  1. Daedric influence. I'm not sure it's this way lorewise, but it makes perfect sense to me. Like, the very first enchanter got his hands on a daedric item, disenchanted it and learned how to do it. That said, I do agree that the know how would have spread by then.
  2. 2=1;10=2;30=4;95=02=13=0.5 That means it's 1 per three right? I'm not at all familiar with Uncapper settings, but the ini is from SPERG so it shouldn't matter anyway, as none of the tweaks (Weight capacity gain from every attribute, not only stamina, for example) work.
  3. Not sure if I should post it here or not, but I think this has something to do with MO, so here goes: I have installed the Uncapper with MO. I also use SPERG, so it's a custom ini. Supposed to get 1 perk per 2 levels, I get 1 per level. Edited the splash line in the ini (through MO) back to 1000 to verify if the Uncapper even runs. No splash at startup still. Skse log shows this: Checking plugin C:SteamLibrarysteamappscommonSkyrimDataSKSEPluginsSKSE_Elys_Uncapper.dllplugin C:SteamLibrarysteamappscommonSkyrimDataSKSEPluginsSKSE_Elys_Uncapper.dll (00000001 SKSE_Elys_Uncapper 010F0020) loaded correctlyI kept reading that MO used to have issues with DLL fines, but all my other DDLs (racemenu, elys alt-f4 etc) work fine. Still, I thought what the heck, and tried adding the uncapper manually in the Skyrim directory. Again, edited the ini for the splash. No splash, still get 1 perk per level, same SKSE Log. Help?
  4. So, after my step installation, I have an issue of huge loading times. Performance is extremely solid (80/100 fps outside without VSync) but the loading times are huge. I'm talking 4 minutes + Now, in retrospective, after having figured what MO actually does, my initial thought of being smart and saving space by having mods installed in my regular drive instead of the SSD is not so smart. So my question really is, is there a way to safely move them to the SSD without even risking losing 2 days of mod installation?
  5. I've installed STEP Core 2.2.9. When moving forward and strafing, no animation plays for spell casting. Both channeled and fire and forget. The only mods that seem to have anything to do with animation are dual wield parry animations and the fix for turning around with dual wield. Is this a known skyrim issue? Will it go away with an animation mod? I'm asking because I haven't played without a total animation replacement mod for a long while. EDIT: Looks like I'm a complete idiot. I forgot to run fnis. Oh well, It's kinda embarrassing, but this should help in case someone else tries to find something regarding this issue.
  6. Hmm, so it's Skyrim realistic overhaul that is the culprit. Will that method on the sticky (using the console in game and TE5Edit to find said texture) work in order to replace only this particular texture?
  7. I did a really quick search on the forums regarding this issue, I couldn't find anything related to it. Perhaps it's because at this moment I can't describe it properly, so forgive me if it has been asked already. Some pictures as they indeed speak a thousand words: It looks like this particular wall draws 2 different textures, resulting in misalignment. Is this a known issue? Have I done something wrong? Only place I could find this is the farm outside of Whiterun. All of the small walls there have this issue. Now, I personally don't mind it, but after having spent so much time installing STEP, I'm afraid I will run into it someplace where it WILL bother me. Also, I'd like to take the opportunity to present another "issue" I have with Skyrim in general. That dark corner right there. I completely hate it. Why would a merchant have his wares stored in a dark corner? And the issue is in pretty much every interior in Skyrim more or less. I'm not using any lighting mod at the moment. Is there such a mod that "fixes" that? EDIT: Regarding the dark corner. It's exactly like that without an ENB as well. I just posted the ENB pic to look pretty :P
  8. Hmm, so using the 2.0 is not "recommended" I take it? I'd use the one recommended by STEP, but I REALLY want to use the optional Heavy Snow Pines, and from my understanding they require 2.0? I fell in love with them after seeing the picture :)
  9. Hello once more STEP forums. Yes, i'm installing Skyrim+mods for the nth time :P Anyway, I'm not really sure this is the right place to ask, but here goes: SFO has yet another update, V2.0. Should I use that instead of the version suggested by the most recent STEP guide? Is there any ENB incombatibility you guys know of? Thanks in advance.
  10. Ok, since I already have this thread, I'm going to post this here, as it's also about overwriting. Either I'm going crazy or I've done something wrong with the MO. It's telling me that USKP files are overwriting SMIM files. I have installed everything in the order the STEP guide is showing them, so I don't get it? Or is it supposed to be like this?
  11. Awesome! I swear I looked everywhere but somehow missed it. Thank you!
  12. I did a quick search, didn't find anything regarding this, and since you people are amazing thought I'd ask here. I admittedly am quite inexperienced with MO as I'm very used to NMM (bad habit I know). That said, I do know that MO's function is more like overriding instead of overwriting but still, is it possible to see what overwrites what? For example, If I install modx with NMM that contains the marthenil.dds file and then try to install mody which also contains that file, I get an overwrite error. Is there a similar function in MO? Technically, i know that installing a mod after another overwrites the same stuff, but when doing stuff like textures the sheer volume of files is making it hard to manually check for doubles. Thanks in advance!
  13. I know, but I wasn't entirely sure if there were any texture inconsistencies or anything of the sort by me changing that.
  14. Well, I have a very good rig and wanted to push it. As for other graphical mods, I doubt I'm going to add anything other than STEP and even if I do, it won't be flora related. Anyways, thanks for your answer. EDIT: Oh I will be using an ENB, does the regular version interact in a bad way? Perhaps that's why the basic is suggested?
  15. Not sure if this is the right topic to post this but, oh well. My new rig arrived, and I'm currently installing STEP. Step suggests installing the basic version of SFO but I really like the features of the Regular version. Is there going to be any issue with me installing that?
  16. It was just me being mentally slow today. I totally forgot to add the sounds of skyrim combatibility patches. I think it's working as intended now. Thanks for the replies :)
  17. UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=true that is on already, working on checking COT. Thanks for the replies. EDIT: Forcing the weather immediatelly changed the night to darker settings. On the other hand, I've waited in game 24 hours at least 5 times so I'm looking at a busted COT installation i presume? Or I need a new save (This is a testing save anyways)
  18. I'm really sorry if something similar already exists, I did a search on the forums and couldn't find something similar. I've been reading up walls of text for the past 3 hours trying to figure this one out. Now, on to the topic at hand. I never wanted to use an ENB. I find the COT+ROL combo to be just fine, and didn't want to stress my  already overburdened rig too much. That being said, after a new installation of STEP I was having some fps drops due to VRAM and all these texture mods. Everyone pointed out that ENBoost helps a lot with performance so I thought I'd give it a try. And it worked! (After some tweaks with the ini file.) My problem however is that COT doesn't seem to work. Waited 24 hours, tried the darkest night setting and still my lighting looks like vanilla (too bright). Also the weather doesn't seem to change at all. What I did notice is this  [WEATHER] EnableMultipleWeathers=false in the enbseries.ini (which ENBoost doesn't touch). The thing is i have no idea about enbs in general and since the Enboost author decided to avoid troubleshooting and I couldn't find something relevant on the mod page you guys are my last resort. Do I need to install another ENB for COT to work? If not what can I do about that? Thanks in advance for your help
  19. Hitting a hard wall with my limited scripting knowledge. What I'm trying to do is 2 lesser powers, one saves your current offhand, the other one equips it. It's a pretty crude way, I know, but I find the lack of any dual wield hotkeying mod sad. Some help from some script guru (It's ok you can answer even if you are not a script guru :P) would be awesome. Thanks in advance :)
  20. Apart from that, could i get your insight on CoT ? is the dawnguard "bug" fixed? :P Oh and that being said, even increasing the shadow size to 4k, they are still jagged albeit a lot less and the performance hit is too visible. Also shadow mask is not of much help unless its set to 7 (i think max is 7 right? ) in wich case though they still look like crap due to too much blurr :P
  21. Nope, default lighting, no enb
  22. The default STEP ones from the launcher, haven't touched anything else :P i.e 4 sample AA FXAA turned off
  23. After some testing (well not really testing, was just trying to get some screenies for you guys) I realised that it happened mostly on moving shadows. example:Â Â Sometimes though the shadows are plain bad:Â Regarding lighting, was considering using Climates of Tamriel along with RLO. Is CoT fixed for dawnguard? (The author has disabled comments on his mod and the description is outdated and/or vague)
  24. First things first, just finished installing the new version of STEP and I can't help but love the people working on it :D Anyways, on to the topic at hand. I want to use non-enb lighting for performance reasons mainly. I suppose the effect can be accomplished with a combination of mods. If so which ones do you suggest? Secondly, the shadows in this game are a real PITA. The whole game looks brilliant ( With STEP installed of course, otherwise, well, not so much :P) except for the bloody shadows. I use the high setting as suggested by the guide but the shadows are so jagged they burn my eyes most of the time. Any way to fix that without that much of a performance hit? Thanks a lot in advance, I do apologize if this is the wrong forum to post such questions, just woke up and couldn't think of a better place to ask them .
