  1. I see that Grantyboy is in the final stages of putting out V2.4 of ICoW and Sku11M0nkey will be updating his patch so that Winterhold_College_Improved will work together. Apparently they were compatible a few versions ago. I've never used it but there seems to be a lot of talk about how good both mods are together. Has anyone used WCI? Do you think WCI will become part of REGS?
  2. That is a nice looking mod. I am curious though if you have tried Perseids full version? Because if you are looking for a more immersive extra room feel Perseid already does that plus a number of nice touches across a lot of inns in Skyrim. I've never had any conflict with other mods. The only downside is that I haven't been able to experience the ETaC inns.
  3. I'm curious if anyone has tried Rochester World Modder Resource? The mod author has spent 3 years developing this mod. But I don't think there are any associated quests. But not sure? p.s. I know it is listed as a modder resource but I believe this is because the mod author recently finished with the mod and has donated it to the community.
  4. ? Oblivion Realm Series. Should I wait until I complete part 1 (Gates of Solitude) before downloading part 2 (Morthal Pain)? I'm loathe to read up on it in case it contains spoilers. Edit* I just saw that their is a ChaptersLinker esp. I imagine this means I can activate both at the same time and they will play in order? ? Undeath. Will this work fine with Immersive College of Winterhold? Thanks.
  5. I just wanted to stop by and thank you for a great guide. After 3 months of playing modded Skyrim my load order was getting ridiculous with mods that I never used or really needed. eg. spells I never used, potion overhauls (i don't even use potions!), followers (never use) and things like auto-unequip and locational damage plus armors I've never worn, etc. Well I had a big clean out and they are all gone. What's left is basically STEP REGS. My mods are aesthetically pleasing with new villages and quests. My Skyrim looks fantastic but is a dangerous place. So thanks CJ (&co) for the guide. I really appreciate it.
  6. I still use Dawn of Whiterun with all of the other REGS Whiterun mods and have no issues at all. So I guess if your setup can handle it then go for it.
  7. Yep, prior to installing SSME (as per Noobzor's recommendation) travelling to Dawnstar was an instant CTD for me. Also make sure you are running the latest version of ETaC as it was rebuilt in 11 and might be less intensive.
  8. I checked it out last night and could find no mod conflict with REGS and tpos Solitude. Both work together nicely.
  9. Yep, just as CJ said they are incredibly FPS intensive. I've got a fairly good setup with 4GB VRAM and normally never notice any FPS loss. With these mods I was averaging 15-20 FPS and that was with the light version! Granted I have HD everything but I am afraid they are no good for me.
  10. @cstarkey. Thanks. I've actually got that and tried to merge a few mods but couldnt get them to work. I don't know whether I should be uninstalling, unticking, deactivating, deleting, disintegrating my merged esps / mods, etc. Plus unpacking bsa's has me flummoxed. Maybe I started with some difficult mods by mistake. Noobzor has kindly given me some tips but I think I will be forever stuck at 255 mods. :( Oh and people mention bashed patches and wyre bash, etc. I understand what they are meant to do but I wouldn't even know where to start.
  11. @cstarkey I didn't notice any conflict with tpos Solitude. I'll check it out more closely tonight. The mod adds tables, clutter and 9 NPC's around the outside of the Winking Skeever area and Temple. REGS is mostly Solitude exterior plus some great shops near the Hall of the Dead. I dont use tpos Riverwood. My Riverwood looks like the capital of Tamriel. I don't need any new NPC's there. tpos Winterhold aka Abject Poverty will completely clash with ETaC so that is out as well. I tried Bandits but with esp space at a premium I think this is covered well enough with Immersive Patrols. I use tpos Whiterun merged (Warriors, Coin and People), I really like this simple mod(s), tpos Dawnstar - just updated today with building interiors and now tpos Solitude (again).
  12. I agree with you. I must say his tpos Solitude is quite good as well. I had removed it to save esp space (i must learn how to merge) but Solitude seemed a little barren without it. In fact my Bannered Mare and Riverwood are busier than Solitude come to think of it. So I've reenabled tpos Solitude. While we are talking about Nesbit he has pumped out a dozen mods in a month! He listens to feedback and is constantly improving his mods and skills. Currently they are small but mostly well thought out. His goal is to connect all his mods building social relationships across Skyrim. Worth taking a look.
  13. I agree those mods look really good. The Bridge Overhaul mod is particularly good and is exactly how people used to trade in medieval Europe. It also makes perfect sense as Windheld's walls really limit the interior space, so of course they would spread out onto the closest available land, er bridge. But as dastrokes points out it will clash with better city entrances. Altough from memory they add structures above the bridge, so it could be ok. I think I'll test this one out tonight. Thanks for the heads up.
  14. Apologies if I am breaking protocol talking about mods outside of REGS. Nesbit has just added a new tpos_dawnstar which adds a full argonian fishery to the NW shore of Dawnstar. Fully ETaC compatible. I am amazed that he found any room left in the city!
  15. I absolutely agree with this. ETaC is just getting better and better. I've only been playing modded Skyrim for 2 months now and think about the ETaC changes in that short time. Winterhold added, EWDR compat, removed, updated and added again. Dawnstar slimmed down. Falkreath trimmed down. New textures all round. Patches everywhere. CJ and Jenna are amazing!
  16. I'm about to add Fight Against the Thalmore to my play through. Quick question should I add them all (1,3,4) at once or complete 1 then install 3, etc. Also I would like to download Granite Hall and Sea of Ghosts but they are on Steam. The STEP download instructions are only for MO and at this stage I am still using NMM. Any advice? Thanks
  17. @EssArrBee Thank you
  18. Thanks eLOCC86. I purchased Skyrim Legendary directly from Steam - so no disks. That's kind of what I am trying to figure out. Do I really need to uninstall Skyrim and the DLC's and re-download? I am also less inclined to go through the ENBoost operation again. Everything is running perfectly. So why reinstall. Thanks for the tip on moving / copying the contents of the NMM folder - this is the info I was looking for.
  19. 5 Stars to you EssArrBee. It is Dali! He once gave a speech on stage and the entire time he had his right foot in a bucket of milk. Gotta love that! Can you please tell me. Is it possible to swap over to MO and then upload all the files I already have in my data folder? I'm happy to start using STEP but the thought of downloading EVERYTHING again is kind of offputting. Thanks
  20. I've been playing modded Skyrim for 6 weeks and by cooincidence have 90% of the STEP core mods already installed through NMM, and everything is running perfectly. I've only just been introduced to STEP. STEP looks really good but I'm not excited by the idea of deleting everything and starting again with a fresh install (as per the guide). Will there be much benefit to me installing STEP & MO and starting from scratch? Will I end up at pretty much the same point? Thanks.
