That means that the file was optimized..Also you can find tutorials on how to use the tool..but basically that it's it: click "head parts only" for face meshes unclick for the rest.. Again I come with the Arissa example: - I run nif optimizer with "head parts only" : Loading 'D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Mod Organizer\mods\Arissa - The Wandering Rogue\meshes\arissa\basepackage\_alpha_arissa_hair_singlebraid_base.nif'... [iNFO] NIF version doesn't match old Skyrim. Skipping conversion. [iNFO] Skinned mesh: Cleaning up skin data and calculating bounds. [sUCCESS] Saved file. -after this I run it without head parts: Loading 'D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Mod Organizer\mods\Arissa - The Wandering Rogue\meshes\arissa\basepackage\_alpha_arissa_hair_singlebraid_base.nif'... [iNFO] NIF version doesn't match old Skyrim. Skipping conversion. [iNFO] Skinned mesh: Cleaning up skin data and calculating bounds. [sUCCESS] Saved file.

Yes..most of the time.. and you don't need to untick everything just tick "head parts" and untick for the rest ..I also posted a video of Arissa SSE port to see a case where face parts are not located in facegen directory..a couple are located in "\meshes\arissa\basepackage\"...for something like this you need to run like in the video - like I said a few posts ago: copy the face parts to the directory where nif optimizer.exe is and run it..then overwrite in your folder..Anyways this is a rare case..

use head parts only ..normally are in \meshes\actors\character\facegendata. So you do first head parts only (copy nif optimizer.exe in that directory and run it)..next you can move the nif optimizer.exe in the meshes folder..it will skip the converted head parts in "meshes\actors\character\facegendata";)...That's why I posted that tutorial ...to see different "head parts" located in other plce than facegendata directory...

Yes..WICO alone without anything it's a great overhaul..just look at the character presets ..but the extra added to the skin and body section won't do any harm..Maybe add this too..see if it helps (should work for mature, wico, etc...) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8347 You can add EEO if you want too without much of a hassle,,but remember when making the CR to include the race edits made by it... On the merge thing...still don't understand how you didn't get gray/black face bugs since you have multiple mods with facegen unless you deleted those meshes (the combination should guarantee that)..but maybe you did something to please the divines :D

Maybe this tutorial can help you..An easier way is to first run nif optimizer with "head parts" checked ONLY to facegen data files (head, hair, ears, mouth..)...after you can run without the "head parts" on the entire meshes folder First, I too was skeptic about WICO, but you can use skin mods on top of it if you don't like the changes it make..so you can just add it in Massive Facelift place ..(who already needed something like the WICO script or AT quickchange to clear those edits and forward ussep, crf, endgame etc...like I said to much the hassle)...So you can use everything from skin and body section on top of it.. Posted a few days ago about it..works well :) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/15223?tab=files bonus..this version is dll only..so one extra slot :D

Installed Massive Npc Facelift..had to save plugin in CK(form43) also oldrim meshes(move the meshes and textures from followers.esp to Skyrim.esm, delete .tga)..Finally I've entered SSE to test the mod and wow..I forgot to run FNIS and everyone acted like the dolls from Westworld..lol..uninstalled So, I've a small point about the base of the NPC retextures section as massive npc seems to be too much hassle (form 43, oldrim meshes, animation bug..).. This is just a personal opinion..but for big NPC overhauls I would say 1.WICO,2.Diversity, 3.Inhabitants, 4.Massive Instead of Massive as a base I would go for a WICO with the cleanup script...better in every way imho ..Also an WICO+EEO combination as no other "apachiis" need to be installed (works well with Diversity and Inhabitants too So, for WICO: 1.install without useep patch 2.downoad hishy's cleanup script and install the stripped bsa and copy the script to your "SSEEDIT\Edit Scripts" 3.open wico-immersive people.esp along USSEP (and CRF if you want) run Hishy_NPC_RecordForwarding.pas on immersive people repeat for immersive character.esp Note: You'll need "mteFunctions.pas" (check in "SSEEDIT\Edit Scripts\" if u have it) EEO (optional): Just follow the guide , install the main patch and optionals if you need/want.. The only thing with multiple mods that alter NPCs faces in SSE is there's a big chance you'll get black face bugs even with merges, so better to keep .bsa I'm using Inhabitants, WICO(bsa), Diversity(bsa), EEO(bsa), Ordinary(bsa), Bijin AIO, Fresh faces (in this order and probably one more but I can't remember) with no bugs.

SSD: Skyrim, MO2, mods inside M02 (c:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Mod Organizer\mods\) HDD: MO2 downloads folder (e:\Skyrim mod downloads etc\Mod Organizer\downloads\) Don't worry about warranty..most of the brands offer at least 5 years/300 tb written(Samsung Pro has 10 years)...With my 850 Pro I've written 20TB in 2 years

I see I don't recall any warning from Wearable Lanterns but who knows I'm level 20 with my test character.. I agree with using something temporary until CACO/CCF/CCOR/WAFR are released..Prior converting those from oldrim I used SAFO then went for Harvest Overhaul+MLU+Ars Metallica and they did a good job..You could use those until kryptopyr releases them.. darkside got updated again to 1.71

Forgot about Skyway.i use it too..Initially I wanted something new and I tried Better Cites- Solitude but it conflicted with Better Cities Entrances + I didn't like the cow attending Roggvir's execution :)) For Whiterun, I was thinking to add the exterior market from ETaC + ICAIO patch.. but went for JKs+ Eli's...The Lair doesn't look bad :D
