I am using a mod called "Quiet Molerat Footsteps". It's really good, no more loud footstep sound. EDIT: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/12436/? Just a suggestion.

I got some strange problem. I installed Fallout 3 mods according to the guide. But when I start the game no mouse cursor is showing up. I'm using Windows 8.1 and Game Companion for windowed mode.

:confused: Well, it seems I have a problem with FNV 4gb now. When I start it in ModOrganizer, it fails to start. Error: Failed to write to memory of child process. Access denied. I saw an tip here on the forum to add an argument to the 4gb shortcut in ModOrganizer "-laaexe .FalloutMO.exe". But that tip doesn't work. I'm using Windows 8.1. Help!

Very good modlist. But I'm missing the BOSS Userlist recommendation.
