Got the guide working, first time (for once! YAY!). The amount of work that has gone into this guide, I take my helmet off to all involved. All good, except is there anyway to revert back to the vanilla body or CBBE on my install? Because I'd like to use Practical Female Armors and its associated mods, which includes an Immersive Armors version. As someone who actually wears steel armour on a regular basis, the way women's armor is in this game I find very hard to put up with. I've done some poking around, spent several hours trying to figure out how to use Bodyslide to adjust the CBBE version of PFA to UNP. Because CBBE is a bridge. Apparently, my brain doesn't want to understand how to finangle Bodyslide, so I gave up. Tried slidersets, tutorials, the works. No dice. Changing the body used will be: Tedious, possibly. Messing up, most likely. Not looking for someone to do it for me, because I wouldn't learn that way. However, it would make myself quite pleased, and possibly help someone else trying to do similar things. (For my own notetaking) List of mods: Some proof of the wearing steel armour thing - https://imgur.com/gallery/hK5xoJ2

GUIDE Skyrim Perfectly Modded
ceilingrat replied to hardtroll's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I've just gone hunting on their website. Can't seem to find credits or permissions anywhere. I could be missing something, but it seems the modpack author doesn't have permission for alot of the mods. He has a message on his forums - [link removed] - looks like he might have some permissions "apparently" but I doubt it for several others. Checked a few - Immersive Armors, Frostfall and Campfire - All of these explicitly say in the permissions and credits bit on the nexus page, NO upload permission. There's most likely more. -

Thing is, this was on a Nord character. I haven't tested the beast races. When I have a spare moment in amongst work, uni, re-enactment combat (that helmet in my avatar picture is not for show) and gaming, I'll have a look. (Or it pisses me off enough.) -

Digging around in my head (memory isn't great), I had to fiddle around with the records for the masks. Specifically, the armatures. Improved Closefaced Helmets adds armatures for male Orcs, Khajiits and Argonians. It worked, though how to explain exactly how to do it, I've got no bleeding idea. I also remember having a devil of a time getting the Vahlok hood and mask textures to work. This time around, I followed the guide exactly when installing ICH, Apophysis and Kohnarik's Accoutrements. Krosis was invisible. Had to find the second armature ICH has for it and change the Krosis record. I'm putting off fixing the masks until I get to them in my current playthrough. (So far only Krosis, and that took longer to load in TES5Edit then to fix.) -

Those were the only ones I could find. Sorry I didn't respond to the posts after mine, sleep plus traffic control all day (gets bloody cold in the mountains - haven't unfrozen yet). -

Small error in the guide World - Lanscape and EnvironmentGroundUP - link name incorrect, URL correct The actual link points to the right page on Nexus, the author name is correct however the name on the guide is incorrect. -

If I'm barking up the completely wrong tree, could somebody please tell me? Okay screenshots Masks on display wall - https://imgur.com/PDKxKHu (Vokun mask sits a little high, worry about that later) Vahlok front inventory screen https://imgur.com/hjXeVlB Vahlok left side https://imgur.com/B5TsRK7 Vahlok back https://imgur.com/s5Bxgpp Vahlok right side https://imgur.com/nH46Qzg Vosis front https://imgur.com/S7I4vPn I have no idea if this is correct, doesn't look terribly silver to me. Vosis back https://imgur.com/3o4hktN And for something that appears correct Korthor front https://imgur.com/XkMBla3 Korthor back https://imgur.com/e9vlo06 Korthor uses MenDP_Stahlrim.nif & FemDP_Stahlrim.nif in the armatures. Which are Gallery_Patch...... -

The reason I mentioned the daedric helmet meshes, is because I was getting an invisible helmet. The horns are still somewhat asymmetrical. I almost never use daedric armour, collect it yes, use it no. Much prefer the look of ebony armour or dragonscale. I see about screenshots for missing helmets and whatnot. -
SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn

The ICH meshes for some the Legacy of the Dragonborn added dragon priest masks seem to be missing from the ICH Patches download. (or there's something odd going on.) I checked out the esp in TES5Edit for names of the mesh files and went hunting. Vosis mask: armor/dragonpriesthelms/MenDP_Silver.nif, FemDP_Silver.nif, KhaDP_Silver.nif, KhaDP_Silver_F.nif, OrcDP_Silver.nif, ArgDP_Silver.nif, ArgDP_Silver_F.nif. None of these exist. Vahlok mask: The meshes are there, so the mask and hood appear, but the hood looks like it has masktexture.dds applied to it, so it looks completely weird. MO2S & MO3S - Alternate textures: 3D name drgaonhood (not a typo on my part), New texture: Vahloktexture, 3D index: 1. Texture set xx000817: Vahloktexture TX00: Diffuse: armor\dragonpriesthelm\masktexture.dds, (this exists, along with its _n.dds and _m.dds)(in Legacy of the Dragonborn) TX01: Normal/Gloss: textures\armor\dragonpriesthelm\DragonPriestHelm_n.dds (this doesn't exist) -

FYI, TMB Vanilla Armors has meshes for the Daedric Helmet in it, and it overrides Improved Closefaced Helmets. None of the other helmets are in the TMB Vanilla Armors archive, so I'm thinking the author might have forgotten to take it out. Easy fix, hide or delete the daedric helmet meshes from TMB Vanilla Armors. -

It's doing this again. Twas working before, now it's not and I have no idea why. Could a game update do this? However, fixed. Did the steps as before - -delete everything in AppData\Local\Fallout4 -run game through Steam, exit when in main menu. -reinstalled downloaded (UFO4P) mod through MO2, hit replace. -run FO4Edit, hey it works! My only excuse is tired. -

Back to the land of warm, yay! (9 day holiday in chilly Melbourne) Me again, had everything working perfectly before I left, and now FO4Edit is doing that thing where it can't find the ini. WTF? After I redid everything per the guide, and all good, it goes and does this? NMM has been gone from my PC since the big reinstall. Checked the "..\Users\Kelten\Appdata\Fallout4" and had a plugins.nmm.bak file plus plugins.txt. Deleted the nmm.bak file, tried FO4Edit, no dice. Got rid of plugins.txt, tried FO4Edit, no dice. What the hell? I haven't reinstalled NMM, so I have no idea what's going on. -

Thing is, it worked before, doing the symbolic link and everything, nothing wrong, even FO4Edit worked. Then, next day, nope, not working. I'm happy to be example of why uninstalling everything and starting again is a GOOD idea. -

Aaaaannnnnd.... DONE! The little icons are back! Oh, I missed you, little icons! And for some reason, everything's prettier............ Only had to redo everything from scratch, oh no, couldn't be easy. Small recommendation - if previous modding and whatnot exists for FO4, nuke and pave, nuke and pave first, not third. Would have saved me a buttload of time and frustration. -

Hadn't touched the xml files. I had the above problem, then FO4Edit started playing silly b*ggers again, cue RAGE! Gave up, backed up profiles and some patches, uninstalled MO2, cleaned out Fallout 4 game folder except for the big files, and I'll start again. -

Minor, annoying niggle. In the HUD, I'm getting '{Scrap} Duct Tape{{{Adhesive, Cloth}}}' instead of '(Scrap) Duct Tape' and below it 'Adhesive, Cloth'. There's no icons replacing tags in item names anymore. The rollups in the Pip-Boy inventory are no longer there. (Where things would be grouped into a subcategory eg. Notes in the Misc tab, Grenades in the Weapons tab.) It still happens on a different profile and a new game. That profile only has UFO4P, AWKCR, AWKCR-UFO4P patch, DEF_UI, Val's Item sorting and Another Life, all installed per the guide. I read through the Nexus DEF_UI page, and it's possible the 1.7 patches broke that functionality. The mod author has released the source code and won't be working on it anymore. Is there something I can do about this, or do I have to put up with it? -

Deleting the contents of the ...\AppData\Local\Fallout 4 and following the instructions has worked. MO2 now points to FO4Edit in ....\ModOrganizer2Data\Tools\FO4Edit and sees the paths and the vfs. Thanks muchly for your patience. -

Steam install E:\Games\Steam - Never been anywhere else on this PC. Fallout 4 install E:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4 - Never been anywhere else on this PC. MO2 install E:\Games\ModOrganizer2 - shifted from a portable install inside the Fallout 4 folder. FO4Edit version is 3.1.3 7e81da1. FO4Edit installed in E:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4 and run from MO2 - works perfectly fine. FO4Edit installed in E:\Games\ModOrganizer2Data\Tools\FO4Edit and run from MO2 - it can't find a thing. What I have works, so I'd rather not change it. However, much headscratching has ensued trying to figure out why it doesn't work outside the game folder. Call it annoying my sense of order. -

No c:\program. First fix, doesn't work. Second fix, can't change permissions properly. Third fix, I'm not reinstalling all my mods for a third time. Possibly down the track. Tried the redownload and reinstall, nope. FO4Edit downloaded from nexus. MO2 is a copy downloaded from nexus, game is legit copy, activated on Steam with all the DLC (Season Pass). Steam user name kalshaiman. I've got FO4Edit in the game main folder, point MO2 to it. FO4Edit works fine from inside MO2 and sees the virtual file system. I try and use it installed outside the game's main folder, running from MO2, no luck. Is there an argument I can use for the executables in MO2? Or shortcut command line thingie for FO4Edit.exe?
