  1. Ok on EVT... TexGen Alpha? This is what I used before on TexGen THANKS
  2. Well has anyone been using the full installs of ELFX with good success, or there are known issues, therefore the reason(s), as to why they might not be listed in the guide? THANKS P.S. I have used them in the past, if anything, it made the ambience more realistic, I personally didn't notice any problems, but I did want to ask, in case there are known issues, and best to steer clear of, but I hope using Shadows is good, that's the one I thought was really nice.
  3. I didn't notice mention of these ELFX mods in the guide, and I thought they were also considered of importance, that should also be used with ELFX? Hmm ELFX Shadows at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) ELFX Shadows - Official Patches Hub at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) ELFX Shadows - Hearthfire Light Addon at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) ELFX Fixes at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) ELFX - Exteriors Fixes at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) ELFX Fake Door Light Remover at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) ELFX Dwemer Floor Footsteps Fix at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) ELFX Consistency Fix at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)
  4. So if I'm understanding correctly, then these would be the best settings to use? LOD4/Level0, LOD8/Billboard4, LOD16/Billboard4 Phlunder, with Billboard4 in all LOD stages, you don't notice any difference in quality, I mean, I would assume there would be a slight distance drop? Hmm I'm really trying to figure out what tree mod(s) give the best closeup and distance 3D views? Is EVT still the way to go, and if so, small, large, lush, what options best in DynDOLOD with EVT? Thanks a lot z929669 and Phlunder for your help, greatly appreciated.
  5. I was editing over my last reply, after the P.S. please have a look... THANKS P.S. If you read over the posts, I mentioned red boxes I placed around the screen shots, for the trees in that distance, that I was trying to make them look better.
  6. Yes, I agree, without an ENB, many of the NPC look really pale. I do have a few NPC mods, my bad, but even without the NPC mods, many of them still look like this. These are the NPC mods I have; Immersive Citizens - AI Overhaul SE Women of Skyrim SE UNP Blessed Body SE TK Children SE Modpocalypse NPCs - All Vanilla NPCs Modpocalypse NPCs - Resources THANKS
  7. Oh my gosh, Level0/1/2 for LOD4/8/16 chokes a 3080... LOD4/Level0, LOD8/Billboard4, LOD16/Billboard1 is what I was using, where the trees out in the distance on the mountains, I put the red boxes around, don't look so great. So between these two setups, is there anything in the middle that might make a difference? THANKS P.S. After making this reply, I changed my settings to; LOD4/Level0, LOD8/Billboard4, LOD16/Level3 These settings now appear to be slightly better at greater distance, the trees looking out in the mountains at Whiterun appear more visible. Here's the pic with the red boxes I posted before. ( I know this pic is a bit more hazy, but the trees do look slightly better now. LOD16/Level3 is better distance than LOD16/Billboard1?
  8. Ok on the settings... Woo, time until it's zipped up, 49 mins. on a Ryzen 5 5600X LOL 9.96GB THANKS P.S. Ok time to go test...
  9. I changed my settings as you recommended, this looks correct for Level0/1/2 for LOD4/8/16? THANKS
  10. Ok on the settings... I greatly appreciate your help, and I'd really appreciate it, when you get some free time, if you can take a screen shot, looking in the same direction as this one, so I can see how the far off distance/trees look for you? I've put a red box around all the trees out in the mountains, I'd love to see how yours look? THANKS
  11. I'd love to see a screen shot of the woman that's always over at Warmaiden's on your pc, what she looks like? Here's how she looks to me; She does appear, as if she's suppose to have a darker complexion. I don't have any NPC mods that effect skin tones, I have nothing installed that would effect skin tones. I personally think this is an ENB lighting issue, so many ENB out there have saturation, gamma, hue, and other various lighting issues going on. Also, I don't see that there are a lot of really great ENB out there that support LUX/EVLAS very well. In the past week I've tried about 15, and they all had really bad light issues. All I know is, if I disable the subsurface scattering, it's better, and if I disable the ENB, it's 100% improved.
  12. I have read over all of the DynDOLOD & BethINI sections under this URL; Step Skyrim Special Edition Guide (stepmodifications.org) I have BethINI on Ultra settings and I probably have the game looking as good as it's going to get on a 3080. I'm only lost as far as trying to understand if I can get the trees to look ever better, further out in the distance as I was asking? Ok, so LOD32 is only for the Map, and LOD16 is the furthest to see in game? But, in that screen shot I posted, asking about the trees behind the castle and in the mountains, can those look better, that far out? THANKS
  13. I have pretty much a good baseline of SE already, and looking over the Step Guide, I have the basics in place. I've been modding SE for around a year, this problem is pretty much prevalent in all ENB, and seems to be an issue ENBs bring on, at least I see it this way. I do use LUX, and EVLAS, maybe LUX is also creating an issue here too. So looking over the Step Guide, I really don't see what would pertain just to this problem... hmm P.S. I ditched ELFX and ENB Light since there isn't any development on them, and LUX/EVLAS seemed like the future, since they're in current development
  14. Oh, I forgot to ask, in the second screen shot I posted above, the trees out in the further distance, behind the castle, and out in the mountains, if I use in LODGen LOD32 will those be more visible realistic looking? LOD32 means to have the farthest view? These are my DyDOLOD 3 settings, not sure how to use/adjust the best distance view? THANKS
  15. Here's one of the kids glowing...
  16. Shift+F12 , no more pink looking NPC... LOL With the ENB enabled I turned off subsurface scattering, I read about it, but it didn't help. Hmm
  17. So many of the NPC I see running around, which I'm assuming has to do with the ENB you use, casts a pink/orange like hue on their faces, and especially saturated looking in the bright light. Here's an NPC in Whiterun, notice the pink hue to the face and hands? This NPC doesn't look so bad, but before she sat down and was walking out in the direct light, she then was like glowing 2-3x more pink/orange then this, really bad looking. I've probably used around 15-20 different ENB since using SSE, and I've seen this hue issue, no matter what ENB I was using. I see this all the time on many of the games NPC, especially the children, it looks so terrible, like these people have roasted in the sun... LOL Anyone know if there's a MOD to address this? THANKS
  18. Here are my TexGen settings I changed, for the grass, tree, hd tree. I then put the Billboard Brightness on -7 in DynDOLOD. Here's how the trees look now in the distance in Whiterun, using 'Skyrim Floral Overhaul'. These results look much better. Maybe this is as good as it gets in the distance? THANKS
  19. I wasn't having much luck with Cathedral ENBs, so I'm playing now with NAT and Natural View Tamriel. Natural View Tamriel (NVT) ENB at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) So Skyrim SE should have nicer looking trees, then those screen shots I posted in the original post? I don't know what 'tree brightness; in DynDOLOD_SSE.ini you are referring to? I only know of the Billboard Brightness in the DyDOLOD GUI. We all know everyone has their own personal preferences, but preferences aside, are there are particular tree mods, considered the best HD looking? I'm was just playing around with Myrkvior, not sure Myrkvior is that great, had some screen door effect issues with it. Before, I was using Enhanced Vanilla Trees, and EVT didn't seem so great either. For now I'm going to play with 'Skyrim Floral Overhaul', any recommendations on the settings to use for this? It would really be appreciated, if you, or someone could please post some screen shots, in Whiterun, looking off in the same directions, as the screen shots I posted, so I can actually see some realistic 3D model looking trees, to get an idea, of what they are going to look like. THANKS
  20. If I'm closer to trees, they certainly look better, but it doesn't take much distance between me and the trees before they don't look good. I'm at Riverwood, showing how trees look at a closer distance.
  21. I'm using SE 1.6.353.0, with DynDOLOD 3 Alpha 95. I'm running 1440p with a EVGA FTW Ultra 3080. I understand the age of Skyrim, and how it seems to appear to me, that some things will never look Next Gen AAA titles, but when it comes to trees, I was really hoping to see much better quality looking distance trees than I am seeing. So I'm not sure if this is as good as it gets, or I'm not doing something correct. I'm using Myrkvior - The Flora Of Skyrim - Trees SSE Myrkvior - The Flora Of Skyrim - Trees SSE at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) And Myrkvior - TFoS Add-On - 3D Hybrid Trees SSE - DynDOLOD Myrkvior - TFoS Add-On - 3D Hybrid Trees SSE - DynDOLOD at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) I'm attaching screen shots of my xLODGEN, TexGEN, DynDOLOD 3 settings I'm using. I've also attached two screen shots of how the pine trees looking just standing outside Whiterun. Is this really as good as the pine trees are going to look in the distance? Hmm Also, the colors of the pine trees look pretty bleak, also not very 3D looking, and coughing up the $$$ for a 3080, I'm really hoping I can make them look at lot better than this. Any help/input would be greatly appreciated! THANKS These are DynDOLOD 4K settings, previously I used 2K.
  22. I was trying to edit my post over, the Blubbos link I posted is for the latest version. I made a mistake and forgot to put a link to the older version that I am using, that is still archived on nexumods. Blubbos Trees in Whiterun - DELETED at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) I don't like the new version, it's been changed, has a different look/trees...
  23. Hi Sheson, The flash doesn't change in intensity, it only briefly flashes for one second like the screen shot is all I see. So when I fast travel from anywhere on the map to Whiterun, as soon as I appear inside Whiterun, that very second, it flashes white like the screen shot, but it doesn't always happen. I noticed if I shutdown the game, load a save, then jump to Whiterun, it will always happen like this. I've attached a screen shot of M02, showing the Mode Index number 20, is that the 20 you mean? Which oddly enough, points to a Whiterun Mod called Blubbos Trees. I think I found the problem, DynDOLOD and Blubbos; (I unchecked Blubbos in MO2, then restarted SE, no more flash, then I quit SE, enabled Blubbos in MO2, restarted SE, and the flash came back). Blubbos Whiterun 2022 at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com) THANKS
  24. Hi, I'm attaching logs I could find, related to Page 1, I hope these are the correct ones. I'm also attaching a screen shot from the console showing the Reference Form ID. I don't have More Informative Console. You mentioned; If the form ID points to a DynDOLOD plugin, load the plugin into xEdit and look up the reference. Sorry I don't understand the 'DynDOLOD plugin'? Plugin? You mean check DynDOLOD.esp in Xedit and only run it? THANKS P.S. I loaded Xedit with only DynDOLOD.esp and tried to lookup 20005902 and there was nothing showing in Xedit.
