  1. Ah, I've seen this mentioned here and there, but never actually looked into it. Could you be so kind and link it for me please? Searching Nexus for various terms did not bring any results... Most grateful!
  2. Yeah, forgot to post the most important feature of my card in this case. 1280 MB of VRAM, confirmed. I have it clocked to 1000 MHz on memory, cannot squeeze any more :) Guess I'll have to reinstall TPC and go for lower res texutres... I don't want to though! I want my Skyrim to be beautiful! :( I did not tweak ini file much, just followed STEP instructions really. Hm, or can I smell new graphics card for xmas? :D (if you read this, my wife, please cover your eyes...) ::EDIT:: Running at 1920 x 1080. Most of the TPC mods are medium quality (whenever there was a choice, otherwise as per the installation guide).
  3. That was my suspicion... I run clocked Gigabyte nVidia GTX 570 SOC edition. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  4. Hi guys. I am getting massive performance drops at certain outside areas in the day time. So far I've noticed at Whiterun Stables, Valtheim Towers and a bit after Valtheim Towers, where the road turns around towards Ivarstead. But for example Riverwood is perfectly fine. Facts:  - it happens mainly in broad daylight, it's ok during the night  - it's worse with many NPC's around  - no performance drop inside locations (caverns, buildings etx.)  - happens MAINLY when turning around or running - when standing still or making really slow turns it seems to be ok The drop is MASSIVE, I mean to the point where the whole game freezes for good few seconds, the moves just a single frame maybe and then freezes again. Any advice? I was thinking of reducing shadows to Medium or using ENB without SSAO - woud this help you think? If you need any more info please let me know. Thanks!
  5. This has fixed it, thanks a lot for your help!
  6. I would say that this is a matter of personal preference and taste, and I assure I am not shortsighted, however I do wear glasses :P
  7. INI Tweaks forum description in Guides and Info section suggests that it's for Skyrim and SkyrimPrefs ini tweaks, hence posting here. If it belongs somewhere else, please can the powers that be move this thread :) Just a tiny tweak to Project ENB (CoT-Realistic) INI. This will make the clouds more apparent and vibrant and will give them more contrast and depth. The original values make them too bright in my opinion. You can adjust values to your liking. In short: CloudsIntensityDay adjusts brighteness (lower is darker) and CloudsCurveDay adjusts contrast (higher is darker and more depth). Enjoy!
  8. Thanks. I did not look into TES5 yet, so I did not check any mods I suggested so far, appreciate your effort. And yes, I love little mods like this :)
  9. Hi guys. I have a little problem. I use Project ENB CoT Realistic version and I have sun shining through objects (mountains, walls, trees, everything really). It's a lovely ENB, but this little bug kills me :( Any suggestions of what may be causing this or how to fix? Example screenshot, Bleakfalls Barrow:Â https://i45.tinypic.com/16j2cyu.jpg
  10. I am not sure how common this problem is, but it is a problem for me, when using Project ENB (for CoT). Below you can see how bright the water foam is at night, and it's something that breaks my immersion quite a bit, just doesn't feel right. Now, one of the optional files for Confidence-Man ENB  (https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/5253) provides a fix for this (replacement texture). Result is below for your comparison. The images came out really dark here, apologies. They do not truly reflect the issue unfortunately, but those of you that experience it will know what I'm talking about...Â
  11. I have Galaxy SII and although it has quite a large screen and Chrome is brilliant mobile browser as of the latest version, I highly recommend the app. That of course depends how many forums you visit and if you need access on the go, but I take that as an Admin you would love this app. I am a forum owner myself and I cannot reiterate how useful this is in terms on managing forums while you're out of PC/laptop access. TT is designed specifically to browse forums, nothing else.
  12. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14157 Immersion. It was indeed strange to me that Brynjolf comes over to a complete stranger and asks for a favour in rather dirty business. I mean, come one, as a Thieves Guild member you really should be more careful, right? So this mod makes Brynjolf no longer approach you if you are not a thief. I.e. you have to have stolen a number of items first (configurable) and it's anticipated that Brynjolf is now a much better judge of character. He won't consider you a potential recruit for the Guild until you actually do a bit of dirty work. If the player has never stolen anything, the Thieves Guild questline will never be activated. Now you can also buy genuine Falmer Blood Elixir! Experience all the wonders of this powerful potion for yourself! (which is kind of addition to the game - against STEP motto, I know) Thoughts?
  13. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19107 Again, one of those little mods that just add to immersion. And make the game just a little bit lore friendly. I know that it's against the rules to copy description, but in this case it says it all:
  14. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8507 This mod changes the weight of both items to bit more realistic values - down to 5 from 10. I think it's quite appropriate. There are 2 files, one of them also changes the attack values, which is not something I myself use, but it's good that the author gave us a choice :) One of those little mods...
  15. I have a proper phone haha! Tt is very convenient though, more than a browser :) Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Big big kudos for arranging for the forum to be available on tapatalk! I hate browsing forums via mobile browser, TT is so much more convenient! Just thought it's worth mentioning :) Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  17. Hmm, true. I admit I didn't throughly check the lore on this subject. And, in fact, I did not play dg yet :) Something to consider, although I am willing to go that little bit off lore here. I just think it's a nice addition. Of course it's a matter of taste. Regards. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
  18. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8579 (as you probably noticed I posted quite a few mod suggestions today - these are the mods that I was always using, but I could find them on these forums and thought they're worth sharing) This mod addds Cliffracers near Morrowind border, which is quite nice touch, brings back memories and also makes sense for those to actually populate those areas... V1.1 adds new recipe and some ingridients, which is fully intact with STEP mission, but this mod is really worth checking out.
  19. Discussion thread: Better Stealth AI for Followers by kryptopyr and nbtc971 Wiki Link Controls are via dialogue menu with followers - you can tell them to engage in combat at sight (vanilla) or wait until you attack first. Accepted for 2.2.9.1 Core
  20. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/23722 This nice little mod adds a lot to immersion (for me at least). It makes certain NPC travel between settlements doing "business". They will travel according to set schedule. Mod is configurable and needs to be switch on via In game menu after installation. It did not cause issues when I used it before. Not checked for error though. Some more info, as per the mod description:
  21. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8161 Does exactly what is says. If you ever got really annoyed having only 30 second to rush through your crafting or enchanting interface so you can get the crafting/enchant bonus from the potion, this mod is a saviour. I used it previously with no issues, however I have no experience in checking mods for any structural errors etc. so I do not know if there are any.
  22. https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/26558/ I used to use Headbomb's Better Sorting and was quite surprised that it is not included in STEP, until I searched the forums and came accross Mod With Errors thread :) Quite recently I noticed eclips3's Better Sorting mod on Nexus and was planning to try it out with my next playthrough, but I have now reinstalled Skyrim and then decided to follow STEP. So I've never actually used eclips3's BS mod, but I think it's worth checking out. What are your thoughts guys? Has anyone tried this mod yet?
  23. Do apologise for double post, but I just wanted to say big thanks and express my appreciation for the STEP team for compiling the guide. I reinstalled Skyrim couple of days ago and followed STEP to establish a mod-base, and so far it works like a dream! Thanks for the effort, all the tips & tweaks and the comprehensive, user friendly guide guys. Big, bug kudos to you all!
  24. I am going to try and play with what I got now, see what happens. I am currently playing main quest (never completed it before, think it's time!) and my char is only level 10 so far. Apparently iHUD caused CTDs (as per Gopher), but with new SKSE 1.6.5 they should be fixed. If the CTDs I was getting recently will persist, I will reinstall and try basic STEP :)Â
  25. I believe it's a good practise to say Hello when you joining any new community, so - Hi all, I am new to STEP forums, in fact I am new to STEP too :) I am TES fan since Morrowind. I played first 2 games too (yes, I am old enough to remember them :) ), but could not name myself 'fan' back then I guess... What I love about TES games is they are so open to modding, the fact that the modding community gets support from game developer. And of course the community itself! I think this makes these games special. If not the community of modders and mod users, they would be 'just another RPG' :) 1.8 screwed my game a bit and I plan for a clean reinstall this weekend, so I've decided to use STEP now :) Hope this will work fine! I used to run anything between 100-200 mods at a time with Skyrim 1.7.7 and everything worked perfectly (well, almost) fine, until Steam forced 1.8 update to my game... So yeah, hello everyone again and see you in threads :) Peas!
