for a while and just got back to the forums. What is the news on Boris' ENB 1.93? Does it actually fix the 3.1 RAM issue?? I saw a Reddit post with multiple users claiming that it reduced their RAM usage to like 1.9. Can anyone report?

Dx 11.1 isn't ONLY for 8? They made it work for 7 too? That's good news. I have a 7970 so it should be able to run dx 11.1.Â

I know Windows 8 allows Directx 11.1, which windows 7 does not? What does this actually bring to the table? Are games even dx11.1 right now?

Eh I think I'll just stick with CoT. The thunder noise is really good and from what you said, it has more variety too. Skyrim Sunglare I want though.

There's a similar workaround for Immersive Thunder, except you have to rename files and make multiple copies, so I didn't bother posting it. Oh nice. Thanks. I'm glad you posted this. I guess I was doing it wrong. I was just installing skyrim sunglare over climates of tamriel and assuming it was working. Woops! Does immersive thunder sound better than the sounds in CoT? How do I do this if I install CoT as loose files? Just replace the files in the sound\fx\climatesoftamriel folder with the IMST files and then rename?

Pretty sure you can use Skyrim Sunglare if you simply install it after CoT. It's only one file that is overwritten. I don't think you need to make a subfolder or anything. It should replace the correct texture.

It seems that two people have the same type of issue, right? I can't think of anything that would do that. Maybe a glitch or mistake with thundering shouts or something?

Author has a 1k version for those of you worried about 2k. Also, doesn't treesHD already contain ivy textures? Either that or SFO.Â

Is there any reason to upgrade from windows 7 to windows 8? I mean I don't really want to do it if there's no point. I was also under the impression that windows 8 was more geared towards tablet pcs and touch screens. Well if you have Windows 7 licenses then not really but eventually you will need to switch. I'm mainly switching because I'm running out of Windows 7 licenses with all the computers around here, that and my laptop has it so I'd rather just use one Windows OS and be done with it. It just helps if there are any problems. Windows 8 is more geared towards tablets (start screen interface at least) but once you get a start menu replacer it's a normal pc again and by it being made mainly for tablets it's much faster and lighter on resources. Sorry for the off topic I was replying to WilliamImm Do you have any specific information on its resource use compared to windows 7? I'm guessing it uses less system RAM to idle windows?

No I know 2.2.6 is released. I meant like will there be bi-weekly updates like a 2.2.6a or a 2.2.7 if we decide to remove/add a few mods here or there?Â

For STEP, this applies to Dual Sheath Redux, which will be installed downstream of this mod. Disregard this mod if that mod will not also be used. Dual Sheath Redux is listed in the "Fixes" section which is listed way before this mod. This description makes it seem like it is listed after.Â

I'm sorry. I didn't really know where else to put it. I feel like this is the only section that people actually check? This and the new mod suggestions :-/. You can move it if you'd like. Or another admin can. STEP doesn't seem to have an official lighting/weathers section. Is it in the works?

What do we think? Also, which mods play nicely together? For example, RLO + CoT and ELFX + CoT apparently work well together. I also throw in Skyrealism ENB Cinematic for the DoF/SSAO effects. RCRN seems to be a lighting mod and a weather mod in one so it wouldn't be combined with RLO or ELFX, right? What about an ENB?

How much more RAM does SR use than STEP 2.2.6.? Is it harder to stay below the 3 gb limit with SR?

Exactly. I don't think that there is anything MO does that WB cannot do (it is the other way around, really). MO just has a 'friendlier' user interface. Can I do Skyrim Revisited with Mod Organizer, or is that guide specifically tailored for MO?
