  1. You could look at the black levels, especially in interiors; details are getting crushed pretty bad and it's why I always end up uninstalling this config.
  2. Check your Nvidia control panel and make sure that 'Preferred Graphics Processor' is set to 'High Performance NVIDIA Processor' and 'Power Management Mode' is set to 'Prefer Maximum Performance'. That should force the Nvidia GPU to handle 3D rendering while the Intel powers the display and Windows GUI as intended. Works for me on my 4600 + GTX 880m combo, anyway.
  3. Doesn't look good in either screenshot, really.
  4. I use it before Detailed Rugs because they are better than Cabal's imo.
  5. Maybe I'm just missing something, but cant you just leave BSAs both unextracted and unchecked in the archives tab? That would make the load order: 1. Official BSAs. 2. Third party BSAs loaded via plugin order. 3. Loose files. I mean, that's how I've always ran things and I don't recall any issues.
  6. I guess I don't get it... I find the wood and stone work to all be appropriately weathered and fitting. Also keep in mind that Whiterun is the proverbial jewel of Skyrim; it only makes sense that its citizens invest a bit more into upkeep than other cities.
  7. See, I can't stand to use SRO because it's overly sharp and noisy while Cabal goes for a more muted, wet, organic look that suits the game much better. Yes, his textures differ visually to some degree, but thematically? They fit much better in the world of Skyrim.
  8. What I like most about Cabal's fort textures (or his work in general) is how organic they look, especially with ENB. There is one wall texture I'm not particularly keen on, though. It's the splotchy looking one you can see near the start of Helgen. The rest look pretty good imo.
  9. I honestly can't imagine my game without these textures. Whiterun has never looked better imo.
  10. I definitely prefer these over Visible Windows, though I'm still not sure I like them enough to keep in my game. I think it's the Farmhouse texture that bothers me the most with these, something about it just seems... odd?
  11. The clean, no mole variant of Mature Skin is imo the best choice for female skin textures that actually fit into the world of Skyrim. SG, WoS, etc. just lack the detail and sense of realism.
