  1. Doesn't matter either way. I prefer to do it at the end, before doing the Bashed Patch, but after the Merges. Also doesn't matter if you merge them with the masters reordered, either.
  2. There might be new additions, but I'm not rushing into them cause of string count like you said for the main. Plus they need to either do something better then what we already have, or mod something we don't already mod. The other thing is that we'd really like people to play through to endgame with this guide a bit before we go adding too much more. Else we'll just end up in the old cycle of continually redoing the mods we have added, getting to Whiterun, seeing a new shiny mod, adding it and restarting again. :) Hence the slowish pace of new BIG additions. The occasional small tweak will get pushed along quicker.
  3. Don't wait. It'll be more than a week. Alternatively get everything installed as is till the merges and then wait for stuff to get done. SOme of them should be in in a fortnight or so.
  4. That's because you need to merge those two esp's into a single one with the ELE_Legendary_Fs_Lite.esp. Then you activate that LOOT rule. EDIT: I have the guide reinstalled again....
  5. I could get behind that. Ie removing Grim Grass. (BTW am about half way through reinstall. Game ran like silk in full vanilla when I checked and my other games like XCOM2 look and run great too.)
  6. Not yet, and it wont be a 'guide' as such. It'll just be another linked page with possible different options to consider if you'd like to change the guide as it stands. When I have the whole guide re-installed... again. I'll be looking at this.
  7. The (sorts) New Machine is alive, can connect to the internet and has Windows 7 and Firefox on it. Now to sort out the Steam Installation and a few things like update drivers etc...
  8. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35678/? Replaces all the default Breton presets with new ones. Have used it in the past and it looks pretty good.
  9. No need to apologize. Getting mods known is never a bad thing. Thanks for the suggestion all the same. In other news my parts have arrived literally already today (It's 6.30 Am in my part of Straya. The courier lives in my street anyway. Not what you know, it's who you know. He said he'd have delivered them Thursday but he knew I was away for Easter). So I have a job to do. New Mobo, processor and memory, plus case fans and maybe a re-imaging of Windows 7. Might be a good time to do a full cleanup of stuff I don't use anyway.
  10. Lexy is right it's purely post number and most forum software packages use them. They can be a bit confusing at times.
  11. I'd sooner not add mods that require a large amount of fiddling for just one start option. If people want to use it, them fine, but it won't be added as a guide option.
  12. There is. You just don't update during a playthough. I never do. Finish and then update. Start again.
  13. Junk: I didn't respond cause for some strange reason every time I tried to read it I got 503Ed. But looks like people have helped.
  14. Nope, but next time it happens: take a look at this thread: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/502060-how-to-put-clothes-back-on-naked-npcs/ and there's a couple of options that may force them to reclothe.
  15. Excellent, Excellent. We may have to move this one up from the Redshirts. :D (Lets see who gets that reference...)
  16. The courier in his undies is definitely not right...
  17. Have added a link to GamerPoets video on the Merge Plugins tool. Yes the video's 3/4's of an hour long. So what? I don't apologise for it. If you can't understand the WHOLE operation of the tool after viewing that, I doubt you'll ever pick it up.
  18. Nope. More than enough videos around. Link to the best one of those if you must, but I'm not adding what should be easy enough to find elsewhere. EDIT: Have added a link to Gamer Poets VERY extensive video on the tool. Yes the video's long, but it's very extensive and if people can't understand it after that then I'm afraid I cant help them.
  19. We install FISS near the end of the guide so adding those at the end should be fine assuming Nebulous is correct with his post above. And that patch Lexy suggests makes sense too. Smaller stuff like that should be fine to add. Make it so :)
  20. I have a new mobo, processor and memory on order. Plus new case fans cause I replace them every 12 months or so anyway. What I have works OK now for basic stuff like forum surfing but I'll crash at strange times. Just not reliable enough. Should be back and kicking goals in a week or so.
  21. Unfortunately that's sometimes the way of the world. What you can do is look at what's losing and make a judgement call, checking to see if the edits other mods make will work. If so you can just pick and drag that particular record over to your CR patch and essentially combine all the edits you want. The take home is not everything HAS to be green. If that's what you're trying for, you'll be unlikely to ever achieve it.
  22. I actually agree with you on the textures. I do like the idea of the mod though. That's why I was keeping it in the list of possibles and when it improves will look further.
  23. That's standard procedure when using Merge Plugins anyway. I don't see why that's required to be added already. We've said before that it's an advanced modding guide and we're pre-supposing some previous knowledge and some small amount of familiarity with the tools being used. To some extent it's up to the users to do some background research on how to use the tools.
  24. There's a post on Lost Grimoire of Skyrim saying the same thing and suggesting it's an ASIS issue... "Manifest fears cause ctd when fears attacks enemy - it is problem with ASIS.Can anyone share with me proper asis ini config to make this mod work right" No reply to it so far as I can see. EDIT: A user named Dekky suggests the following: Checking the mod with TES5 Edit I discovered that a spell referenced by xFearDog "Terror" known as xabFearDogBiteSpell has a null value for it's base effect. Might be the issue. EDIT: I believe I managed to fix this bug by copying xabFearDogBite MGEF over the null value using TES5 Edit. Note that I've not checked this, but if someone has a working machine, please check this and see if it's the case.
