Hi, little problem with the batch patch. After followed several video, they almost all show same process. So when my batch patch is finished, on MO2, I go to the overwrite folder, and have folder inside. So I create new mod, call him whatever I want, but the created folder in the left pane is greyed out, and if I point the cursor on it it says " contains no esp/esm/esl and no asset", and have a read button in the flag section..... I cannot find what is wrong !!

Hi there, I have a very strange and technical problem. I am following Nordic guide for modding Skyrim SE, using MO2. I have 126 mods install, 73 plugins only for the moment, and everything was fine until....now. I can still play SSE, but when I go back to desktop, MO2 will not close anymore. I suspect this after installing veydosebrom, wich done in the fomod something with my .ini. But not very sure because I installed about 10 mods before testing. Now when go back to desktop, have message "MO2 is locked while the executable is running", UNLOCK under this, and never stop. If I click unlock it is ok. What happen ??? The only strange thing is when I go for testing, I launch my game as always (SKSE64 trough MO2, everything well installed and running perfectly for 10 days now) and something happen with steam, and show me the game launcher panel again (set video to ultra quality). WHY ?? I am very upset now, because I can play but there is something not normal and I don't like it !! Anyone have a clue ? I make an attached file with montage of 2 screen with red writing on what I feel suspect. PLease help !!!

well, jsut back from the shop. Ask him replace thermal paste and change the cooling system (he install a better one). Now running aida64 I got between 83 to 86°c. I know he also overclock the cpu a little bit , should I remove the overclocking ?

Do you think this can be impact my game and be the reason of frequent strong but short lag ? Because when I check FPS, I got 60 almost everytime but just not when drop to lag.

Hi this morning I have run AIDA64. I check stress CPU and uncheck all others. CPU temp, core 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 are between 98°c and 100 °c all the time during the test! (It say overheating detected ) So I guess there is a problem there. My pc is new ( 8 month), but I did not make it myself, I just ask a shop do it for me. Do they make something wrong ? What should I do ?

About ini files, I have tuned it so much (accroding to different guide like STEP ans other tips on google), but as I tell on my message, '' when I disable the enb, I got exactly same fps. No gain.'' This is obvious. With or without ENB, I got 60 fps almost everywhere with strong drop every 10 sec.....Very boring !

well, thanks for the answer. I use around 200 mods (205 ?) , but this should be fine I think. I never heard about Thermal-Throttling !! I make research, and dicover it is a kind of option in the BIOS ? Here room Temp can be hot, I live in thailand, but today not so hot (25/30°c today). What should I try about Thermal-Throttling ? can you give me any advice ?

Hi there, I have an heavy modded skyrim (200 mods), Mod Organiser running, and everyhting is almost perfect, but my game is not smotth . With or without ENB (realvision) it is exactly same : I got 60 fps with strong drop to 30 for very few second, make the game lag strongly. it occurs every 10 second approximatly. Make it unplayable( or not fun at all) during fight.... I play on 1080 TI, i7 7700k, 16GB ram, monitor is 1440x2560.....should be smooth !! I add a file with the performance monitor capture, so people may help me about seeing if something is wrong. What is very strange, is that when I disable the enb, I got exactly same fps. No gain. Any ideas ?

Hi there, After modding SSE according to the BOSS guide, I had good times but the lack of mods makes me feel that Oldrim was slightly better ...and I have deceided to make another STEP extended + mods selection of mine to get ....the perfect skyrim ! But after some research, ..... I find this amazing website, wich give a very easy to install mod pack (between 500 and 1500 mods together up to the last version !!) all tweaked for maximum compatibily ..... It looks like a dream : very easy and fast to do, the hours of work (a week at least) that I can save with this makes me believe that there should be a trick....it is to beautiful to be so good ..... Well, I think I will manage to do it perfectly ( start in January infortunatly, but I am not in hurry). I start to modding about 2/3 years ago. I am 39 years old and NEVER do this before. When i start STEP installation, I didn' t know what I was doing really. I make many google search, and when i can' t find solution, i ask on this forum (or sometimes directly to the author on nexus). Now, after modding oldrim 4 or 5 times completly, and SSE 1 time, I am clearly not an ''expert'', but everything is more understandable, i know what I do, I spend time to read each mod i install, and my game is very close to be what I dream. So let's try a last time (never say that when modding), to get the PERFECT game. I really want to thanks the community here. YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING. Listening people, answer always politely for things that may be for you so stupid. I want to tell you that every time I get an answer, I was like ''whaou, those guys take the time to reply me, and help me'' and it really touch my heart I can tell you. I learn so much from this community. More than you can imagine. Keep on doing the good job guys, The world need heroes like you, really :)

Ok. But for the .ini files (they should be at the same places I think....) and specials programs lokes LOOT, TESV5 EDIT, Bethini that I ALREADY have in my SSE modded with NMM ??? I am afraid about the confusion between same files....

Yes, but i would like a ''fast switch'' solution to play from one to another when I want. For the pref.ini and the .ini it is easy to copy and fsat but archive all the game is too long....So I will try it install together. My disk space is actually 347GB and I think it is enough (for a STEP core + combats mods, some creatures and difficulty, some weapons armor.... all together around 30 mods I hope no more, but modding is always like bulimia .....)

Ok, you mean a kind of save right ? But where should I install the skyrim new folder ? Usually on a ssd, my C: drive, but I already have Skyrim Special Edition there. Can I put oldrim with it ?? Is it safe ?

Hi there, After several weeks of modding and testing the special edition (according to BOSS guide) I have a very nice skyrim, almost balanced, but I miss some features of the oldrim....I mean of course SkyUI (i don' t use skse64 for now), and I feel the phase during combat not so fun and not really stable....Well I want to try a new modding session of oldrim and compare. But the problem now is that I already have SSE on my C: drive (SSD), in a special place call steam library but with ONLY SSE inside. Then on my D: drive, I have my steam folder, full of games. So my question is : where should I start my new OLDRIM step session, and to be sure avoiding conflicts (specially with .ini and pref.ini....) I have use NMM for SSE. So I can use MO for oldrim. Any idea ?

so I think I have no choice to try it ....and see ! Next week I think to have some time to do it in good conditions ....I will let you know !

Hi there, and happy new year to everyone ! I have not played skyrim for nearly 10 month, and as I see the Special Edition realeased, I have decided to play again....! My last installation is old now, step 2.2.8 I think, and as I understand there is not a STEP guide for SSE yet. I just have a question : as I find this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2846/? on nexus forum and it looks like STEP for SSE, I want just to know if someone try it, and if it is close to step guide ? Or should I wait for STEP for SSE relaesed ? Thank you to anyone who have some clue ;)

Hi double you, I didn't know about TOEFIS, but after a look, it is really different than the ICBINE mod, wich enhance a lot of different aspect of lightning and make skyrim looks BETTER not WORSE hahaha

Yes the imaginator is here just to tweak by little the ICBINE. For mine I use warm Desaturation preset to 0.2. It is ok. I agree with the oversaturation done by almost ENB and Icbine too. But with some tweaking (up to what you like) it is ok. In fact the ICBINE 3 is amazing if you compare the result (to any other ENB) and the performance drop (almost 0). Because colors in vanilla skyrimis a big problem, ICBINE is for me the best solution, but not for everyone for sure. I loose so many time on trying different ENB.....

After remove any ENB because of fps eating, i have played with ICBINE 2 ( I can't believe it is not an ENB) for a while and it was great....but now, ICBINE 3 has been realease and it is better again !! Forget all ENB headache ( I have use realvision too ) teh result of this Non ENB mod is amazing ! But the cost is more amazing : 1 or 2 fps maximum ! here a screenshot ( I am not expert on this). Even with my GTX 970, playing skyrim as smooth as vanilla with ICBINE 3 is far better than run an ENB with a 20 FPS lost ! https://www.cjoint.com/15ma/ECuoZHwdTTs.htm I hope everyone who cannot run ENB without FPS issues will try it. FIXED, I totally reinstall the mod....and it works. I have an ESp available in optional esp on MO, but move it on available esp was not enough... reinstall everythind was the solution... sorry for disturb

Well, after some test : -unticking combat evolved and / or deadly combat doesn't change anything -wearing 2 pieces of heavy armor restore stamine is ok, but no more regeneration after the third one. -changing birthsign (complete character overhaul) don't help..... -[complaining mod on] I'm bored sometimes like skyrim is never playable again when you start to mod it too much [complaining mod off] -I love skyrim too much, otherwise I won't spend so much time too mod it....
