  1. Basically you get two different results: If I: Load Mod A (in my load order) followed by: Load Mod B. Mod A changes a cell and Mod B reverts it back to original Skyrim, run Tes5Edit nothing will be cleaned. However, if I only load Mod B then the cell change will be cleaned (removed). I then later on introduce Mod A (and load it before Mod B) and run Tes5Edit, again nothing will be cleaned but the Cell will end up looking different than if I had left everything alone and not cleaned anything at all (which is what I wanted the final result to be - no change to the cell). The only way to do this for sure is to keep track of the mods I cleaned and the changes made. Unless I am missing something.
  2. No, you misunderstand what I am trying to get at. I have already loaded the mod (Mod B) and it's masters. Cleaned the mod of ITM's and UDR's and played skyrim with the Mod in my load order with no problems. The problem comes when you introduce a new mod (Mod A) that changes the ITM records that you just cleaned (and removed). I have no way of knowing this and now I can't see any conflicts (which I would have had I not cleaned Mod B) and I can't make an informed decision on my load order.
  3. I have searched for information on this and can't find anything. Was wondering if someone can shed some light: Say you have mod A that changes a cell in Skyrim. Then you load Mod B AFTER mod A and mod B changes the cell back to Default Skyrim (i.e. the end result is there is no change to the cell). Mod B does have an identical to master record but because you are loading MOD A before it TES5Edit does not report it and the record is not cleaned. This may be a good or a bad thing although it can be resolved by load order. However (and this is my real question): Say you have Mod B loaded in your load order. You run TES5Edit and it reports it as identical to master and you clean it, the change to the cell is removed. But, I play Skyrim, a new mod comes out I want to try. I decide I am going to start a new Character from the beginning and put this new mod in my load order (we will call it Mod A). I load Mod A before Mod B. Mod A changes the cell, it would have been reverted back to original Skyrim if I had left Mod B alone, but because I cleaned Mod B it won't be reverted back and I probably would never know because I'm not exactly keeping a list of all the changes made by Tes5Edit when I clean my mods. So, besides keeping a copy of the original mod and re-cleaning each mod every time I introduce a new mod, is there any other way around this?
  4. Does anyone still have this script? The link in the first post doesn't go anywhere anymore.
  5. On the Guide:ENB page it states: 'There is a helper library (enbhelper.dll) that allows edits to parameters for each specific weather in Skyrim. The helper is essentially an API that queries current weather information from Skyrim and applies variants of enbseries.ini parameters using external configuration INIs. These external configuration INIs will override conflicting parameters within the main enbseries.ini file for specific weathers. This allows configuration of, say, bloom settings to differ among different weather types. These weather variations can be very complex (one config per unique Skyrim weather) or very general (one configuration for only a small number of specific weather classes).' However, the helper library link is to mod '36318 - ENB Reference' which does not contain the enbhelper.dll. I have the enbhelper installed. Is this mod just for manipulating the already installed enbhelper? Do I really need it? If it is just for manipulating the ENBHelper then I would ask the information above be changed as it reads as if the link leads to the enbhelper.dll (or at least it does to me).
  6. I am comparing the NonEssentialChildren.esp with the Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp and TES5Edit is reporting differences in 2 quests. It looks like some changes have not been ported into this mods esp. The 2 quests are: Innocence Lost The Heart of Dibella. Do this need to be ported or should they be ignored?

  8. How about just installing the aMidian Blade of Woe after the Weapon DeLARPification Project? I prefer the aMidian Blade of Woe?
  9. Thanks for letting me know and also how to deactivate the error messages. I didn't know how to do that. Must admit though, so far the changes STEP has suggested have been great and I am dying to get to the end so I can fully enjoy the game. Not sure who came up with the concept of STEP but I wish they had been around when Oblivion came out (yes I am an Oblivion fan and minor Modder as well), I could have done with something like this when I was installing that game.
  10. By the way, until I hit aMidianBorn book of silence, there had been no problems. Easy to follow, install and everything seemed to be working great. Edit: Actually that is not completely true. The mod 'Consistent Older People' has to be deactivated in the right pane when running Skyrim for where I am up to in loading STEP. I haven't reached the BOYD yet, so a master file is missing. Obviously this wont be an issue once I get to BOYD and load it.
  11. Just so you know where I am coming from: I have a new desktop (I mean 3 weeks old) with Windows 8.1, I7-4790K Intel 4.0ghz processor, 64 bit, 32 gig operating system. 4gb Nvidia GTX970 graphics card, 2tb hard drive with another half a tb solid state drive (which is where Skyrim is installed). I have loaded my anti virus software, my printer/scanner software, Microsoft office, steam and then Skyrim (with creation kit). Adobe Acrobat, Flash Player and that is it. There is nothing else loaded. I then sat down in front of the STEP guide and have been slowly following it to get my Skyrim to the best experience I can get.
  12. May I ask why not use the load order I suggested above? Is there something wrong with it? Am I missing something?
  13. OK. But, just so you know - Loot loads CCOR.esp after the ambac.esp by default. I have not set up any metadata rule for either mod and the CCOR.esp is loaded after ambac.esp by Loot. This forces you to load CCOR in the left pane after aMBAC unless you ignore the error message(s) - which to me sort of defeats one of the nice features of MO (letting you know you have something wrong). However, if you follow the install order that I posted above then you get the benefit of the mods installing so that the meshes and textures that STEP is trying to achieve are achieved in the install order and no error message in MO. Also, you may want to put a note/message on the STEP page to tell the user that they can ignore this message or they are going to have the same problem I have had and could end up with their install order not matching STEP (as most normal users would be tempted to click the 'Fix' button in MO which then moves CCOR after ambac and thus loose the meshes that SMIM loads as CCOR will override them).
  14. Actually, I am still talking about the left pane. Try it yourself. I have CCOR loaded after aMidianBorn - Content Addon. I run loot. Everything looks good. In the LEFT PANE, I move CCOR up before aMidianBorn - Content Addon and I get an error: The conflict resolution order for some mods containing scripts differs from that of the corresponding esp. This may lead to subtle, hard to locate bugs. You should re-order the affected mods (left list!). There is no way to reliably know if each of these changes is absolutely necessary but its definitively safer. If someone suggested you ignore this message, please give them a proper slapping from me. Do not ignore this warning The following changes should prevent these kinds of errors: Move Complete Crafting Overhaul after aMidianBorn - Content Addon CCOR has to be loaded in the LEFT PANE after aMidianBorn - Content Addon. So yes installation does matter in the LEFT PANE as well as the right. And Loot makes the CCOR.esp load after aMidianBorn_ContentAddon.esp in the RIGHT PANE. Basically, if you are using Loot and MO then CCOR has to load after aMidianBorn -Content Addon in both the LEFT and RIGHT PANE.
  15. Then why is it plastered all over the place to load CCOR after AMB - Content Addon? If it doesn't matter then it really should be removed as I have been pulling my hair out on how to load this and I am sure other people will. Also, Loot currently has this sorted to load CCOR after AMB - Addon, which was why I was trying to get this to load after, and if you load it before then MO reports an error.
  16. I believe I have fixed my own issue, the load order should be: .... aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Dragon Born aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Armors aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Unique Items aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Weapons {actually the above order does not really matter as neither mod effects the other} aMidianBorn - Content Addon Complete Crafting Overhaul Static Mesh Improvement Mod Default Animal Replacement aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Creatures The aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Creatures is not needed by the aMedianBorn - Content Addon (and vice versa) so it can load after it. The only conflict then is three files in the textures folder for the Dragon Staff that conflicts with the aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Weapons. I compared the three files and they are exactly the same in both the aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Creatures and the aMidianBorn Book of Silence - Weapons, so not an issue. Also if loading the 'Addon Content' the Bonemold Hotfix is not needed as it is already included in the Addon Content. Yes I am referring to the left pane, so I guess I mean install order.
  17. I should have asked this question on the aMedian Book of Silence forum, I only found it a few minutes ago. Apologies for that and I have moved this question to that forum.
  18. I am confused on the order of loading the mods for STEP 2.2.9. First, according to the load order for STEP 2.2.9 Complete Crafting Overhaul should load before Static Mesh Improvement and then Default Animal Replacement should load after Static Mesh Improvement. The Static Mesh improvement replaces a lot of the content of the Complete Crating Overhaul (over 300 meshes) and the Default Animal Replacement also replaces a couple of the meshes in Static Mesh Improvement. Then the aMidian Book of Silence - creatures loads later, which then replaces some of the content in Static Mesh Improvement and Default Animal Replacement. Then the Content Add on for aMidian Book of Silence should load. But, The complete Crafting Overhaul needs to load after the aMidian Book of Silence. Thus as far as I can see you have a loop and the load order can not be resolved. Can some one point me in the right direction? Also, the following forum topic on loading the aMidian Book of Silence: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?showtopic=2678959 states that the 'aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp' should not be activated if loading the add on content. I see no mention of this on the STEP 2.2.9 page. Should this .esp be activated or not. I am thinking not if the author says not to, but I want to make sure. OK, I guess I should have reread the forum on Book of Silence, as it says to move the 'aMidianborn_Skyforge_Weapons.esp' to the optional window (basically removing it). But my first question is still valid. I am still not sure on the load order.
