So this weekend I spent about 20 hours in testing with FL:NV + AWOP. Before you ask, the family is out of town, so I have way too much free time. With my very limited knowledge of modding and mod integration, I have managed to include AWOP on a fresh profile in Mod Organizer (MO) running FL:NV. I wish I had a lot of feedback that the big-brained modders could use, like cleaning and bashing, but all that I can really say is the AWOP plays nice with FL:NV. I have had exactly two CTD's (both were during large firefights in AWOP's internal cells) and other than that I can only think of a few other problems that I am fairly certain are mod-related. These two issues are not even AWOP related, as they were present before AWOP integration. Firstly, the heads and bodies of NPC's do not match color-wise. I am sure this has to do with an incorrect overwrite somewhere. The body types are fine, there isn't an issue with skeleton replacers. For example, I killed a raider the other day and he was a suprise black guy! White head, with an black man body. What I think might be related, is there is this tiny polygon thing that floats over Willow's head. I can send you pictures later, I am currently at work. Sortomatic seems to not like some of the items when added to the Master Sorting Computer in Afterschool special. Upon returning from REPCONN to unload some loot, I noticed that my entire stored inventory had disappeared from their containers and the items were nowhere to be found! I reloaded an earlier save and the items returned. As a quick-fix I simply manage my own inventory, as it seems that every time that Sortomatic glitched, it required a game restart to fix it. Lastly, I cannot see any of the guns sold by Vendortron tagged as (GRA). Maybe it is by design and one of the mods in FL:NV alters this. I have seen / found (GRA) weapons however. Is there some mod that alters this? To clarify, (GRA)-style mods and weapons are in game, but isn't Vendortron supposed to sell them?

Installing PN: Extra Options through FOMM via MO problem
FamousDeadGuy replied to FamousDeadGuy's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
There is a Bash Patches directory, and a Bash_Groups.csv and taglist.txt in there. I really don't understand why it would just disappear. I tried to rename the .txt to .esp and it didn't work. The game starts up just fine, but I am sure that wont continue without a bashed patch. Is it possible to make another one? EDIT: Too early to tell, but I MIGHT HAVE ACTUALLY FIXED IT. O_O I grabbed the blank bashed patch,0.esp from the mopy folder and then rebuilt the patch inside of Mod Organizer. Hold on to your hats. It would seem that the bashed patches are shared across profiles on MO, is this true? O_O EDIT Dos: Monologue Continuation. So, I am fairly certain the issue somehow came up because the patches are named the same thing. On my "Vanilla" F&L:NV install the file is named: Bashed Patch,0.esp. When I tried to make another profile to add AWOP, I rebuilt the patch with the same name. Is there a way to have separate bashed patches? -

What would cause the Bashed Patch,0 to disappear in Wrye Flash? EDIT: I looked through my .../Mod Organizer/mods/Bashed Patch... folder and it would seem that my Bashed Patch,0 has become a text file. All that I did was copy the fresh FLNV profile and add three mods on top - AWOP 5.01, AWOP Balance and Cleanup, and AWOP-WMX-EVE Overhaul. Then I sorted with BOSS and ran Wrye Flash to rebuild the bashed patch. For some reason I clicked on the three new mods inside of Wrye Flash, I think that may have been where I messed up. Now on the FLNV profile, the Original Bashed patch is gone now too. -

10 Hours played so far, runs great. I have to say, it is very well balanced. I miss AWOP too much, so I will make a copy of the fresh install and see how the stability is. Thanks for the support during my noob-level install! :) -

Does anyone know where I can find a mirror for ALR? I came back from work today and on the nexus it is still "being scanned for viruses". -

I removed everything and went back to Darn UI. Everything is fine for now. I certainly did get the Flashlight NVSE error. I will leave it as it is. Thanks, SRB. -
Installing PN: Extra Options through FOMM via MO problem
FamousDeadGuy replied to FamousDeadGuy's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
Something seems to be wrong with the MCM install.... I don't get it. If I mess something up do I just uninstall mods until I get to the culprit of the problems? Or would I have to (in the case of a FOMM-Fork mod) uninstall from MO and re-install through FOMM? -

FamousDeadGuy replied to FamousDeadGuy's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports
Damn, during the Darnified UI install I wasn't sure what you meant by "this mod with MO click [Manual], then [Okay] during the installation". The font is HUGE on a test start-up. I will go back and add the archive to the MO/mods folder and try again. EDIT: Re-did this part: "To install this mod with MO click [Manual], then [Okay] during the installation or the default installer will skip a very important file." by dropping the archive into the ...MO/downloads... folder and also re-did the "Navigate to "optional/DarnUI" and extract the Menus folder to the ".../<Mod Organizer Directory>/mods/Project Nevada" folder." just to re-do the steps for the UI. No joy. Should I back track all the way to Darn UI and re-do everything? EDIT2: I just realized that the edit for Darn UI was incorrectly pasted. No worries. Seems fine now. -

I just did some black magic with MCM, there was not a "download with manager" link so I added the package from archive and named it identical to the already installed MCM in MO. Then I merged and followed the rest of the guide. Is this going to be fine? -

Dammit. Sorry to bother you.... (PN not ticked) -
While following the guide I hit a hangup at the package manager portion - "When the installer pops up, click [install]. The Equipment module is left unticked by default..." Right about here the installer gets an error: "Cyberware is not installed. The Cyberware Additions plugin will not be installed." and then a pop-up error: "A problem occurred during install: Exception of type 'fomm.Transactions.RollbackException' was thrown.ChinhDo.Transaction.TxFileManager+TxEnlistment Failed to roll back. Could not find a part of the path 'S:SteamsteamappscommonFallout New VegasDatatexturespnxhudline'. The mod was not installed. I am guessing this has something to do with the virtual Data folder that MO uses to mod the game. Halp?

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
FamousDeadGuy replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
There is a thread for .ini edits that covers the very same adjustments made to the .ini from the configrator menu. TIL that some of them don't even work. O_OIn Mod Organizer, there is an .ini edit tool that allows you to make changes to the .ini from inside of the interface. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
FamousDeadGuy replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
On the description page for CAGE, it says that it is not compatible with Roleplayers' Alternate Start. That is what kept me from downloading it. >_> I have recently fresh installed and would love to use the guide. I am so happy to see that FO:NV is getting some love from the STEP community. I have been inactive because my old HD took a dump... destroying my SR:LE install, which took so many hours to get just right. I am ready to learn and have some fun so I will hit up the guide tonight. Have you given any consideration to some of the prettier Power Armor mods? There are a couple out there that are phenomenal: "XV Enclave Rework" (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44490/) "Colossus T-49XV" (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42756) I did have a couple of issues with Project Nevada and More Perks interoperability. The perk in More Perks that gives the Power Armor inertia, did not work with any of the non-vanillia Power Armor that I downloaded. (Item ID issue?) Also, there was usually a patch that allowed the Armors to play nice with PN, but they didn't always work. As a Power Armor and Heavy / Energy Weapon geek, I would love to see some more energy weapons around! The only ones I have seen that are high-quality are: "Thor" (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/41073) "Murdelizer" (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/40035) "Lamprey" (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/42702/) While there is a lack of weapon mods, I think that these three are well designed, textured, and executed. I am aware that you aren't taking requests, EssArrBee, but just some things I saw that are outstanding that I believe keeps in line with the STEP theme. Of course, the most important thing is enriching the game experience, and having STABLE gameplay. I would love to help out wherever possible! I have a family and am in the military taking college as well, but I do not neglect my video games. I will warn however that I suck at FNVEdit. Cheers man, and thanks for making the guide. EDIT: For content -
Took me a while, took a break from video games for a bit. But here is the better screen of my information folder for Wearable Lanterns. https://imgur.com/kGe3sBy Another thing I have noticed is when I am strafing to the right, my camera flips upside down. BUT I did uninstall the Andalus Font which was making the line go through the letters. So at least that is solved. Something I have noticed as well is that all of the textures added by wyrmstooth seem to be black. I think it has something to do with the ddsopted files being greyed out in the Mod Organizer. "Wyrmstooth Optimized contains no esp/esm and no assets textures, meshes, interface..., directory" Man I am just full of problems. *EDIT* Fixed the Wyrmstooth display in Mod Organizer, but some of the textures outside of the East Empire Trading Company in Windhelm are still black.
