The author "Isoku" "Does your game freeze when a spell is cast with this mod installed? Try one or more of the following. 1. Switch to a lower resolution version. 2. Try one of the alternate esps under "Optional Files". 3. Uninstall texture mods you don't care for (which includes this one) to avoid the 3.1 GB limit. 4. Remove the esp after installing the mod so that it turns into a simple texture replacer without the features listed in the description."

Its a bug in Wrye Bash, A workaround: moving the file out of the Bash Installers and dropping the file installers tab. -
ACCEPTED Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM (by Brumbek)

SMIM 1.50 looks like its formatted for BAIN, but the package is grayed out. Package Structure: -
Almost perfect game, except for a few issues.

Thanks for all your help. I appreciate it. Yes, I'm talking about repacking the BSA's at the lowest compression setting possible. My theory is CPU time to uncompress substantially large BSA files contributes to cell transitions micro shuttering. Micro-shuttering does not contain frames per second drop. An SSD will most likely reduce FPS drop, but not micro shuddering during cell transitions. I will defer to the wiki to read more. Take a look at this pic The textures look almost the same except for the light and dark contrast which isn't a shadow or lighting issue. This picture highlights two rocks with snow on them, one on the right one on the left. The rock on the right fits the surrounding textures fabulously. On the left the snow texture on the rock looks low-resolution and washed out. I point these things out, hoping to find a solution, but if there isn't, that's fine. I'll probably repost this in the Bethesda forums to get more eyes on the things I pointed out. More people that see this, the more likely I'll find someone with a mod suggestion or something of like. -

I could be wrong but I don't think uncompressed BSA's are loose files. You guys have any suggestions for blurry flat road textures as seen in the mid-far portions of the road screenshots? BTW. It looks like there's two different snow textures. -
I just wanted to thank the Step Community for creating such a wonderful project. It used to take days to create a stable mod base to build off of. The step community has shortened that process to 30 minutes. Thank you! Currently I'm running over 170 ESPs 60 frames and so far stable. I've modded nearly every aspect of the game that I would like to accept there's a few issues that I need to conquer. Then I can start live streaming. My setup is perfect, except for snow seams (1 2 3 4-ice surrounding Berg too blue), Indoor lighting issues (Video) Fixed, and Bland Road textures at mid and far distances and 3 road seams(1 2 3 road seams). I'm using ENB, but its not shown in the screenshot or video due to a incompatibility with my streaming software. I'm running full Step setup. Other mods include: Realistic Lighting Overhaul 4-0-6, Enhanced Lights and FX 0-1-6, Climates Of Tamrie Final, and many others that are not relevant to this topic. As a side note, I do get a massive frame rate drop between cell transitions. I suspect that's due to having six-year-old hard drives that are near death. I will soon be upgrading to a terabyte hard drive but if I had a SSD and uncompressed all the BSA's would that help? System specifications Active Mod Files: Skyrim.ini PrefSkyrim.ini

This issue is resolved. Switching from Deadly Spell Impacts high to medium completely cleared up the issue. My system is not graphically overloaded considering I have 670 4GB edition with an intel 2500K. If you look at the patch notes, you'll notice that they have had previous issues and I discovered the fix through Bethesda forums and through past experience with the mod. Thank you and I hope this helps other individuals.

Hello. I'm new and I really do need some guidance
zone22 replied to Kontankarite's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Let's try to identify your bottleneck. ENB/gpu or something else . I recommend using "Skyrim performance monitor" It gives a wonderful break down of performance. Run it with without and with ENB. Then post screenshots of its readout after you played a while. -

I understand even running a 670 ENB's take a hit. Give a try with "Phinix Natural ENB" It's gorgeous, but it all depends on your tastes. Second may I suggest an alternative "Realistic Lighting Overhaul" -
First of all I want to see what a wonderful guide you guys have set up. I appreciate all the effort in love with this project has given. It really shows in the quality of work. I've been experiencing freezing when using Fire spells such as Flames. It happens. start/mid spell and can be triggered by NPC's or myself. It's pretty random, but consistent. Here are my suspects. The man asked for a link and I gave it. Apologies for trying to be helpful. Second, as of STEP v2.2.0a, which is on Nexis. It uses texture combiner. I'm just following the wiki https://wiki.step-project.com/Texture_Pack_Combiner As for viruses highly unlikely. Considering it's been scanned the death from four different AVS providers. That being said it still needs be hosted on proper site which most likely won't happen in the foreseeable future. btw, thank you for taking the time to create/maintain the STEP project.
