    This is how it started , Ive touched nothing , and I did follow the guide , before ,so to start uncheck everything ? No the thread is about no matter what I did MO would not start Fallout 3 , using MO. All unchecked ,just the Fallout esm checked , wont start All esm & BSAs checked , wont start

    lol I thought I'll wait for awhile , to see if others had come up with a solution , but I've been missing my wasteland , after been in space ( Elite dangerous) Yes , all have Admin' privileges, checked thats FOSE Fallout.exe , the launcher MO anything that has .exe This is how MO looks now https://i.imgur.com/hRclzoW.png https://i.imgur.com/Ni0T6Bl.png

    UPDATE just download the new MO and tried to get MO to launch fose or fallout 3 .exe ,nothing , still wont launch the game , Clean install no mods. But if I click FOSE or Fallout 3 .exe in Fallout 3 GOTY folder the game will launch, I still have the same problem , just cant get MO to launch Fallout 3

    By all do you mean Fallout with DLC , which is mine no mods install yet, but this did not work ,

    yes there is, check youtube for MO install, saw it there heaps of good tutorial, using MO

    Y Checked that , still when running FOSE from MO, F03 won't launch , its a hooking problem , FO3.exe just doesn't appear in process so game wont start

    I need a break from this, Fallout 3 and the karma it brings,:) thought going the MO way would make it easier in the long term , given using FOMM with my vast array of mods & saves, was trial & error , and thus any error would now be in my data folder, the hunt for leftovers ,not fun Which bring me to now, My setup is ready, mods, a clean install, but going back to FOMM and working out install order & then load order given what of know of the mods I use , doesn't inspire me at all. I can wait. I assume given this problem with FOSE is uncommon but not unheard off , its a Windows system fault , which means there nothing you can do. Having said all of that, as for my tone, it was short & sadly in line with my failing patience with this game too, but I will dig up the logs and post , shortly................... Don't panic have fun instead

    No overlays unchecked , don't use steam to play FO3. MO runs the FO3 launcher when it appears, Play will not work, unless I re-start the FO3 launcher as soon as it appears, via taskmanger then Play works , game starts so ini files are there. MO will run FO3.exe the game starts, but not FOSE from MO

    Nothing just what Ive been saying , the two guides I followed are the steam one, on Nexus , and the MO one. If clicking on fose in Mo not happening then its not hooking or staying in memory long enough same thing, , this my limited knowledge , given what's not happing , the fact the logs are different to normal ones should point to a clue , I draw your attention to above post where the tutorial is mentioned..why is this so :) ?

    No didn't work, Don't use steam Only once to get the ini files set. Steam is not running , don't need it, if I use FOSE to run FO3. I use FOSE , shortcut to launch and play FO3 , that works , When using MO to launch FOSE as said wont work, FOSE only sometimes shows up in Process , & only once did Fallout 3.exe appear in Process , but game still didn't launch All that happens is MO appears in Process , then terminates FOSE box briefly appears on desktop , but that's it..

    What ??? .... Its Steam , noidea what that's about, SO no-one knows why MO will not run FOSE . ok forget it , going back to FOMM close thread, wasting too much time.

    I think the problem you are having is related to the one discussed in this thread. NO it's not, all new people PLEASE read thread from top otherwise going around in circles I DON'T USE STEAM to play FALLOUT when YOU have FOSE. I have not mentioned STEAM OVERLAYS at all, IT FOSE not working though MO .. works fine by it-self , STEAM not even on when I play Fallout 3 For some reason MO will not launch FOSE & then Fallout I say again I can use FOSE by it-self to play FALLOUT , but then no MO.. Nothing to do with OVERLAY or STEAM , it's windows/MO hooks, conhost , ext something

    All third party software is install , I have been following the guide, ALL third party software is working BUT not FOSE though MO. I'm not in UAC folder as log files shows UAC is off, has been for ages don't use it. All software has Administrative Access checked .

    Yes all other 3rd party starts , If I click the Fallout Launcher in MO, steam , & then Fallout Launcher & the music starts , can use options , but clicking play nothing happens But if I re-start Fallout Launcher, via Process Explorer straight away, then clicking play works. this is how I got the ini files So ini reg setting are done . All the 3 files needed are there. RendererInfo FalloutPrefs FALLOUT.ini I can't use Process Explorer to restart FOSE when it appears, disappears to fast, FOSE It's in process for a bit then it's gone I can play Fallout 3 using FOSE , without MO. Other GAME launcher have the same issue (not all of them, only some) , they need to be restarted as soon as they appear , THEN they work.. Any logs you need let me know.

    Following this , https://wiki.step-pro...elmych/Fallout3 yes I have done all that I can do Following this , Have done the ini , for muiltcore As I have said , FOSE runs outside of MO ,, it does not run inside of MO , that is, when I click on the RUN FOSE in MO nothing happens As of the guide , I have not installed any MODS , because FOSE is not working yet. vanilla Fallout 3 files plus all the DLC
